Tree Service reviews in Jenison

    Timber Ridge Tree Service
Worst company ever. I have dealt with many companies, but from the top to the bottom (Owner), over all was the worst service and extremely unprofessional especially the sales representative who forgot to mention many thins that were and were not covered (Like cracked driveway concrete from Crane Truck, not covered). Clean up was a nightmare, as it was done way under par and remains that way. The tree removal crew, were top notch, it went down hill from there. The saleman rep, (Tyler), was extremely rude and unprofessional while trying to collect their money, (which was pending through the insurance company). They sent clean up crews several times and it still remained a total mess. I contacted the owner, who told me, speak to your sales rep. I won't even get into the stump remover man who asked me if I had "A honey", to remove my fence, because he didn't get paid to do it. Later I was advised they would remove the fence and replace it back to code. NOPE, oh, they put it back together, but never tied the top to the pole, so it was not up to code as promised. After I refused to pay, until this work was completed, I was threatened with a LEIN on the home. This is laughable, as the insurance company had not sent a check yet, which I explained 3 times in 3 different phone conversations to their Accounts Dept. My sales rep called and actually started raising his voice to me because they had not recieved their money, (Perhaps because he is paid on commission? ). I would recommend searching around Grand Rapids for a more reputable tree removal company. There are many reputable tree removal services in Grand Rapids and surrounding counties. Unfortuantely I was in a hurry as the tree landed in my pool and didn't want more extensive damage to the pool. But please, look around, check the Better Business Bureauand reviews. You don't want to go through this mess. Final cost, $6,250.00 For one tree removed via crane, a fence not up to CODE, one stump shredded down and one **** of a mess left behind. See photos below.

    Heartwood Tree Care
Everything went great! The work was professional and looks great. I requested they leave the wood from the large tree they cut down, and they neatly stacked it in the back yard. I was very happy with their service, and I will hire them again in the future for more work. I've already referred them to my friends & family.

The crew (5 to 6 men), accompanied by the man who gave the estimate, arrived as promised; bringing a crane, bucket truck, chipper + box truck, flatbed truck with plywood and room for log removal, a Bobcat, and a stump grinder. I'd been asked to get the neighbor's permission to access the tree from her yard. It had been granted, but the workers only used a little of the road easement to park a truck. Only the crane truck and bucket truck were parked on my lawn. The other vehicles remained along the roadside. Obstacles to avoid: much of the canopy hung over the garage and a power line running diagonally across our driveway.
Workers took a few minutes setting up and assessing how to down the tree, then got right to work. (The estimator left at this time.) They worked efficiently and steadily. Total time, from arrival to departure, was under 3 hours. Since we had someone who wanted the wood, we were left with manageable-sized pieces of the trunk and some limbs in a nice pile. The stump was ground down very well, including the raised root area surrounding the actual stump. Extra material from this was removed. The crew swept/blew and removed the debris from the wood chipper site in the road as well as from my driveway and lawn. We couldn't be more pleased with the work.
"Responsiveness" was given a "B" rating only because it was a couple of days between my initial contact with the office and when the estimator first contacted me. However, once we talked and I tried phoning him a couple of times, he was excellent about getting back with me very promptly. Since his crew was going to be in my area the day after initial contact with him, we were able to get this job done a day after being given the quote.

I was a little confused about when he was going to do things. He told me one thing and then did it at another time and he came at an inconvenient time. But, other than that, the service was good. The production was also good, it was just the timing that was a problem. If you don't want heavy equipment all over your lawn, he's the guy for you. He does it without heavy duty equipment.

The work I had done was a team effort by Everett's. The project was well organized by Jaycen and Jay. They are definately a hard working group! I would rate them with a surperior rating if it were available. You will not be disappointed if you use them for any project you need done.

These guys were HIGHLY recommended by my landscaper neighbor. I had to leave a message but they did get back to me. The estimate was WAY better than other estimates I received. The crew showed up on time, went right to work, and did a superior job. They were very respectful of the property. I will recommend them to anyone. My sister is having them remove a tree for her soon.

    The Tree Climber
The price was fine for the job they performed. I thought that the price was reasonable. I hired him specifically because he had the equipment. They knocked down all the trees and told me that it would take about a month for him to come back and ground the stumps. He said that he would call me before he came. It took him a month later to come back, but he didn't call me before he came. It was bothersome because it was on a Sunday and my wife and I were going to the beach. So we had to wait till he got done with then stumps. He didn't follow through on that part and it was troublesome. But he got it done.
