It did not go well. Dr.Misibi came in and examined her skin and confirmed what I had already known, that she had eczema. I explained to him that it did run in both my side and her father's side of the family. I also explained to him what was happening with her not sleeping for two days straight almost. She would take a 10-15 minute nap and would wake up screaming. Also at the time I was breast feeding and she would not eat, I even tried from a bottle and she just screamed. Her skin was honestly so bad you could tell where she was laying because her dry skin was just peeling off. Her face was swollen, she looked like she was in pain. Dr. Misibi told me there was nothing that I could do! He told me to keep Vaseline on her skin and it would go away! I was so upset. My daughter was in pain and her doctor was telling me there was nothing I could do for her. It was not acceptable! After that I took her to Children's Health Care which is another pediatric office in the area. Dr. Barodawalla Rumana (Children's Health Care) said that was the worse she has ever seen. She immediately put her on two creams and an oral to take away the itchiness and help her sleep. After that we had no more problem! Needless to say Dr.Misibi is not the best. If you are a mother you can truly understand where I am coming from. We depend on doctors to help our children when we cannot, health wise, and for one to tell you there is nothing that can be done is rubbish.

I felt that Dr. Fox (and Dr. W, when we had to bring our son in for unscheduled appts.) provided adequate service, but her philosophy seemed to differ a bit from ours.

In the hospital I didn't feel that she was supportive of our choice not to circumcise our son and though she seemed to be supportive of breast-feeding, there were a few opportunities that she could have suggested some resources for us when we were encountering problems, and instead she suggested switching to formula.

So we decided to switch to Dr. Francisco Lossio instead, and have been happier with his service. Though I do greatly miss Dr. Fox's nursing staff, which was top notch!

Dr. Misibi seems to be a very knowledgeable doctor however has bad bedside manners. He would not take some of my concerns seriously and told me that I just had a fussy child. Anyone who knows my son knows that he a very happy go lucky little guy; fussy definitely means something is not right. On the plus side, his staff and PA were always great and the walk-in appointment availability were terrific.

We felt that our concerns weren't be addressed as we would like. We subsequently went to a different pediatrician closer to our home.
