    Vredevoogd Heating & Cooling Inc
Great! The product advisor was very helpful in selecting the right system for our needs. The workers were timely and very efficient. All staff were very courteous. With the extreme cold this week we are very happy to have a reliable heating system in place. When I called with a question yesterday I received an answer right away, and it was easy to apply the information.

Our Central air started acting up last year at the end of the season (Freezing up) - come spring heat and it decided not to cool at all.
Called Mark and left a message at 8am Monday morning. He called back around 10am, said he could be by between noon and 1pm.
He called when he was 45 minutes away, arrived a little early (always a good thing)
When we checked in the basement, I was a little embarrassed to see how dirty the air filter was - Mark was very nice about it, and helped install a clean one.
With the system running, he added the coolant. Very cool - the sound of the compressor changed as the charge reached the correct level. It was down about 2.6 lbs.
Mark explained that the effort to identify the leak wasn't likely worth the cost at this point, and estimated the refill should last a season or two.
Mark was very friendly and informative. Didn't try to upsell or push unnecessary services. The price was very fair.

Calls back in a timely fashion and shows up when he says he will. Seems to not take much pride in the work, does the work needed but does not go above and beyond. He did not suggest a long term fix for why the unit keeps leaking freon. After replacing the blower motor there was a rattle so he just hit the side of the unit and when it rattled again he just packed up and left.

    Vander Hyde
They replaced the voltage regulator, ran some tests and felt the problem was more serious than the voltage regulator. The technician explained to us in order to determine the actual problem it could involve additional labor which could add up quickly and since the generator was 10 years old we might want to consider whether or not we wanted to invest money into more repairs or consider replacing the generator. We decided to get a quote from Vander Hyde for a new generator. While waiting for the quote for a new generator from Vander Hyde we decided to get a second opinion. We called Michigan Critical Power (MCP) and they came out to have a look. MCP wanted to start the diagnosis from scratch by checking the voltage regulator. Vander Hyde did not re-install the original voltage regulator. I contacted Vander Hyde and explained I was getting a second opinion and needed the original voltage regulator. They said I could come and get it if I wanted it. After the original voltage regulator was installed by MCP they determined the regulator was in fact bad. MCP installed a new voltage regulator, ran a few checks, made a couple adjustments and determined the generator was good to go. I have since ran the generator for two partial weekends to ensure satisfactory operation with no problems. It appears the second opinion saved me a lot of money.

    Canfield Plumbing & Heating Inc
They came over and did a complete evaluation of our house to determine the proper size furnace.  They explained the pros and cons of the various options and the costs associated with each.      We were a bit pressed for time and they were able to fit us in despite it being winter and the holiday season.
The work was done quickly and professionally.   There was a small unintended event where some pvc glue spilled on our new white freezer, but it's ithe basement, so no big deal.
The furnace has worked fine and follow up questions were answered quickly.

We were very pleased.  The serviceman was timely, professional, and was able to install the high quality brand we wanted.  When we had a flood in our home this past year (the 100 year flood of 2013), I had Canfield come and check the heating unit to ensure it was still in good working order.  They were prompt and professional.  I highly recommend this company to others.

They were very helpful in making the decision to purchase the heat pump instead of a gas furnace. The owner made several trips to our house to discuss the job with us. Never any pressure, just straightforward information shared. System is in and working well.

When I arrived home on November 25, 2013 I was without heat.   It was 54 degrees in my home.   I called Canfield Plumbing and Heating and they were at my house within the hour of my call.   The serviceman was courteous and professional.   He had my furnace running again within a 1/2 hour of entering my home.

Trevor and Alex arrived early and promptly went to work assessing my aging furnace.  They cleaned the burners, checked the gas pressure and heat exchanger and ran a combustion analyzer test for Co2. They noted the damper was set to "on" which was wasting heat and reset it to "auto".  I feel much more secure in the furnace safety and reliablity now that it has been inspected and cleaned.  Great service and attitude.  Will definitely use this company again.  Thanks Trevor and Alex!

    Jacobson Heating & Cooling
I called on a Tuesday and they were at my house my Thursday.  Our air conditioning unit was not working because of field mice making a nest in the winter and chewing on wires.  The technician found out the air conditioning unit needed a new capacitor and compressor plus it had to get new wiring.  The capacitor was replaced with some new wiring, but the compressor had to be ordered.  The tech was so nice that he even found out for us if our unit was under warranty which made a huge difference in price.  We could have ended up paying thousands, but because the tech was able to get a new part that was covered by our warranty the price was under $500!!!  The part came in the following week and the technician was at our house by Wednesday so from the first phone call until the job was completed was under a week.  I highly recommend Jacobson's because they were professional, friendly, fast and helped us save money.
