We knew we wanted a small deck built but Taylor was great at design and suggesting materials. Everyone who worked on the project was great. We ran into a pre-existing structural problem with a window. I was so impressed with how quickly it was addressed - I received a text that someone would be there to look at it first thing in the morning. The repairs were done the same day. AIt went extremely well. It took us a long time to pick a company to do this work, but when we met Greg Aikin we pretty much knew that he was the one for us and we weren't disappointed. Greg came to our house twice to measure, provide suggestions and make sure that we would get what we wanted. He answered all our questions clearly and promptly, whether by phone, email or text. The old casement windows were made of wood and had started rotting at the bottoms. Some of the seals were broken, thus impeding visibility. The windows were in two large frames of five windows each. The windows were over 5 feet tall, so quite heavy. Because of the weight and size, removal and installation had to be done carefully and skillfully. Greg and his two workers did just that. Greg was with his two workers throughout the entire process, making sure that the job was done right. We are very pleased with our new windows. They work great and look great. While not the lowest bidder, we are completely satisfied with Greg Aikin's work and would readily hire him again.

DDisappointed for a second time with a small fence installation. The first time it was installed the boards warped in a matter of weeks. They offered to redo the fence and I opted to pay more for a higher quality wood. These things happen, so no worries up to this point. The second install appeared rush, as you can see from the pictures, the top of the boards are not level across, as if no level line was used. The middle support on the back is very slanted. The board on the front with the latch was also installed crooked. Why? All these things I was willing to overlook just to be done with it. But now, a few months later, all the staples they used to install the fence are bleeding down onto the wood and it is quite an eyesore. So it appears the wrong staples were used for the application. A quick google search taught me that for cedar fences, use stainless steel, aluminum or polymer-coated fasteners. Don’t use galvanized steel – the zinc in the fasteners may react with the acids in the cedar and create corrosion streaks. So what now? I guess I have to spend hundreds more and buy the tools and materials to do it again myself next year. Very upsetting...

AFrom the first time that I met Ray I felt like I knew him for a really long time. Ray was confident in the work that he was doing but yet very approachable and answered all of questions and concerns appropriately. The team had a good sense of humor and made me feel comfortable, having them in my home when I wasn't there wasn't a problem. Even though something wasn't originally included in the bid/price Ray agreed to do fix a small part on the outside of my door, it was something that I wasn't expecting yet he went above any beyond. As someone who is a new homeowner Ray helped me choose the right door people and has suggested flooring people as well to talk to. The work I had done involved taking out some walls and making the kitchen larger. The drywall into plaster is really remarkable, the whole thing is really remarkable compared to when I bought the house. I will definitely find a way to get Every on another project.

BOverall I am very pleased with the work performed by W.M.G.B! The price was very fair and the installer was on time and quick to finish the job. The only thing preventing me from giving excellent marks all around was that the installer misunderstood our project request and switched a couple vented windows but the quality of the work and the care he took to complete it were well above average so I am not worried about it!

FScheduled a "quote" and ended up with a 4 and 1/2 hour presentation, fed lines of bull crap over and over until we are about to fall asleep on our kitchen table. He made the deal seem great but we were also half asleep, he used high pressure sales tactics like taking off a "HUGE" discount for signing today that's just a load of bs. But it worked and he got us to sign that night. The next morning we woke up out of our trance and immediately sent out the cancelation notice that luckily Michigan provides us the option to due because if it was up to them they would not allow you to cancel but it's the law. Companies like them are the reason this law exists, if you need something done on your home do NOT hire them because they will always be crazy over priced and won't leave your house until you sign something.
