It was awful and here is why. I specifically went to their office to block out dates in summer 2018. A crew showed up on the first block out date. They showed up with the incorrect equipment too. After an hour or so on that day (they asked and my husband agreed that they could work that day only during the block out dates), the crew said to me that they have to return with the correct equipment. They did so after the block out dates. The removal of the trees was such that we have three large roots ( 5" X 3') sticking out of the lawn. The lawn was not smoothed out, the undulations in the lawn make it such that you could twist your ankle in some spots. We have several palm sized rocks that are embedded in the lawn. The worker who put down the grass seed literally striped the lawn. The seed was never mixed. We literally have the lawn striped with blue grass along the perimeter and down the middle. The grading is such that we have sink holes (My husband, the S & T representative, the crew chief and myself discussed the grading to the NE corner. They graded it to the SE corner.). The crew took out one of our property stakes. My husband sent them the survey to see where to replace it. They haven't come to replace it. A representative finally finally came this summer to look at the issues. They left us several flags to mark the roots and rocks they have to dig out. We haven't done this yet as it's high season not to reseed. The communication from the company was terrible and here is why. There was minimal dialogue. For example, on the day they were to seed it occurred to me that I was never told what mix they were to use or if I even had a choice. I texted the contact person. His response was to list two choices and that I had to make it very quickly as my crew was currently loading the seed.

Darek Roman & Sons Tree Service
Darek responded to my inquiry very quickly, came out and gave me a price which I thought was reasonable and accepted. Darek and his crew were there the very next afternoon. They removed the three bushes and large pile of tree branches in very quick fashion. There wasn't much to clean up but it was done very well. I would use Darek and his crew again. Very professional.

    Professional Horticulture Services
I reached out to Tom from Professional Horticultural Services for a bid in April. His was somewhat expensive but fairly reasonable given the size of the gardens and number of perennials. He showed up on time for the estimate, e-mailed a detailed one shortly thereafter complete with two money saving ideas (e.g., using old bordering materials). Tom told me hed return with a couple of workers in May to do the work and he stayed in touch to schedule an appointment with the city to check on gas and water pipes in the ground. Next step -- Tom called first thing this morning and was here at noon with a two-man crew, as promised. They were meticulous and courteous. Before laying the final mulch, they had me check on the project. This proved helpful because one area seemed a bit thin. Thus, they moved one hosta from another area of my yard to fill that void. Professional Horticultural Services provided attention to detail, with quality plants. Tom has a terrific eye. He put down three smaller yellowish plants in one area and when the project was complete they popped. The two guys on the crew Kenny and Aldo executed Toms plan and then cleaned up after. They worked hard. You would never had known that I had a small crew of gardeners in and out this afternoon with a large truck, a dozen plants and a boat load of mulch. My yard is beautiful thanks to them!

    Kalamazoo Tree Service
This job was done on two sites. The first site involved the removal of a large, 2-trunk oak tree that grew through a hole cut in our deck, and was done in Fall, 2018. This was a tight job, and was turned down by other tree services who couldn't get their equipment to the site. James with Kalamazoo Tree Service did the job by climbing the tree and removing branches and sections individually. All debris was removed, and the stump was cut down sufficiently far to allow for supports to replace decking over the stump. The crew showed up on time and did a great job cutting the sections to the size that could be hauled away and leaving the job site neat and clean. There was an incident where my neighbor's deck was damaged during the removal, and James was there the next day to completely repair the damage to my neighbor's satisfaction. This was excellent customer service and shows that this company takes responsibility for its work and actions. The bill for this major tree removal job (which took 2 days) was $3400. The second job was done in a half-day, and involved removing two cherry trees and pruning several oak trees. It was done in February, 2019. The crew was on time again, and got the job done quickly. There were several times when James would stop to ask me about the degree of pruning to be done on a particular tree, to make sure that the job was acceptable to me. Clean-up was thorough (even on the snow), and all debris was hauled away. The bill for this job was $900. It was a pleasure to hire Kalamazoo Tree Service for these jobs. Their price was competitive; even less than other quotes I had received. James did not commit to a service date until he was sure he could do the job on that date; this meant that weather could have made a difference up to the proposed date of service. I appreciate his forthrightness in setting expectations for the service date. He also would not prune our oak trees until winter had really set in, to ensure that no insect-borne diseases could infect the trees following pruning. The attention to detail and the quality of work are the main reasons that I would hire Kalamazoo Tree Service again.

    DJ's professional tree service
Initially everything was great. Prompt & area was cleaned up. However, when they ground my stump they cut my sprinkler system line & will not cover the repair. So - stating they are fully insured, evidently, does not mean liability insurance. Per the owner the "fully bonded & insured" covers workmans comp & personal injury.

    Dixon Lawn Care
Purchased a home and the gutter drainage pipe in the yard was overgrown plugged up and very difficult to locate. This is an issue because rain water will collect around the foundation of the house if the drain is not located and unplugged. Dixon lawn care were rockstars and the work they did exceeded my expectations.

    Kalamazoo Tree Service
The process went very well. The owner and crew were very professional. The clean-up of tree trunk and branches was done as agreed. We did not include cleaning of stump grinding material as part of the agreement.

Joe called back and set up a date to come out for an estimate, but did not show up and did not call after that. I called to ask about the missed appointment, and left a phone message, but received no response.
