  • At first the communication was as great! Taylor is awesome and Don was friendly and knoweldgeable. They brought the price down rather quickly, which made me feel like we were being overcharged, but they brought it down the same as a previous quote we received. The work was done, but there was still a small amount of water coming thru. I called Don and sent pictures via text per his request on a Thursday (as soon as I saw the water). His responded via text that the warranty department would be contacting me. I didn't receive a call until Monday from a company I never heard of. Apparently the job had been outsourced, but this information was never communicated to my husband and I. Not only did they call me 4 days later, they said they wouldn't be available to come back until the following week. I sent Don an email, I explained how we wer me put back by the fact a different company called, how it took a long time to get a call and how it's going to take nearly 2 weeks from the time we noticed the leak for someone to finish the repair. I received NO RESPONSE! I felt like not only was my job handed off to another company, I had no idea who they were or any way to contact them, but also I felt like we paid them and we are no longer important. So my experience started off well and ended with me wishing I had gotten more quotes and maybe even gone with a different company. It's now been over a week since I sent the email and I still haven't received a response. I thought I asked all the right questions at the beginning... I guess this is why when we said we wanted to think about going with this company, Don said it wouldn't be worth it for him to come back to our house if we didn't make a decision right then....

  • They did a beautiful job. The basement looks great! The staff that Rick works with were incredible - they were polite and very professional. We would use them again in a heartbeat! The price was right also - it is hard to find such great quality work with such great pricing.

  • I very highly recommend Steve's Concrete, and am totally satisfied with every aspect of the job. Had him tear out the existing single driveway, and pour a new double-wide plus short sidewalk leading up to the front porch.
Demolition, base prep and forming was completed the first day, pouring of concrete and finish work done the next, then contraction/crack control joints and cleanup done the morning of the third day.
Steve helped me come to a decision as to what design/configuration would look best, and was there every step of the way to answer my questions and address concerns. They were here each day when scheduled, and everything was completely cleaned up at the end of the job. It was a pleasure dealing with both him and his workmen.
It's obvious that Steve is not just the "front guy" or salesman - he knows every aspect of his business and you can tell they take pride in their work. I would readily recommend him, and would definitely contact again should I need cement work done. Great job!

  • There was an initial mix-up with the appointed time. However, it was taken care of with one phone call and the service guy was here the next morning. He did the job faster than I expected.  All went well. My bathtub drain is unclogged and I have a beautiful, and functional, new faucet.  Good job. I recommend them to others. In fact, I already have.

  • There was 2 feet of water in the basement and everything was destroyed. The contractor was very competitively priced but it took longer than the estimate, and I'm not talking a couple of days or weeks. It went almost 4 weeks over. The staff was excellent. They were always upfront with me. They were courteous. They were professional in their demeanor.

  • That was the worst experience I have had. I had to call my insurance agent and I told him not to refer them to anyone else. They splurged on the hours and charged me for four hours of work they did on someone else’s home. Initially because I have been in the hospital all summer long my agent told them that we needed some help and he said that they happened to send someone to the office and he sent them away, then I wanted to know how did he get in contact with these people but even though they knew my husband was sick, I was sick, we still had to give them the deductible first. Nicole Miller is the project supervisor and she said, they only take the deductible but the very next day she was asking me for another $1500 and I didn’t have that. I had to call the mortgage company; the insurance company sent the check in my name and initially when I stopped paying on their check, it was just something about them that still wasn’t right and the things that she was saying. She told me if I cancelled out, I would have to pay a restocking fee and that she had ordered me a $2500 dehumidifier, well that never came to operation. I asked her if they were sub contractors or if they were her workers because a lot of times we are not here to work with the subcontractors and she said no they were her workers. Later on, I found out there were all insurance people coming to my home and they were literally trying to take clothes that were not damaged. Her guys were fighting over my stuff in the basement. I was trying to figure out why she was so insistent on tearing down my Peter Cobb and I said it was built into the foundation of my house and my husband made sure that he mopped all under there. I said there was some water that got under the base and they almost sent me a bill for $5700 and they hadn’t cleared any water and hadn’t done any moping. The only thing that they really did was to contain that area with plastic tape and duct tape and that was $95. The guy that came out with the dehumidifier, it was like $75 a day a $125 for him to plug it into the wall and if I had known that I would have plugged them in myself.

  • The basement took 1 month and one week.  The workers were outstanding.  They took care of my house as much as they did their work.  The cedar work is outstanding.  During the process the contractor made sure to keep me informed about they progress and asked many detail questions.  I always felt like I was included, and any suggestion or change was never a challenge.  They arrived promptly everyday and worked their full shift.  It was a pleasure to use the company and partnering with them on my vision.

  • The inspector, Dale, was prompt and professional on the day he came to give an estimate. He explained what he believed to be the problem and provided several options for repairs, with benefits and drawbacks of each. We agreed on a wall anchor system and scheduled a date for the work. On the agreed date a 3 man crew, led by Alex arrived on time. He put plastic down to cover my stairs and floors. Alex explained exactly what they would be doing. Encouraged me to observe the work and take pictures of the work in progress if desired, because it will all be covered when they finish. The crew did an excellent job and answered every questioned I had while they were working. When finished, Alex walked me through the entire job. Again answered all questions. They finished quicker than I or my wife thought they would. They cleaned up and left the work site clean. They could not replace the grass because it was December and cold. But that was explained before they started.

  • When I called for an estimate, David said he could come out the same day. I set appointment for next day. He was very prompt. Appeared to be very knowledgeable. Presented a very unique solution, that probably would work. Reasons I did not use this company. 1st, his ad says this type of work not required to be licensed. State of Mich Dept Licensing says a license is required. 2nd, I could not find any record of the business be registered in State of Mich or Wayne County were he is located. 3rd, price was too high for an unlicensed, unregistered company.

  • The work went great.  Phil showed up on time as promised and went to work.  I was out of town and gave Ryan had  a key to get into the house.  They did a great job with everything I asked them to do.  The floors turned out great. The basement ceiling tiles and basement work was also done well and everything was clean and put back together.  I would recommend Ryan's company to others.
