    Thee Electric Co
The owner of Thee Electric came to my house promptly and quoted the job. He said they had immediate availability (maybe that should have been a red flag?). He quoted $3,495. The original quote was to run the electrical tubing under the porch, but when I was unable to pull the boards up he said the tubing had to go through the porch, and that it wouldn't be very noticeable. Now there is a giant electrical tube going through my porch, and there's absolutely no reason they couldn't have gone underneath. In addition, they didn't bother to pop out the trim, so it sticks out 1/2" further than it needs to and the trim is now foreverly embedded. The 3"+ tube is a trip hazard and awkwardly jogs through the room. It appears that the workers mistook the location of the hole they drilled in my house, which pushes the tube across an entire corner of the porch so the space is unusable and ugly. Some of the workers that showed up (not the guy that quoted) were terribly rude to me and the HVAC guy. At one point, the worker that seemed to be in charge implied that the electric tube was no big deal because my house wasn't nice. I didn't know exactly what this job would entail, and the work was being done in November. I told the owner that I would be home the whole time with my 6 month old daughter and he didn't bother to tell me that I would be completely without power for 12 hours straight, and then intermittent interruptions throughout the second day. I had to throw out everything in my refrigerator. Of course I knew there would be power interruptions, but I thought that was the kind of thing a professional would warn people of, especially when there is a daytime high in the 30's and there is a baby in the house. It was so cold by evening, but I couldn't leave with people I didn't know in the house. I bundled the baby up in winter outdoor clothing. This wasn't emergency work, and I could have easily scheduled it for spring. The job took much longer than the owner anticipated, but there were no surprises or unexpected events. Rather, the work simply took longer than quoted even though some items were not completed that were on the original proposal. The changes from the original proposal were that 1) a plug for a microwave hood was not installed, 2) no new outlets were put in the basement, and 3) the strange giant electric tube went through the porch rather than under it. As a result, my final bill was $4,295 - a full $800 more than the proposal, despite the fact that many services and materials had been removed from the original proposal. At no time was informed that there would be higher charges for any reason. When I called the owner he explained that running the tube through the porch cost more, although he didn't tell me when we talked about it, nor did he provide an updated proposal. To add insult to injury, I was charged substantial interest because I took time to analyze the bill and I was told that I was supposed to have paid 1/2 the cost upfront. If money up front were required, why did they start the job? Or if he had just called me up and said they needed money to start I would have brought it to him. Instead I was charged 24% interest on the "overdue" amount. I was only able to get the bill back to the originally proposed amount by threatening legal action which is something I've never even considered doing even though I've hired countless contractors for many projects on my homes over the years. I regret having work done by this company, and I have a strange ugly tube to trip over and remind me of it on a daily basis.

This company was great! I called with a last minute request to fix my DIY wiring in the basement before an inspection. Brian was very responsive and provided great advice. I was very happy with the service, the work, and the price. I would definitely refer him to others and use them again.

    B & D ELECTRIC
We needed 3 220 amp sockets installed, so we could have large window air conditioners. Central air is not practical because we have steam heat. So far we have one unit operating which is working very well.

    HAGER-FOX ELECTRIC CO
When they came they discovered they did not have the right plug replacement - they were great and came back the next day with the new plug and the unit was able to be installed. We were leaving for vacation and needed to do laundry before leaving. They were so accommodating and responsive - we will definitely have them do any electrical work in the future.

    Sparky's Electric LLC
We got him because he had high grades. I got him because everybody gave him good marls and he earned all of them. He?s delightful. He is in the middle of doing several projects.?We just got a new Hybrid van from Chrysler and he?s installs the 240 for us.?It?s going to be about $5,000. My husband has Parkinson?s and we?ve lost electricity enough, one time it was for 2 weeks in the middle of the winter. We live in Michigan for crying out loud. You can?t go 2 weeks without. He can?t help me and I?m 67 and 4 feet 10, how much can I do??For the generator, installation, buying the generator, the electric panel gap, everything was $5,000.

    Carpentry Plus Building Inc
Brian and his team were fantastic to work with. Brian came out to give me an estimate in person and took the time to brainstorm different solutions with me to address some of my home's quirks. He priced each project individually so I could prioritize my wish list and fit me into their schedule sooner than I expected. My house is cinder block construction beneath its siding and the interior walls are plaster, which makes for messy work. But Brian and his team cleaned and packed everything up each night so I wasn't living in a construction zone. In addition to excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, they were great company. I work from home and truly enjoyed having them here all week. Carpentry Plus is a family owned small business, which is a variable I appreciate, and I would be happy to work with them again.

The work was preformed professionally, and at a reasonable cost. The company was efficient and clean in their work efforts. It was a pleasure doing business with Tom, and I would not hesitate to hire WireWork for my next electrical project.

    WireWorks Inc
After I learned that I needed to replace my circuit breaker box, I checked Angle's List and called WireWorks because of the positive reviews. Within a few days, Tom came to my house to do an estimate, and he impressed me as someone I could trust. Two days later, I received his estimate, and his price was fair, so I contracted his company to do the work. On the day of the job, Tom and his crew arrived on time, walked me through the process, and began work. Before leaving, one of the crew carefully labeled each breaker and checked each one individually to make sure all of them worked properly. From start to finish, Tom and his crew impressed me as knowledgeable, skilled, and polite. I recommend WireWorks and plan on hiring the company again for other electrical work.

Amazing! The electrician was on time, efficient, and very friendly. I always worry when I have to have something done around the house, because I have had bad experiences with other professionals before. I highly recommend Sparky's!! I will most definitely be calling them for future work.
