Teachout Builders Inc & Teachout Roofing Inc
Teachout Builders Inc. did a little bit of everything in our house -- a wall opened up, a few entrances widened, a complete change out of our kitchen and master bathroom, paint for the entire interior, plus countless other smaller jobs. We are please with the results and are settling into a space that reflects our family. We would highly recommend giving them a call if you are planning to remodel.

    Northern Home Improvement

We are very pleased with the quality of the work, as well as the quality of the products.  The installation didn't happen as soon as we had hoped; the outside temperatures were too cold to guarantee the seals on the new windows and door.  I appreciated the fact that Northern didn't push ahead and install them anyway - it was well worth the wait.

I will definitely use Northern Home Improvement the next time we need work done on our home - they were fabulous.

    Pella Windows and Doors
Their guy was just terrific, but the Pella windows were just outrageously expensive. The technician came back and did my wife's art room as a non-Pella project. All the Pella stuff is top quality, but is very expensive. You get what you pay for.

    Zischke Builders
Outstanding...from the first introductory meeting thru the estimate process and thru each phase of the job. Jessie commuincated at every step of the project, said what he was going to get doen and got that done each time, worked very well with the other contractors on the job. No detail was left untouched.

Marty's Handyman and Consulting Service LLC
The job went very smoothly!  Marty provided a detailed bid within 24 hours of visiting my home.  He arrived on time each day he said he would be here to work.  He followed through with the quote exactly as noted, even though the work took longer than expected.  A 50% downpayment was required with final payment due upon completion.  The doors and trim look very professional and you can tell he takes pride in his work.  He broke up the work in "mini jobs" that took 2-3 days to complete and wrote up a detailed invoice for each "mini job."  This protected both him and I and assured me of him not leaving for a few days in the middle of a large project to assist other customers.

    Carpentry Plus Building Inc
Brad worked with us throughout the project, he explained options, and gave us all the choices without forcing us to compromise on quality or price.  He was able to deliver several amazing upgrades not included in our original plans including a huge egress window that provided fantastic natural light, and decoratively framing out the duct work and beams to maximize head space.  He worked with multiple sub contractors who were all courteous, prompt, and highly skilled.

    C & L Ward Brothers Co
We received three bids to replace two exterior doors. We were very impressed with the quality of Cand L Ward's product (Therma Tru doors) based on what we had read on the Internet, and we were equally impressed with what two neighbors had said about Cand L Ward's professionalism and work ethic. We also liked the fact that the door would come factory painted with any colors we selected from Sherwin-William's huge fan deck, insuring a smooth coat and no odor in the house. On top of that we were sold by Ward's and quot;Peace of Mind Guarantee.and quot; If at any time the doors do not perform as promised Cand L Ward will come out without any charge and fix the problem. Period.

After we picked out the style of doors we wanted our sales rep. measured for the doors. He showed us the Sherwin-Williams fan deck and we chose the paint colors (one color for both interiors and different colors for the exteriors) that would be factory applied.

Everything went exactly as we were told by our sales representative: A technician scheduled an appointment to re-measure the doors (measure twice, cut once) and we were called a couple of times to keep us posted on their progress.

When the doors were ready we were called again to set up an appointment. On installation day, because the installers were running just a little late, we were called yet again to let us know their time-line.

The installers worked straight-through without any breaks; they were polite, but were all business. When the job was complete we checked out the keys that were keyed to the rest of the house, and everything worked well. When the installers left, the work areas were picked up and free of debris.

In the future if we need to replace our windows we would not hesitate to use Cand L Ward.

    All Phase Remodeling Inc
he owner of the company, Lyle, came out to bid on an estimate for replacing two exterior doors, examining and replacing decaying exterior wood, investigating where leaks might be coming into the basement, and updating a bathroom with a quartz countertop, new faucets, sinks, and re-grouting the floor and replacing several cracked pieces of tile. When he arrived at our home he knew that we had been looking at bids on doors from other companies that specialized in windows and doors, and after we gave him the exact kind of door/model numbers we needed he gave us a verbal estimate for the doors. He then spent a great deal of time with us going over the rest of  job, and we were impressed with his eye for detail and general knowledge. Several days later we received All Phase's bid on the doors only, which matched Lyle's previous verbal estimate. A day or two after that we accepted another door company's bid because it was lower and included a factory finish paint job. Not having heard from Lyle about the other aspects of the job we stopped in to Lyle's office to see how the bid was coming along as well as to look at quartz samples. We told him that we had accepted a bid from another company for the doors only, but looked forward to and had pretty much decided we would be going with All-Phase for the other projects. Nevertheless Lyle became very quiet, gathered up his things and started walking out of his office to go back to the Lansing's Home Show where he had been earlier in the day. I asked him as he was leaving when we might get his bid.  He said he was pretty busy. I pressed, and said, "In two weeks or so?"  He said something like, "I don't know."  I did not leave with a good feeling. About two weeks later when we just about had given up hearing from Lyle, we received a letter indicating that All-Phase would not be bidding on the job because All-Phase takes great pride in its work and being so busy they didn't feel they had the time to devote to it.

    Levinsohn Restoration & Remodeling Co
I contacted Elliot about installing the storm door. After he finished the two jobs he was then working on, he called me back and scheduled the installation. At the time, I had told him I had one or two smaller things to do. He inquired when he came as to what they were and promptly did them after installing the storm door. As I live alone and am older, this was a tremendous help to me.
