Appliance Repair reviews in Holt

It went very well. Brian returned my call in about an hour, and said he was in my vicinity and free at the moment and would arrive in 15 mins. He replaced my ice maker in another 15 mins, showing me what he did and why. The whole process, from initial call to completion, took about 2 hours. I know I can't always expect turnaround that fast, but I will definitely be calling Ace again.

The repair went well. Brian determined the electronic water level boards were defective and replaced them. I've been using Ace Appliance Service for home and rental properties for over 20 years and would not consider using anyone else. Brian is very honest, professional, friendly, and provides expert service at a very affordable price. I highly recommend Ace Appliance Services.

Chris, the technician had to come several times because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with our washer. He did great though and finally figured it out. He kept in contact with us as he ordered parts and continued to come out to figure it out. He was very nice and professional. I would recommend Ace Appliance and would use them again. The price was reasonable for the work that was done.

Don't use this guy. I paid 150 dollars for him to fix the drain pump on my Bosch dishwasher. He was recommended by Bosch. The pump broke again three months later. He wanted to charge me another 90 dollars to replace the faulty pump. He didn't take responsibility for his work or the parts he receives. Still has not gotten back with me, said he would talk to Bosch. Horrible communication, doesn't warranty his parts or work. I have also called to at least get my money back for the pump that doesn't work. He will not call me back. Use a guy Bosch recommends out of Flint.

I wish I could give him more than five stars.  Brian repaired my dryer to be better than new.    I mean that. He showed me the part he replaced, and the part he replaced it with.  The new part is so vastly superior even the most untrained eye could tell the difference.
Ace appliance repair worked with me and my work schedule.  I am thankful to the person who recommended them to me.   I have had repair services who seemed to be determined to convince me to trash my current appliance for a new one. ( after they got their service charge check, obviously )  ace appliance repair, however, appears to have a very old world philosophy about it.  They want to do what is best for the customer.
I will be recommending Ace appliance service to anyone within 50 miles of me for appliance service.

He tried to fix the dryer but after a couple of trips he advised that it was better to replace it than to fix it.  He was very honest and he noticed an issue with our washer, and he fixed it too.

I called early this afternoon to have them check whether my washer could be fixed, or needed replacement. They got me on their schedule for this same afternooon (late afternoon).
Sadly, the washer needs a new transmission (he showed me how he knew this) and would cost as much to repair as to replace. The repairman was super nice, down to earth, friendly, and we got to chatting as he worked (BTW young enough to be my kid if not grandkid so don't get the wrong idea). We talked about how all the appliances are 22 years old. With utterly *no* pressure he asked if I wanted him to take a look at the dryer for preventive maintenance purposes, since I'd already be charged a service call anyway. He made a minor repair on that (showing me clearly why it would increase longevity, but saying it wouldn't break immediately and if I wanted to wait that was fine).
As I was writing the check for the service, we were still talking about the other appliances, and I mentioned that I was planning to replace the stove due to problems with the oven. When I described them, he said "it's probably just the igniter; if it is that would be around $80 for the part" (and still the same service call charge), again saying he wasn't trying to pressure me (and I didn't feel pressured at all). So, he checked that out, demonstrated that it was the igniter, and replaced that, too (showing me afterwards what the correctly-functioning one looked like, and the difference was clear/dramatic).
So, super nice, very helpful, showing me clearly in each case why he was doing what he did, and offering more service but not applying pressure. He had all the necessary parts on his truck, no hassle on that f
R.I.P service for the washer was going to run around $70-80, added around $30 for the dryer part, and $80-90 for the igniter (vs. the $700 or so I was looking at for a new gas stove).
I'm happy, happy, happy, and would call these guys again in a minute if I needed appliance service.

The job went very well. The oven wasn't working on a weekend. I called them Monday morning, they came out that day and identified the issue and what part I needed and they had to order the part because it was an older oven and then they made another appointment then to put it in, and I was out of town because I have a cottage up north so he accommodated my schedule when I was returning and even called me that day to make sure that I going to be there, and I was in the car driving up north. He made sure that our timing wold work and he came that day and put the part in and the oven has been working just fine. They were very timely, helpful and they did well.

    Lane's Appliance Repair
Lane's had been referred to me by a coworker who knew Walt. Our washer had stopped working in the middle of the wash cycle, and I didn't know how to fix it. Our garbage disposal had also coincidentally stopped working at the same time. My coworker gave Walt my number and he called me and set up a time to come out, which happened to be same day. He discovered our washer needed a new pump, which was $140 in parts and that we needed a new garbage disposal because ours was as old as crust. That ended up costing $110 in parts. So, if you subtract $140 + $110 from $350, the service was only $100. That's not bad for two tasks! Apparently putting a new pump in a Frigidaire washer is not fun or easy, and it took him an hour. Walt was very nice, funny, and cleaned up after himself. He told me he sincerely appreciated the business and offered to look at my leaky dishwasher in the future and said he could recommend some good brands/models if I wanted to buy a new one (which I said I might go ahead and do instead of fixing the leak). I would call them again for any repair job in the future!

My oven had stopped working.  I called D**** Appliance on a Monday afternoon and they came out the next day. They were right on time which was a pleasant surprise.  The repair person was very nice and professional.  After diagnosing the problem they had to go get a part.  They went above and beyond working with my time constraints and had my oven fixed they very same day.  The service was awesome and the cost was very fair.  I will definately use them for my repairs in the future!
