    Rite Aid Pharmacy - Portage
My wife has 22 different medications they get everything right all the time we do refills. They get them to us generally the same day we called the refills in. You can put the refills in by phone or by computer and they just deal with it. They are wonderful people to deal with, the pharmacist tech and the pharmacist. We been there for years and I they know their customers by name. We have been using them for 10 years and I will never change.

    Bronson Methodist Hospital
Our experience there has been very very good. We prefer that hospital over any other in the area. They did an incredible job. They sent me on to a medical care here in the community. There was a physical therapist who ended up having to come to our house to work with me. They were incredible.

A very scary experience was made much better by a helpful, kind and knowledgable staff. They clearly explained all the risks and made me feel as prepared as they could. The doctors and nurses who cared for me during my stay were amazing and incredibly helpful and understanding. I can't say enough good things about them.

I saw a nurse practitioner and they got me in as soon as I called. They listened to what I said and they gave me a referral right away when I asked for one. They're respectful and they're really trying to help me.

The doctor I worked with (Rebecca Kundan) was phenomenal. She made the transition to a new OBGYN smooth and comfortable. My appointment was on-time, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I also experienced a pregnancy and miscarriage while working with Becca. She was diligent to keep me informed of what was going on with my test results, and explaining how and why my miscarriage happened. My only gripe is now that I'm pregnant again, she doesn't deliver babies! Highly recommended!

I don't why I went here. Webmd would have been more helpfull. Waited three hours and an extra 45 minute wait for the doc in the exam room. The doc not only did not look at the answers I have on my paperwork (and had given to the MA) but didn't listen to my own answers when he asked me questions. The check in staff, while nice told me they were sick too. Nothing like sharing illness to patients!

Mike Hogan and his staff are friendly, professional, and courteous.  They are an independent agency.  I use them for all my insurance needs and trust them to do the research to find the best coverage at the best price.  I would recommend the Hogan Agency to anyone.

we switched to this insurance when my husbands work insurance became too expensive. Our deductible is very high and they do not cover ANYTHING! It is only there for a severe accident. We pretty much pay cash for everything else.

The wait in the waiting room was approximately 30 minutes with about 5 people ahead of me on a Saturday afternoon. I didn't want to wait until Monday for my pain, but it wasn't severe enough to require the ER. The wait was about what I expected, and was acceptable for my non-emergency in my situation. When I was called back, I had an older male doctor. I was concerned that I had kidney stones or a bladder/kidney infection, so I had to give a urine sample. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The doctor listened to my symptoms and explanation of how I felt, and discussed each of the possibilities with me. Without doing a scan/x-ray (which was unavailable because of the weekend), he couldn't verify that it was kidney stones, but was sure that was my problem based on how I felt. He gave me strainers and pain medication as well as muscle relaxers to help the process, though I didn't end up needing them. I appreciated his time with me and thorough explanation of each of the possibilities I had wondered about, which was better than guessing at how much I matched medical conditions based on google searches.

We've been with this company through our employer while still working and now for the supplementary plan when we went on medicare. Because our former employer works out an arrangement with them, we are covered for medical providers "not in the system." But this costs somewhat more. There seems to be a competition going on between insurance providers (and especially big ones like this) and medical providers as to who gets what and we basically watch from the sidelines.
Also the mailings and communications we receive are so generic and vague that they are not worth much. They seem to be "feel good" promotions with smiling, happy people.
The claim payment experience is slow (but gradually improving) and the documentation is difficult to decipher.
I don't like to be critical since this is the analysis I hear and read about health insurance in general so this is industry-wide. But Blue Cross is so large that their distance from their clients is quite noticeable. This might improve as electronic transactions become more efficient online.
