    When I originally requested the service it was for repair to my garage door. They were very quick to reach out and make contact. After describing my problem, they said they would be out that afternoon, and should be able to make the needed repairs. After coming out and speaking with me, he learned that we were going to replace the door for new later in the year. As an offer, they were able to fit the replacement in the next day, and it was comparable to price quotes we had gotten in earlier research. So within 24 hours we got a new garage door, and did not have to pay for the repair and then pay again for the replacement. We will be using them again once the weather is warmer, to install the new opener. Prompt, Professional, and will recommend this service to anybody!

    He was on time, he quickly pointed out that I did not need the work done that I bought the big deal for. He did do the work that I did need done. I love that he was honest with me the big deal I bought was more expensive then the work I had done and he let me know of that instead of just taking the money for the more expensive deal.

    Valentine arrived at my home to give me an estimate in April or May  2014.  She was extremely professional, personable, and really knows her business.  She answered my multiple questions and was so very helpful.  Of the five contractors that I asked to provide estimates, she was the most thorough. They were much more expensive than the other concrete contractors were so I was not able to afford their services. However, based on their responsiveness, professionalism, thoroughness, and knowledge of the industry,
    if you can afford them, I would recommend them.

    Bruce was approximately 40 minutes early. He was professional, personable, and very helpful.  I have had several estimates on my driveway but wanted to add some additional projects.  He noted that widening my driveway by 2' would be possible but 1' of it would not be totally usable due to some shrubs that would remain. I had not noticed this before and none of the other contractors caught or mentioned this.  That tells me he is very ethical since he suggested cutting back the new width by 1', which would take money out of his pocket. I have not yet made a decision on who I will go with but I was very impressed with Bruce just from the estimate. His company was a bit more than the other contractor I had out but the other company quoted a foot more and I need to get a re-quote before making my decision.

    I requested an estimate for some concrete work in April 2014.  When I spoke with the owner Jack, I noted that I had to be here when he came to give me the estimate as I had some specific things I wanted quoted. He agreed.  Because I have had contractors just show up to estimate the work without me being here, I relayed to him that under no circumstance was he to show up and quote a general quote, as it would waste both our time.  Well he showed up and provided the quote when I was not available. He never called ahead or knocked on the door (I was home but did not know he was out there).  I am not sure why my request was so difficult to understand but apparently, it was.  Therefore, there was a lot of going back and forth trying to get a quote on what I actually wanted done.  Early June 2014, I called him to let him know that I wanted to use him to complete the work. He said he had enough work.  While I was in the middle of a sentence, he actually hung up the phone on me.  What is it with the concrete contractors that they are so unbelievably unprofessional? I too am a business owner and would never treat a customer in such a manner.  I then called back and it went to voice mail. I left a message that if we were disconnected to please call me back to discuss him contacting me if he had a cancellation or for the job to possibly be done in 2015.  He never called back which confirmed my suspicions that he purposely hung up on me.   He has a good rating on Angie?s list but I would never recommend someone get an estimate from this person.  He doesn?t listen to his customers, is argumentative, and hanging up on a customer that is trying to hire you, is unacceptable.  My recommendation is to go with a contract that knows basic listening skills and is not so unprofessional and obnoxious that they hang up on customers. Nobel was the most professional of all the estimates I received. I was loathe to post this review since I posted one other review that was much nicer than this one and the contractor called me up harassing me that I had better change my review to only show the positive.  I decided I don't like being bullied and bad customer service coupled with being highly unprofessional needs to be reported.

    I asked for an estimate at the Home and Garden Show but noted that I needed to be present as I wanted several different things quoted. They just showed up one day and luckily I had recently gotten home so I was there to get a correct quote.  Otherwise, it would have been wasted time.  I was informed by the person quoting me that they had called earlier in the day. I checked my phone and they had called about one hour before and left a voice mail when no one was available saying they would be over to provide a estimate.  Odd way to conduct estimates because if I had not gotten home when I did they would have had to come back out.  Which is why I noted no less than 3 times to the individual at the Home and Garden show that no one was to just show up at my home without an appointment. I had this same situation occur before with another concrete contractor so not sure why they are not listening to potential customers.  The individual providing the quote  was professional and personable. He said they would email me a quote but it has been 10-days and I have not receive it yet.  Maybe he did send it but I checked my spam and did not see anything from their company or anything stating it was for a driveway estimate.  I was supposed to get a Home and Garden Show discount but they still seemed a bit high.  No sure yet if I will use them and I still need the actual estimate.

    We used Scholten for this winter, and the pricing model seems fair to us. I believe it is the first 25 plows are covered under the base price, and an additional $10 per pull after that. Last year was a rough year, so as you can imagine he would have plowed quite frequently for customers and incurred extra fuel and vehicle wear and tear costs. The pricing model seems reasonable to me. He could be charging more up front and pocketing the extra when winters are mild. He has always made sure our driveway was clear in time for us to go to work (and I get up fairly early). We've not noticed the noise, but then plowing snow is going to make noise.  We would definately use him again.

    Linda is amazing! I'm a bit of a control freak and a pack rat, but she made me so comfortable and did such an amazing job that I'm much better off now than if I had done it myself. She's a very hard worker and worth way more than she charges. I can't recommend Linda enough!!!

    Revised Review - Joe Kamps called
    after being notified about my original review and debated with me for quite
    some time about my review. He agreed to refund me the overcharge
    that I was never originally informed about. Then he called again today
    stating that if I did not revise my review he would be forced to respond
    to it. So I changed the price from a C
    to a B and the overall score from a C to a B. I also did some
    modifications to my below critique.

    Joe Kamps is very personable. He provided a very fair estimate for the
    work being done and products being used. He is also very knowledgeable. It
    took him 4 weeks past when he stated he would replace my garage door to
    actually get him here. I asked him at our initial meeting, by telephone
    before he started the job, and by email if there were any additional costs
    beyond what he originally gave me. He stated no. So he was asked this
    question three times about any extra costs. The day he was here to install
    my door and replace the chain on my garage door opener he noted there was an
    additional charge of $50 because the spring was a heavy-duty one. I noted
    that this was never mentioned and I didn���t ask for a heavy-duty spring.
    He noted that he did not give customers a choice they had to use this
    spring. So this was an extra cost not anticipated. However, Mr.
    Kamps read my review and reimbursed me for this amount.

    Mr. Kamps complained often about the lack of space in my two stall garage.
    I realize his main business is commercial doors that offer much more
    space to work but I did not feel complaining
    was professional. Items attached to wall cannot be removed
    for the convenience of the contractor. Because of this lack of space making
    it take longer to install the door, I helped him 95% of the time he was
    here even though I had items I needed to get done. But I wanted to make the job easier and go
    quicker for him. I helped him remove the old door and put the new one up. I
    also cleaned up the garage and helped him load his truck. He did not finish the job because he
    received a call from a commercial client and left to go and service this
    customer. So I had a new installed door but the opener was not
    fixed. It then took almost another 3 weeks for him to return to
    replace the chain. I also helped him replace the chain to cut down
    on the time her was here. I noted to him that while we were replacing the
    chain that I was fairly certain some of the wires were pulled loose during
    the process. I asked him to make sure everything was in working
    order before he left. He said it was and
    left. However, when I went out to use the button on the wall, it no
    longer worked, and the clicker only worked at very close range, which it had
    never done before. I contacted him asking him to return to fix these
    issues but I never heard from him. I had someone else look at the wires
    on the opener and it turns out the wires were barely connected because they had
    been pulled loose during his replacement of the chain. They just
    needed to be stripped and reattached correctly and everything worked
    again. It took less than 5 minutes to fix so the opener worked
    correctly. So while the products he uses are very nice and he is
    knowledgeable and personable, leaving the job unfinished to go to a commercial
    client, complaining about the lack of space, and not making sure the
    opener worked via all methods before he left were less than ideal situations. I
    also had to ask for a receipt several times. He noted that he does not
    usually provide receipts, which I found odd. While I would probably not
    use him again due to our conversation after he read my original review and
    communication issue, I would actually recommend him to others.
