Pet Care & Health reviews in Lansing

I gave MSU one star because I wasn't able to rate them any lower. I took my dog to emergency services when she was sick, but still very alert. When I returned after leaving her there for 14 hours she was comatose and barely able to breathe. I ran my dog to my personal vet who fixed her after having her for only 6 hours. MSU wasnt even able to give me a proper diagnosis and my vet, upon reviewing my dog's discharge papers, said that MSU ran a bunch of unnecessary tests which did nothing to help her. MSU even charged me $400 to deworm my dog when she's already on a monthly preventative. In short, I was charged $1,100 for MSU to do nothing but cause more harm to my dog. I would not have worried about spending the money had they been able to help my dog, but instead they only hurt her more. MSU has to be the worst experience I've ever had and I've had dogs my entire life. Definitely avoid going there at all costs! Ashley Van Fleet

Extremely unfortunate experience. really liked this place, its clean and the staff is friendly, but after recent events we feel that their knowledge is lacking and they get confused when they are presented with clients that are knowledgeable in their field. they have demonstrated a shoot by the hip kind of thought process and act before having the full knowledge of what they are doing. $600 dollars lost and i will need to spend $600 dollars again with another vet to repeat what they have messed up. Haslett area animal hospital was given the chance to make it right when shown they had been blatantly wrong and chose not too, now we need to deal with a credit card dispute. 3 coworkers thus far are disgusted at how our situation has been handled and will be choosing new vets, that is 7 animal patience lost so far. shame on you guys. If you as a consumer wants to spend the higher costs of a higher standard vet, go to Cedar creek veterinary clinic in Williamston. we opted to start going here due to the extra drive time that Williamston took and regret our decision to do so. I do not need a response, nor do i want one.

I have boarded my new rescue dog twice and was very impressed with the staff and the facilities. I had her groomed while she was staying there and they did an excellent job. Fees were very reasonable.

I've used them several times. If something serious is wrong with one of my pets I call the Tri-County Mobile Vet. They are much more professional and they know better what they are doing than any other veterinarian I have ever worked with. These two veterinarians are at the top of their field. They are very knowledgeable and professional. If I have a serious issue with my dogs; they would be the first to call. I would not call any other vet. They were immediately responsive. They knew the answers to the problems, and they also followed up with my other dogs. Excellent. They are absolutely the best veterinarian I have ever used. I have been raising dogs for over 20 years.

They do the nail trim every other month. The nail trim was $15. The total bill was about $100. Everything else is pretty expensive. Their price isn't any better or worse than anybody else. They treat all of our dogs for fleas. They do all of our regular check ups for our dogs. They're convenient and they're local. If something serious is wrong with one my pet I call another vet, a traveling vet and they are much more professional and they know what they are doing than any other veterinarian I've ever worked with. For just regular annual check up and annual vaccines and things like that I take them to Millers because they are close and their prices are reasonable. Its convenient, but I dont have them handle anything serious with my dogs.

They took care of my dog for 15 years and they are absolutely marvelous. She was 14 years and 4 months old and they had been keeping her alive for about 3 years, so I really can?t complain. We had her cremated, it broke my heart. She was my little baby.?They were just very, very good. The owner used to work there, she moved up and bought the practice when the owner died. He was a vet as well. She has a Yorkie and she was so sweet to my dog.

I really like miller animal clinic because you call to make an appointment and if it's something serious they can usually can get me in like if they have any cancellation the same day or the next day.

They understood they listen to his lungs and things and make us see that he was breathing kind of hard and so they gave him a shot and it worked almost immediately, I didn't had to take him back for that.

Very helpful with making suggestion to reduce costs. Seemed to know how to handle situation since first time my dogs had been boarded and one dog we had only had for less than a year. Also, had my dogs groomed when there. They realized the dogs need to be together when groomed. My dogs appeared to be well cared for when we picked them up.

They are under new ownership..I am disabled and only living on Social Security (SSI) and wouldn't have the money for another day I told them I could pay them then and  they said "NO".Not until I could pay BEFORE services were rendered.  I paid the office call of $45.00. I had to bring my sick cat home and she died the next morning because they wouldn't treat her.  They felt 'I would stiff' them, which I wouldn't have done.
They recently changed owners.  We had gone there for over 40 years, but the previous owner (Dr. Stuart Thrush) passed away and he would allow long-term clients to charge their bills if unable to pat right then. The new owner will NOT work with the clients!! He was a wonderful, knowledgeable vet and man.  New owners Jennifer Stuhler-Raphael, DVM and her husband (name unknown) (One of the vets) showed NO compassion for my pet nor I.
In an effort to be totally up front, I owed the previous owner money due to an extended hospital stay my dog had to have which ran my bill up to nearly $2,000.00.  I was unable to pay it as I didn't have a job at the time.  He knew that and still agreed to treat my dog who is now fine. I am making payments on it now as I can.  I would NEVER try to get out of paying a bill for my beloved pets that I owe!!!!!  I feel they killed my cat, ny refusing to treat her and allowing me to pay on the 1srt when I had the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I detest writing this negative review as that Animal Hospital was the only one I HAD known and trusted my entire adult life, but tthat was under previous ownership,, but no more. I will not frequent hem again under the recent circumstances.  The have a very good vet on staff and their groomer Erin is very good, too.

We have taken our dog to Mt. Hope Veterinary Hospital for about 3 years.  When we originally adopted our dog from the shelter, we took him over to get him checked out (which they do for free for shelter pets!), and have been there ever since.  The staff is great, they take the time to answer all my questions, and they are very patient with the dog, who is usually a nervous wreck when he gets there.  They're great people, and they clearly love pets.
