Landscaping reviews in Jackson

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • It was a great experience! Ryley and his assistant were on site at the arranged time and did the work efficiently (despite the rain!). Very pleased with the results and will definitely hire them again!

  • They were punctual, but communications with team leader were confused, for lack of better word. Husband asked for logs to be stacked behind garage, but all was left in a very messy, unstable pile which was very difficult for us to navigate and move by ourselves. When the team finished the job, they just left and did not make any further contact with us to let us know the job was finished or anything. (Also, the 2 males of the team left the 3rd female team member to work alone for about an hour during lunch period before the work was completed after their return. She was unaware that they had even left.) We were also disappointed with all the sawdust that covered so much of our property and felt it wasn't cleaned up as well as it should have been. Had we known what the results would be, we might have taken precautions and covered and/or moved some of our property and plants. Maybe we were somewhat naïve about the work and our request regarding the stacking, but the team leader should have explained this to my husband, which he did not. We were surprised and happy to receive a discount on the bill because they didn't need to haul the wood away, however. The reason we would hire again is that their price was much below another estimate we had received, so we still feel we got a great deal on the work! (Our achy bodies would disagree after the days of work we did to clean up the mess that was left though!)

  • They could not tear up the lawn. They have big machines and they go fast and sometimes he shaves the grass off. They arent as careful as they should be.

    They come automatically every Wednesday.

  • We have had TruGreen for 8 years too long, and this will be our last. For the last 3 years our lawn has progressively gotten worse. This year we have been inundated with weeds. Mid-year we caught them using a rider and no longer walking our lawn. We were told our lawn was too big and it would now be extra. They go so fast on the rider the lawn isn't getting enough of the application or too much (they've had to come out several times in between because of the weeds). Some parts of our lawn are now dead (we've been told it could be heat stress to different kinds of grass). I would agree that there is different grass, but it hasn't been an issue in the past, and we water our lawn as we have in the past. During one of their visits, we caught them turning off the sprayer (Broadleaf Weed Control). When asked, we were told they are trying to go greener. Well so am I...I'd like green grass, NOT WEEDS and dead patches, which is what we pay for. He said if there are no weeds he turns it off and then turns it on again. He's going so fast, how can he possibly see it that well? Btw, if you look at your receipt, under BROADLEAF WEED CONTROL, Areas: "Where Needed" might be listed (it was listed that way on all of ours except the first treatment). To me that says they are not applying it to your lawn. It's hit or miss on your weeds, especially on a tractor going at its highest speed. We follow their instructions and wait the 24 hours for watering. We water and cut our lawn properly. It has just been a the last few years. It's either the mix or the application. They almost killed our lawn a couple years ago, and we gave them another chance. That was our mistake and now we are paying for it. My assessment is that by killing your lawn, and they are allowing crab grass (or other grass like weeds) and other invasive weeds like creeping charlie to invade our lawns. This opens the door for them to sell more treatments to you. We use to have a grass we could walk barefoot in on our front lawn. It is now course, and we have this weed like grass that has taken over. We now have creeping charlie. We will not be using TruGreen, nor do I recommend them to anyone.

  • They were very quick to return my initial phone call to see about getting our yard cut. Showed up on time to discuss our lawn care needs. Very friendly and easy to work with, I would absolutely recommend them.

  • In the last 5 months there has been a marked change in my lawn. Not only is it really starting to look good, but I can see how Casey and his team have restored areas of grass that had really been nothing but weeds before he started.
Everything that Casey promised when he came out for an estimate is coming true. We knew it would be a long-term project, but to see results and deal with an honest vendor has really made this a very good experience. Also, I worry about lawn chemicals and their effect on domestic pets, especially dogs. Casey uses chemicals that are as safe as possible for my pets.

  • They didn't do a very good job for me, I had to cut them off. They left it in such shatters, I didn't pay for everything, just what they did. They did some yardwork, dug up some grass and took out some grass and planted new grass seed and put a border, edging around the yard.
They just didn't pay attention to what they were doing. They sent someone out to do the job and the workers were not doing a good job and they weren't paying any attention to it. I'm not mean, I'm just strict. The cost was correct if the service was done right.

  • They arrived on time all three days. Most of the work was completed in two days as promised. They were unable to complete a full cleanup on the second day, and they needed to return another day to clean up what was left and haul that away. They also made sure that everything was to our satisfaction.

  • They have done a great job. They give a significant discount if you pay for all 4 treatments at the first of the year. They always leave a sign to let you know that they have been there to treat the lawn.
