    Superior Woodworking & General Contracting
Fantastic! Scott worked amazingly hard to get the many jobs done in a short amount of time. This did not affect the quality of his work either. He definitely prides himself on his workmanship, which is why we has been our contractor for all our four restaurants!

    ED JELINEK CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY
He is sometimes a little hard to get ahold of but don't let that discourage you.  He will get back to you.  He was worth the wait.  I would use him again and recommend him to my friends.

    GARDNER WHITE FURNITURE CO
We purchased a Sofa from Gardner White about two years ago. After reorganizing the house, we decided the time was right to replace our older furniture and buy the matching Loveseat and Chair to complete the set. We had some guests coming, so a quick delivery was fairly important to us. We went to the new store in Auburn Hills (Great Lakes) on the Sunday - it's slightly less than 4 miles from our house.
Had no problem finding the same furniture set. Picked out the Loveseat, Chair and Ottoman. With the protection plans (about $200) and delivery ($90) it came to $1709.93 with GW picking up the sales-tax. All set, we were hoping for a Tuesday delivery, although we understood that Wednesday was more likely because they didn't have it in stock that day, but had it coming in. Paid in full, walked out of the store feeling happy, looking forward to our new furniture.
Monday afternoon, the salesman rings, the furniture is not going to be available Tuesday. Looking like Wednesday is the day. Obviously we are a little disappointed, but we were prepared for this eventuality, and accepted the new schedule.
Tuesday afternoon, another call. The furniture wont be available for delivery until Thursday (I forget the reason this time, I want to say a full delivery schedule, but honestly, I was too annoyed to remember, and I had guests in the house without anywhere to sit...).
Thursday morning, a call at 10:30 lets me know my furniture will be delivered between 5pm and 7pm. Having already taken Tuesday and Wednesday off to be available for the delivery, finding out halfway through the morning that another whole day is going to be lost was additionally annoying. But the furniture is on the truck, and will be here today - life is good.
6:36pm. The phone rings. The truck is broken down in Lapeer (20miles away) and delivery won't be possible. Would Friday or Saturday be ok ? Obviously I am now incensed. I ask to speak with a manager, who after failing to convince me that there really was a truck, and that it had broken down so far from home, or how it would have ever got to us before 7pm even if it hadn't broken down...I was offered a refund of my delivery charge.
Frankly, at this point, the delivery charge being refunded would have been a good start - $90 charge for something you have failed to deliver 3 times already seems excessive...but doesn't really 'make me whole'. I've taken 2 days off work to accomodate this delivery...costing me way more than $90. After talking with a manager who seemed more interested in getting off the phone and off home than actually making me happy, I asked for a refund of my entire purchase, and cancellation of the order.
Friday, 1:00pm, I get a call from the sales guy, asking me what has happened, I again reiterate my frustrations, and again ask for my money back. I'm told they'll get the refund sorted out.
Friday 3:35pm, I get a call from the back office, asking for my credit card details so they can refund my money.
Tuesday, 11:30am, a call to the Credit Card company confirms that no refund has been processed yet...I guess their financial system must have broken down on the same truck...didn't take them this long to TAKE the money...
Frankly, this seems to be typical behavior for these big-box companies. They have your money, it's a hassle to get it back. The 'sale pricing' is close to fraudulent (I found the exact same Loveseat for sale without any markdown for $4 more than the 'sale' price at GW..with FREE shipping).
Save your money, save your blood pressure, go deal with some of the smaller, independent stores. You may pay a little more, but you'll get what you ordered, the store will stand behind it, and you'll probably end up with a better quality product in the long run.
I will NEVER do business with Gardner White again.

Customer service was very good. I had some questions about how to order the pads. My questions were answered and the pads came faster than expected. Good quality and they fit and look nice.

Kerry came over to my house. Looked at the platform rocker, quoted me a price. He took the cushion to his store and brought it back within a week.
