    Action Awning
Initial meeting provided us with options and pricing. Contract signed. Installation done efficiently and according to their schedule. Although price is higher than others, which they acknowledge, product it excellent and service and installation was great.

    Metrofence
This was the second time we used Metrofence to install a fence for us. Our first time was a very small project ($500) in 2013 and it seemed like we couldn't get anyone interested in coming out to even give us an estimate on such a small project. I contacted at least a dozen local fence installers, and only one of them (besides Metrofence) even came out to provide an estimate. West Michigan Fence Consultants was the only other company that came out to take measurements and committed to provide an estimate the following day. Three days later, we hadn't received a call back. I left two voicemails for the salesman we'd been working with, but they never were returned.
Ivan from Metrofence came out happily and did an excellent job. I was so happy with how well he treated us that when we bought a new house and needed a much bigger fence installation performed, Metrofence was the only place I called. He's very busy and we had some weather and supply delays, but he kept us fully informed at every step along the way. The installation went great, and we have received a surprising number of compliments on the fence. We could not be happier with Metrofence.

    Hain Property Services
Josh was very thorough and accommodating in giving us an estimate on the job. The technician who did the work was great. He worked all day and was very thorough in all of the work, asking for our input as needed. Our house looks wonderful and we would definitely use Hain again in the future.

    Boonstra Masonry & Repair

They were prompt with the estimate and were able to schedule the repairs within our limited timelines. They weren't the lowest bid, but were inline with other bids we received.

The original brick was 30 years old and no longer manufactured. They matched the existing brick as well as they could, offering three different options.

They were neat as they worked and cleaned up nicely.

    Metrofence
In June I contacted Ivan by email after reading excellent reviews on Angie's List. He replied within 24 hours and came out to discuss the job and take measurements a few days later. I wanted a section of my large back yard fenced in for my adopted greyhound who requires a fenced area or walks twice a day. Quote arrived via email two days later. Ivan was upfront that he already had a significant job load and at best could not get to this job for several weeks. I emailed a couple more times with question and Ivan was very prompt in answering me. Ivan (and Toby) put all the fence posts in right before Labor Day weekend and finish the fence the following week. They took great care when digging holes and filling them back in. They cleaned everything up. The work is excellent and the fence looks greyt! My boy, Crazyyammer loves his area and it looks very nice. Ivan and Toby were very professional and polite. Easy to work with.

    Metrofence

This is the second time I have used Ivan and Metrofence and this experience was as good as the last. Ivan is very prompt on getting you quotes, he is fair with price and he communicates very well regarding his schedule and when your work will be done. My job was difficult due to the moving schedule of a newly built home and needing the fence in the heart of the summer and his busy time.

Ivan communicated when product was ordered, called me to let me know when it came in and when he expected to start. He kept me in the loop as he had issues with Miss Dig that were limiting his progress. My yard was all clay and not fun to work in, but Ivan did a wonderful job with the conditions and the fence looks wonderful. He is very tidy and he cleans his jobsite up wonderfully. He asked where I wanted the dirt from the fence posts and he put it where I asked. Other fence companies I have worked with leave the piles of dirt right where they dig the post and leave the mess for the homeowner, not Ivan.

I would recommend Metrofence to anyone needed a fence and actually have recommended him to many others.

    Metrofence

I found Ivan and Metro Fence on Angie's List after never hearing of that company before. The reviews were great on him and the company, so I gave a call. He got out as quick as he could (I called in June right during his busiest time) to give me an estimate. His estimate was the lowest of the 3 I got. He was very upfront about his schedule and that I was about 6 weeks out before he could get to me. He kept that schedule, communicated wonderfully about when he would be there, what he would do and how long it would take him. He followed through on them all. He also asked where we wanted the dirt he dug up to place poles and he put it right where I asked him to. His work was so neat, you could barely see where he had dug holes in the yard to place poles. The fence looks great and is of good quality. I would recommend Ivan to anyone and actually have. I just built a new house and am going to fence in a very large portion of the property for my dogs and plan to use Ivan and Metro fence again. I am not even going to call anyone else!!!

    Home Maintenance Service
Mr. Meyer replaced some exterior trim on the house which had rotted due to an overflowing gutter.  He search the lumber yards to find matching trim, then caulked and painted the new trim to match.  Poor weather did cause some delays, however, he stayed in contact until such time as the weather allowed him to work.  He was very neat, polite and showed great detail in his work.  I was pleased with his professionalism and quality!

    Robert's Painting & Decorating
He was meticulous.  He removed paint left by previous painters.  There was a place that was still damp when a sliding door was opened and ended up sticking. He came back and touched that up at no charge.  He provided advice on what would work best and did an all around good job.

    All Seasons Home Improvement
Our contract was signed on 4/19/2010 with All-Seasons Home Improvement (dba All-Seasons Pioneer) for the purchase/installation of new windows (13), new vinyl siding, soffit, fascia, gutters, (2)entry doors and (1)screen door. Sales Rep was Owner Joe Kooienga. Joe's first sales call to do estimate was on 4/12/10. He showed up late and unprepared. He asked if he could come back a couple days later and I said yes. I spoke with a couple other companies that day and decided I did not want to go with All Seasons since he came unprepared. I called on 4/16/10 to cancel, we decided on another company. Joe called and spoke to my husband on 4/17/10 saying how he wanted to do the work and wanted to use our home as a "Showcase Home" due to the high traffic area we are in and by being his "Showcase Home" he will discount the prices to accommodate us. We agreed to give him another chance. Joe returned 4/19/10 to go over products/pricing/services offered. After spending 3 hours with Joe and hearing his promises of quality, craftsmanship, that the project will go smoothly without interruption (ex: weather) and the promise that more than one crew will be on the job to streamline it and his stressing that we are a "Showcase Home" which drives him to want the job done quickly with quality work and products to boost his future sales; we decided to sign with his company. Project began 5/11/10 and was completed 5/28/10. During the project it was obvious that Joe made promises he could not keep. He did not communicate to his teams; he did not order the correct doors or door handles/locks that we were expecting. The main front door was not the "special order" door with stain glass window I picked out during order day nor was the front screen door the proper one (both were picked out from brochures Joe had with him the day the order/contract was written). I rejected both that the install guy originally brought (which were purchased at the local hardware store, not the "special order" ones expected/paid for). Also, project commenced with only two guys working, Joe's brother and Joe's son that was in training. During day 3 it was clear the project was not going to go as smoothly and quickly as Joe promised during his sales pitch. I called the office and told Joe's sister Wanda (office manager) that I want Joe at our home the next morning to discuss a few issues. Joe showed up the next morning and we discussed the door issues, the timing/lack of crew issues, and the issue of how the two guys that are there take several breaks and take off after only being there for an hour and don't return for long periods. I reminded Joe of his promises during the sale and the issues with the doors/locks. Joe denied remembering the crew promise and acted like he was disgusted with his brother for his lack of work. He said he will however get more men here (as if it was a favor he was doing us). We decided to stay with the front door which ended up being the one purchased at a local hardware store (yet my price was not adjusted). We ended up going thru three different screen doors until also settling on one like we originally had. The new front door has not/does not fit properly and has a gap at the bottom even after 4 attempts to fix. The locks were the wrong color and it took 5 weeks for them to get back to change them out. 7/1 Joe's dad came to do them after a call I made voicing my anger at them. As he arrived I also showed him an area where the siding meets the roof of our garage and a gap that is there. I also asked if the locks were all keyed the same as the previous ones and he said yes. I found out at 8:45pm as I tried the keys that NO, all 4 (2 garage door, 2 front door) have separate keys. The front door still has a gap. He left here at 1pm and said he would be back; he needed new weather strip to fix it. He never returned or called. Between 7/2 and 8/2 I left several messages for Joe and Wanda wanting info on when they will be here to get things done but no one returned my calls. On 8/3/10 I walked into the office and Joe happened to be there. After some small talk we finally got down to the issues at hand. I told Joe I want this all taken care of now and how upset we are at there lack of communication. Joe made several excuses about being too busy and spread too thin and other customers keeping his guys longer on jobs. He said he will stop at the house the next morning to go over everything. Joe came to the home the following morning, 8/4 and did a walk around the home to go over all issues. He stated he will have his brother Greg over the following day to take care of the siding issues and Mark the following week to take care of the door and window issues. From 8/5-8/9 no one from All-Seasons showed up or called. I then called the office the afternoon of 8/9 and told Wanda we are tired of playing games and to tell Joe we want this taken care of now. On 8/10 Greg showed up at the house and took care of the siding issues and told me Mark would be here by the end of the week for the doors and windows. To this day, 8/19/10, he has not shown up. Today, 8/19/10 we received a certified letter in the mail from Alloy Gutter Co. It stated that after several attempts to get All-Seasons to pay them they have not received payment for services to our home of the install of new gutters on 5/26/10 therefore they have cancelled all warranty and as of 8/20/10 will be putting a lien on our property (the gutters were included in our contract with All-Seasons and we paid for them to All-Seasons in full). We knew nothing of this! I drove to the All-Seasons office @ 3:00 pm to discuss this furious of the situation. Wanda called Joe's wife and faxed her over a copy of the letter. Joe's wife stated she would pay the bill via credit card by phone today. I told Wanda I want a receipt showing it paid. She said she will call me later to pick it up after Janice pays it (I have yet to receive this call nor has anyone from All-Seasons offered us an apology). As I got back to my car I immediately called Alloy Gutter Co. Kathy told me it is legal for them to do this since All-Seasons hired them as a sub-contractor. As I was speaking to her Janice was on the other line paying the bill via credit card. Kathy told me she will send us a letter stating it was paid and cancel the lien and will reinstate the warranties for us. It has taken 15+ calls, a complaint to the BBB including them sending All-Seasons a certified letter looking for a response and 6 emails back and forth with the representative of the BBB handling our complaint, 12 weeks and several threats since the crews packed up to get them here to fix issues that existed since the project commenced and they still are not resolved and today we almost had a lien put on our home because of the unprofessional, poor service, poor workmanship and scandalous ways this company conducts business. A company that in the beginning promised us nothing but superior work and quality products! This whole ordeal has caused us a great amount of stress. I told Joe Kooienga before signing the contract that I am not well; I am fighting cancer and my husband has Muscular Dystrophy and so we need this to go smoothly because we don?t need added stress. Joe stated he understood and that his company does good work, offers lifetime warranties on products and services and he stands behind his products and word. We fell for it including the ?Show Home? sales pitch which we have learned since he uses at all his sales calls. We tried to cover all our bases before hiring a contractor. We checked the BBB website, we read customer comments on their website, we got several quotes but were still mislead. Now we are worried that we invested in a company and their products and services that have Lifetime Warranty on their products and services that may be no good to us because we can't get them to respond and stand behind it all.
