    , Drainage line clogged and flooded basement AGAIN.  Rapid Rooter had been out in  April 2015 and unclogged the MAIN drainage line @ double the cost of this visit, but included a contract to cover the main line for a year.  Of course, the line that clogged was not under warranty.  I was in the hospital at the time, and a call from my sister at the house to Rapid Rooter was responded to quickly.  The service man cleared the line  and explained the problem.  Upon returning home and going through the paperwork, I found that the 15% discount that I should have received according to the above named contract was not noted on the receipt.  When I called to inquire, I was given the response that the discount was given in the written price.  I responded saying that an invoice/receipt always, in my experience, indicates the full price and then the discount, which obviously this receipt did not indicate.  The account manager responded in a timely basis to my written letter and explained that the service person did not correctly complete the receipt: One column was to indicate the regular price, and the column next to it  was for the "member" price.  The regular price column was not filled in.  This is a poor business practice and caused me wasted time as well as a lot of frustration.  Even though this is a what I consider a minor incident, it shouldn't have happened.  My grades were based on this incident.  One other notable question is why wasn't the second drain line included in the "contract?"  It had been inspected during the first visit.    All in all, I would call Rapid Rooter again.  Hopefully, this is the end of a flooded basement.

    Arrived 45 minutes after call back. Replaced the valve in a matter of minutes, cleaned floor, and when asked how much, was told the cost was nothing. It was ZERO dollars! The worker was so nice and friendly and knew exactly the problem and how to fix it fast. I will always call Duff Plumbing from now on!

    They wear booties.  But I would rather have someone who instead of worrying about their shoes would give me a good price or a fair price.  At that time he showed me how easy it was.  It was a five minute job and I got charged about $275 for that five minute job and I realized that it was probably the going rate.  But to me the going rate was just price fixing for all the plumbers in the area and it was not right.  He went down here and turned the water on and I had an old plumbing system and he started dancing around that and made a big deal about checking things out.  He just saw a lot of money there that could be made.  He sold me a $10,000 broiler unit and I told him that I was not interested in it.  If I?m going to change things I will update the whole thing.  He told me that he would probably have to tell the city and insurance about my situation and it to me it sounded like extortion.  I called the city insurance and asked for a police officer come out and I filed a report and he sent out the building inspector and I explained what happened.  But they cannot take sides so they took the information down and showed them everything.  I told them I will file a case because I think it was dishonesty.  People can?t just come in here and make some threats because I could not accept his services.   

    I thought their price was very high.  I can't complain about the quality of work because they fixed it and did their job the way they were supposed to.  They came out pretty quickly.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
    They sent two men, one stood on the side and watch the other guy do it. They still charged me $92. I was pretty pissed off. I told them I will never recommend anybody to them. I would have done it myself, I was not feeling good at that time. They said, call us when you need us, it will be not more than 15 minutes. They cost too much money.

    This provider helped us with an unusual emergency situation with our pool.  They saved us thousands of dollars by being so responsive and helping us contact the correct repair provider.  Problem was solved within 48 hours.  They installed our pool before we bought the house and continued to service it even all these years later.  Thank you!!!

    Ed was always on time and made special efforts to get to our house on specific days to accommodate other contractors. With an all new kitchen and significant bathroom remodels, there was considerable juggling of schedules. 

    Ed re-plumbed the whole house except parts of the upper bathroom where we asked him to save the original tile floor. He worked around our request and the water pressure upstairs is just fine. In addition to all materials (PEX & some copper) and labor for re-plumbing, cost included a new water line to our ice maker, hook-up for new kitchen sink and dishwasher, new hardware installation for the refinished cast-iron tub, new sink in the half bath, and a new laundry sink installed in our basement.

    All in all I found his prices very fair and his work thorough. Inspector let us know there were plumbing styles in our house that most younger plumbers would not have known how to change, but with Ed's expertise the updates will be easier to address years down the line if necessary. Highly recommended, but he is very busy so call ahead!
