    RARE Moving & Storage
    This was an amazing experience from start to finish.  The owner, Reid Kamaul, responded to our phone call promptly and scheduled the local pickup within a couple of days-in fact on a holiday weekend!  He and two workers arrived on time and the choreography began.  They were polished, professional, and friendly.  They worked quickly and steadily while cheerfully answering all the questions we peppered them with.  They were knowledgible about the maker of our piano and shared information about the company and it's history.  As they dismantled the piano, each part was carefully wrapped for storage and transport.  It was all over in under an hour and we are still telling people about the experience.  The piano was held in storage in Boston until they had a shipment south and it was only a couple of weeks before we got the call that it was on it's way.  The Mississippi owner had the exact experience in reverse as they unpacked and assembled the piano.  She was playing it before they were out of the drive!  It was truly worth every penny and we can't say enough about this terrific company.  We would trust them with packing and transporting anything.

    OLDE TYME COUNTRY OAK
    I searched online for a corner entertainment center that I liked and found one on the website of Olde Tyme Country Oak in Shipshewanna, IN. The store is located in a large Amish community known for it's craftsman. I drove from Michigan to the store (2+ hours) and decided to order the corner unit and two end tables. Keith and his wife assisted me. The unit and tables were to be custom made and stained in a color that I selected. I was promised delivery in 8-10 weeks. This would put delivery shortly after Thanksgiving. At the time I ordered these items, I paid 50% down, with the remaining 50% to be paid at the time of delivery. Some time after placing the order, I called the Frys and asked if it would be possible to pay an additional fee to receive delivery on this order before Thanksgiving. A number of things were happening in my life, including my cat being diagnosed with a tumor that would result in his death. Keith was rude and acted as if my call was the worst possible thing a customer could do to them. I was shocked at the way he reacted. I am a degreed professional and carry myself in that manner with business or personal transactions and don't believe that it was a "crime" to ask the question. I called at the end of 8 weeks to check on their progress, as I hadn't heard from the company. I was told that my furniture wasn't ready and they would call me when they were ready to schedule delivery. I called a third time at the 10 week mark, as this was the end of the time frame they gave me. Keith told me that they don't come to Michigan to deliver furniture until they have a full truck. I found this to be poor customer service, as I had paid per mile for delivery, at approximately $200 for the three items. My furniture was delivered approximately 12 weeks after it was ordered. Keith and another man did the delivery and broke the latch on my storm door bringing the entertainment center into my house. He also scratched up the back of the unit on the door jam and didn't think it was a big deal since "no one would see it." I checked the drawers of the unit and found that the top drawer was floppy, as the track wasn't installed properly. Keith had promised me "lifetime satisfaction". He didn't think I should be dissatisfied about the drawer, but couldn't explain why he hadn't checked out the unit prior to delivery. He came back after I threatened to turn him into the BBB and did a terrible job of trying to fix the drawer. He refused to pay someone in the area to repair it. I have never been treated with so much disrespect and contempt by anyone that I've done business with. This happened in 2004 and I still get upset when I think about it. The worst part of this transaction was when Keith tried to say that I was being irrational because I was upset about my cat dying. Cash payment for the remainder was required by phone before they left their warehouse.
