    Norris Gutters
I reached out late on a Sunday, and by early Tuesday morning, I received a call from Rod. He was able to come out within that hour for a free inspection. He arrived in a timely manner and we scheduled a time for a full gutter replacement (one of the options he offered). He and his team were able to come out that week, which was awesome considering we only had that week to work with. They started working promptly, were super efficient, and Rod is great to work with. We just had a weekend full of rain and the basement, which we suspected was leaking due to the gutters, stayed dry! Would highly recommend.

The roofing crew came out,  removed the old roof, installed the new roof, replacing some board

s, and installed new vents, including one for our bathroom fan to be connected to, which hadn't been done when our bathroom had been remodeled. The work was completed the next day, and they left the dumpster for us to dispose of any things we had in our garage or house that we wanted to dispose of. The gutter crews came out a few days later when the weather was good, two crews as a matter of fact, and installed our new gutters, with guards, and a hinged downspout extension in the back yard I asked for. It went amazingly quick, looked great, and my wife approved, which is what counts. All in all a great professional job by people who know what they are doing. We had this company do work for us before on our garage, straightening a sagging roof, and installing a new roof. Terry Burke is honest to a fault, very knowledgeable, patient, cost competitive, and does not try to sell you anything not needed. He doesn't want he final payment until we are completely satisfied with the project done.

    Michigan's Handyman
I hired this company to clean my gutters and install leaf guards. Initial scheduling was easy however they were more than 2 hours late the first morning and having a day with high winds and having to reschedule is where the problem came into play. Dealing with rude workers saying they'll reschedule whenever instead of giving me a date which after talking to the owner and foreman was rescheduled for the next morning 10-noon (they didn't arrive until 3). That response was given after I turned down over priced additional work $300 to replace the wood on one side of the garage, I was told it was so expensive because it was so much wood. So I went to Home Depot and priced the lumber myself and it was $95 for both sides and about 2 hours of work from someone who is not in the construction business. I also had to clean the debris that were removed from my gutters and there is an extension off my downspout missing since the repair date that I was told maybe the wind blew away. Which in order to do so "the wind" would have to unscrew it. I do not recommend this company nor do I plan to hire them again.

Extremely hard to get a date for work to be performed. I was told it would be about a week before a proposal would even be drawn up for the work and then maybe around 2 weeks later it could be performed depending on workload at that time. Which in my opinion is a bit out of hand for a small job seems very cut and dried for the proposal and shouldn't take a week to sign.

    JK Home Improvement

I have a primarily brick bungalow style home in the downriver area. It has two vinyl sided cantilever sections, the front encasing a large 5-panel bow window. I recently selected four reputable companies to come out to give estimates. Of the four, I chose JK Home Improvement to replace all siding, trim, gutters and to do some custom trim work (a fan - it looks great). Andy was on time for the estimate and was incredibly helpful. I'm the type that asks a million questions. The actual job went smoothly and was done wonderfully, quickly and efficiently... and they did a great job with clean up. The entire crew was friendly and courteous. I like that the company is family owned and that their crew works directly for them. During the job, they discovered that all the wood under my bow window had rotted. They replaced it (and other smaller areas of rotting wood elsewhere) without complaint. One of my biggest concerns with the job in general was ensuring that the underside of my rear cantilever was adequately insulated and fixed up so that severe winds and cold couldn't get in there any longer as that is where my kitchen hot and cold water lines are, and I had problems with the lines freezing during last winter's severe cold and winds. Andy and the crew understood and respected my concerns and made great effort to ensure that the underside of this cantilever was thoroughly insulated and sealed up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thank you very much Jeff, Bill, Andy and your hard working crew. I will be recommending you to friends and family and will see you this spring to talk about new doors.

    LeafFilter Gutter Protection
I saw a LeafFilter display for a second year at a local summer festival. I asked their price, but was told I'd need to make an appointment. When the salesman came out to give his quotation, I was disappointed. The nicest word for him is and quot;jerkand quot;. He asked me questions about work I had recently had done and how much things had cost (none of which had anything to do with rain gutters). That, plus the fact that he offered no identification such as a business card or his full name, made me suspicious. He also kept wanting to go inside my house. The temperature was 69 degrees, and I wore a windbreaker, but he kept complaining of the heat and how much it made him sweat. He only quit whining when I pointed out the shade of a tree about five feet away.
When he got down to business, he insisted on reading a script to me, showing me charts and pictures from a binder. This was accompanied by a lot of rhetorical questions, like and quot; How much would you be willing to pay?and quot; and and quot; You have to agree, this sounds pretty good, right?and quot; I answered repeatedly that I wanted to know the price, not guess at one, and the product looked good, but I wanted to talk about the actual numbers. I really didn't want to have and quot;story timeand quot; with him; I can read to myself.
When he finally was ready to talk about numbers, he quoted me a price of almost five thousand dollars, and then proceeded to offer me and quot;incentivesand quot; to sign then and there. I don't like making hasty decisions and told him so. The price dropped three times until it was around twenty-five hundred dollars. I still said I wanted only to know the price, not to sign that day, so he whipped out his cell phone and pretended to wheedle his boss into giving me a yet lower price. (and quot;I normally don't do this, and quot; he told me twice.) I could have the work done for just under seventeen hundred, provided I signed immediately and took installation the next day. When I repeated that I had only wanted information, he became angry and said I must have known it would cost at least that much. He jabbed the invoice with his finger, saying and quot;It is what it isand quot; (whatever that was supposed to mean), and stalked off to his car. I tried to be polite, but he refused to speak, to say good-bye, or even to leave his original quotation (which was supposed to be good for a year from that date).
Frankly, if he really was from LeafFilter and not just some con man, they need a better approach. Giving me some price range at the start would have been good; having a professional representative would have been excellent.

    Lombardo Total Home Solutions LLC
Both gentlemen were very courteous, worked quickly and efficiently, and actually exceeded the three hours of work I was promised by a few minutes. I have no complaints, and am sure I will contact them again when I have jobs in the future. I like to do my own work, but I'm quite over the hill and need help with some things. It's good to know they are there. Based on this experience, I'd trust them to do anything they were contracted to do.

Hansons Window & Siding of Detroit
I had recently purchased a home which was in need of a lot of updates. My first call was to Hansons. They sent out a knowledgeable salesman who informed my husband and I what are options would be for our upcoming home improvement. The old vinyl siding on the home was made from an asbestos material so that was our major concern. When we learned that Hansons offers a triple layer of protection for vinyl siding we were hooked. They installed a layer of insulation, a layer of Hansons Wrap and a layer of maintenance free vinyl siding. We had also decided to have our gutters replaced since they would already be removing them in order to replace the siding. During the entire process there was a installation manager who frequently updated me on the progress of my job. The house looks beautiful! My neighbors are amazed, they can't believe how different it looks. It was like a facelift for my home, I couldn't be happier!
