    Hain Property Services
Josh gave us a timely estimate of the work we wanted done. He was able to perform both the powerwashing and the staining of our backyard deck even earlier than dates expected. Josh was personable and it is obvious that he posseses very professional work ethic. (Explained products and procedures well). We are very pleased with how nice our home exterior and roof look after the powerwashing and our back yard deck  looks exceptionally nice after the stain application. Josh and his crew did a Great Job!

I wanted an evaluation of some engine/road noises.  Went with a tech for test drive.  They also did an evaluation of noises and potential bushing issue on the rack.  The noises were not a safety issue or problem and did not need attention.  Adjusted the bushing that was "frozen" for a pretty nominal fee, instead of having to replace it.  Were punctual and provided helpful explanations.  Provided a good recommendation for alignment services, which they do not do.
My only suggestion for them is that they provide transportation service to a residence and not just to a work location.

MAINE WINDOW CLEANING & Power Washing Inc.
I received a quote from Ken within 2 days of request. We met to determine if he could do it within the time line I needed. He talked it over with his wife and the job was scheduled for May 19th. He also offered to assist me when I wished to have my screens replaced.

    Hillis Brothers Painting
Hillis Bros arrived as scheduled on Friday and two workers treated all decking surfaces and then gently powerwashed to remove all of the neglected sins. The previous owners had self powerwashed and sealed on a fairly regular basis,. But the powerwashing had been quite vigorous and had left the wood sharply jagged with the raised grain very rough and saw-toothed. Hillis Bros returned on Monday after the wood had dryed for two days. They used a large floor sander for all the decking and seating benches. A hand sander was used for the railings. The stain/sealer was brushed and sprayed and looks terrific. Whole job took about 3 hours on each of two days and clean-up was very good.
The deck, rails, and seating are no longer rough and "splintery." Our two year old Grand Daughter can now sit and slide on the surfaces without scratching her legs.

    Third Coast Color Painting Co
Everything went very well, considering the contractor's truck was smashed in an accident the day before he was planning to start.
Chris is a one man house painting show!  He met my husband on time to provide an estimate, responded to our emails right away whenever we had questions, took his time with the work, never asked us for anything (except to leave the water on - we don't live in the house yet), was incredibly professional and polite, and while his hours were a bit skewed because of the truck issue (thus the "B" rating), everything else was spot on.  Our house isn't that big, but the trim was in some very high locations and the deck is fairly large with a lot of lattice, and he did a great job painting that.  We also have two flower pots attached to the front of the house that we forgot about, and he painted those too - they look great now!
He gave us a 5% discount because we found him on Angie's List, gave us some after-care advice, used the best quality paint for exterior jobs, and based on the pictures I've seen (he emailed photo's right away), it looked great!  My husband drove out after work to take pictures of his own.  His only issue was that it looked like some of the old paint might have still been there in a few places but then he said it was likely that the paint just wouldn't scrape off (and Chris spent probably a good five days scraping and prepping), and while Chris is EPA certified to remove lead paint, maybe using a thinner to expose the original wood might not have been a good idea.
We highly recommend Third Coast Color.  Chris is very responsible, very professional, takes his time (but doesn't goof off), communicates well, is super nice, and does a heck of a job.  Plus, he takes PayPal, so I was able to use my charge card to pay him, which is much easier and much faster than letting a check clear.
    Thank you, Chris!

MAINE WINDOW CLEANING & Power Washing Inc.
It went well. We had a delay due to weather but rescheduled fairly quickly. They arrived on time and finished both jobs the same day. The power washing is hard to judge but was basically just that. Pretty much done from the ground with a power sprayer.
All the windows, inside and out, were cleaned with cloth and squeegy. Screens were removed at my request and brushed off. Afterward, he went back around, checked and spot cleaned each window as needed. All in all they did a very good job and we are happy with the results.
