Zayne and his team did a fantastic job with our kitchen and 2.5 bath remodel. We hired Majestic Home Solutions to finish our project after the first company we hired failed to be competent. Zayne took our nightmare situation and turned it into a great experience. We received high quality craftsmanship and product. This five star company was professional, honest, reliable, competent, respectful, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend hiring Majestic Home Solutions!

    Atlas Home Improvement
They offered to perform only one aspect of the job, and not my highest priority one. I told them "no way, Jose" because I wanted a contractor to do it all. For nearly two months they have phoned me twice or three times every day -- but I have blocked their numbers. Very high pressure as evidenced by their constant phone calls. They apparently do not understand the meaning of "no". Given their relentless sales tactics I smell a scam. Stay away!

    Discount Marble & Granite Inc
DO NOT use this company. Extremely unethical and unprofessional. Picking out Granite and hiring a professional to install and cut it is key to an overall positive experience. You will not have a positive experience if you work with this company. You can simply walk in the front door and you will very quickly sense the unprofessionalism. My experience here was horrible. I do not understand how they stay in business but I would warn people to stay away or risk being extremely disappointed. I stopped in to purchase a remanent for a piece of granite. I spoke directly to the owners son and we agreed on a price and timing. This was on Saturday 4/22/17. I offered to pay for the granite in advance or to put a deposit on it. The owners son "Nick" told me that was not necessary and I could stop in next week and pay the balance and they would start on the piece for a 7-10 day turn around. He told me he would mark the granite I picked out and make sure nobody else purchased it. I made arrangements to have it installed and delivered (at my own cost). My fiance stopped in the following week on Weds to pay for it as discussed and we were told that they had SOLD our piece of granite. I was stunned so I called him (I was not there live) and told him I had trusted him to honor our deal and that I had offered to either pay the balance in full on Saturday or to make a deposit and he had clearly said that was not necessary. He did not apologize and basically told me I could pick something else out. I suggested that he do the right thing and order me another piece of the same granite I picked out. They can still order the pattern that I had picked out. He told me that option was too expensive for him and he would not do that. I told him I was stunned that they were so indifferent about what had happened because again, I trusted that he would hold up his end of the bargin and that I had offered to pay the balance in full the prior Saturday. Also, I think him ordering me a replacement was an acceptable solution becuase clearly they should have not sold the piece. I told him that it was NOT acceptable to treat a customer like this and I was very shocked. It is not easy picking out granite to match and I spent a great deal of time doing so and I trusted him to do the right thing. Unfortunately even though he could make this situation right - by ordering me the granite he refused to do so primarily becuase it would have cost him to fix the mistake. I think what actually happened is another customer offered to pay more for the remnant than I had selected and he took that deal. He blamed the front desk for the mistake, but honestly there are not that many people working there for that to have caused the error. I also suggested that since we had agreed on the deal first he should inform the second party that purchased the remnant I picked out that it was already sold. That would have also been a fair option, but he refused. I think the real issue here is that the granite I picked out was sold at a higher price. Extremely disappointing that a small business would treat customers like that. To cap it all off - I asked him how he intended to make this right with me as a customer becuase I was suprised that a small business would do this and I was very upset becuase I spent a lot of time and energy selecting my granite and he hung up the phone on my like a child! Amazing. Please don't use this company and cause yourself the grief that I have to deal with starting back at ground zero. As a side note - the lady who sits at the front desk was commenting in the background throughout the call very negatively and unprofessionally that this was somehow my fault becuase I di dnot pay in full on Saturday. She was not part of the discussions on Saturday and also I did offer to pay in full or make a deposit and I was told that was not necessary that he "trusted us" which led me to trust him. In addition, she was agruing with another guest in the parking lot and swearing around Children. I mentioned this to Nick and told him I thought that was unprofessional and again, I got an aloof lack of concern. My recommendation is to not use Discount Granit and Marble for any of your granite or marble needs. They are unethical and unprofessional. I thought this was going to be a good economical experience, but unfortunately it turned out to be a nightmare and now I am back to square one. Extremely disappointing all the way around.

    Moore Home Renovations
Wonderfully - as with any 88 year old house, there will be surprises. The crew handled them well and within budget. Of the 4 designers we interviewed, Sandy was the one whom listened. She saw our vision to honor the history of the house yet bring it into the 21st century!

    Grosse Pointe Stone Works
No problems with Gross Pointe Stone Works. They showed up when they said they would and did beautiful work. They put in a solid days work and clean up after themselves. Nick is very meticulous and knows what he is doing. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Matthew was great to work with. He stayed in touch with us daily, sent photos of progress since we were at work. He was very patient when I would "rethink" my options. It took me quite awhile to select a curb and threshold but he was very patient and never pressed me for a decision. His price was good and we were satisfied with the work. He started when he said he would and was very responsive when we contacted him on punch list items. The shower door glass installers were very complementary of his work when they came to install the door. I will hire him again for my next project.

Kurtis Kitchen & Bath - Clarkston

Very easy to work with, excellent pricing and customer service!

Adrian Aninos at the Clarkston branch has been wonderful - answering all of our last minute questions and providing much needed advice.     Have had other quotes and Kurtis came in well under any prices we had been given.

We will certainly be going with Kurtis again in the future when we remodel our bathrooms.

Kurtis Kitchen & Bath - Clarkston
We found the design process to be very enjoyable.  Our designer, Adrian, helped steer us through the details successfully, and had a number of suggestions that we incorporated into the design. We also found the project management team to be extremely professional and courteous.  When we ran in to an issue with shower tile delivery, communication with us about schedule impact and what to expect was exceptional. The same can be said for the installation team members that came to the house for each portion of the project. This was a fairly small project, so we had a number of installation folks in the house over the duration of just a few weeks.  Each one was prompt, courteous, and professional.
We are very pleased with our finished project, and would not hesitate to recommend Kurtis' services to anyone looking for a quality remodel.

MoreWe chose this company (even though their quote was higher than others) because of their sales pitch about how customer are their top priority, how they custom make the parts just for your bath, You don't pay until your 100% satisfied, they don't use contractors.......Well none of that is true. We didn't get what we were sold, they cut the parts in the street in front of our house, The man who did the installation was a contractor. When they found out we were unhappy with the job and didn't want to pay yet, their first reaction was they were going to sue us, put a lien on our home, ruin our credit. Never once did they try to work things out with us. DO NOT use this company!

We were very disappointed with the overall process.  We interviewed several companies and while Acorn was not the low price choice; they were the highest, we went with them because the quality of materials available, design support, and the one stop shopping seemed to be the best fit for us.  Much time and effort was put into the design, but it was still incomplete, we ended
up with lots of smaller storage spaces than before, and almost every door bangs into something.  The back splash tile for example, design was completed with the tile subcontractor during the installation, which upset the subcontractor greatly, and he was angry at us, not Acorn.
Every detail, which during planning process we were told would be ok, turned out to be an issue.  Hire a lawyer and do not leave the smallest detail, no matter how obvious, out of the contract!  And every issue was between us and the subcontractors.   Acorn, and Tony the project manager specifically, did not support us, but explained why every miss communication was our fault.  It did not matter if material was miss-ordered, on back order, if they broke their own guidelines, or when our contract with Acorn detailed more work than what Acorn?s contracts with their subcontractor called for, it was always our fault.  We had to take the heat from the subcontractors on every miscommunication between Acorn and their subcontractors.   The Décora cabinets are beautiful and the granite work is top notch, but the process was horrible.  Poor communication is Acorn's hallmark.  They left the job 90% done 5 months into what was quoted to take 3 weeks.
    The process was a nightmare!
