The experience was fine; it went well. I had gotten some other estimates and I went with Lewis Landscaping because of the price. I felt like he would be good to work -- he was easy to communicate with. A big part of that was re-setting the pavers because that was a lot of work. They had to take out all of the pavers and re-level. The walkway looks really good now. One of the plants that he planted for me is not looking very good right now and I haven't contacted him about it. That is the only negative thing I can say about that experience. Otherwise I was happy with everything. It wasn't over the top plants and landscaping or else the price would have been more. The landscaping was basic, people don't look at it and ooh and aah, but it is basic -- it looks nice and neat. One thing I appreciated about them was that they came in and stayed on this job until it was done; they only took two days to do everything. It wasn't just him and another guy; he had a crew working to get the job done and I appreciated it. From start to finish was very efficient. They just really went at it and got it done. They get a lot of work done because they are all working.

I'm renting my house so I have not seen the results of their treatments and I'm hoping it was good. They pressure you into more treatments than you're contracted for and I think unless you explicitly tell them you don't want it next year they'll go ahead and start next year. So, it's a little bit of a scam. I thought it was a little bit pricey but I had to have it done.  I haven't been there to tell them how well they did. They call me up and try and sell me more services all the time and that gets annoying. They call me before coming out there and I keep telling them I'm not there. Their business model is complacent to be desired. It's an okay service. Just be prepared to have a hard sell on more services.

I was very happy with the tree removal, which was a big job. For the trimming, the crew who working for the trimming, I was directing them with how to trim the tree. Once they were done and I went to the street side, they left something hanging out. I called the owner about that and he was very nice. He said that when they are out in my neighborhood they would fix that, but they have not. He said he would come back, but he never did.

I showed him my site and told him what I was interested in. What he came up with, was beautiful, but it was over my budget. I needed his help with getting my site ready for planting, which he has been able to do some of that by keeping it to a minimum.

Mr.with Mayhoe was a pleasure to work with.  He came out to the house to give the estimate for the job and was very knowledgeable about the trees and explained what they would do.  He was also very personable and friendly.  Once I decided to move forward with the work I called to schedule the appointment.  The response time was very quick.  I was at work the day the crew did the work and when I arrived home I was very happy with the job.  They did exactly the work they said they would do and cleaned every up nicely. I would recommend the company and their services to anyone.

We left Prestige a message for an estimate on Friday, 4/17/15 and got a call back from Ben, the owner, the following day. He came out within 15 minutes and we discussed the work we wanted done (to bury the downspout that runs down the side of our garage and install a system to carry the water away from the driveway area). He seemed very nice and suggested a solution (connect the downspout to a tube that would run underground and vent the water via a pop-up several feet from the driveway). He stated we would hear from him on Monday with a proposal.
We expected him to give us a written proposal with details about what materials he would use, the work to be done, and the price, and he would then schedule the work if we agreed. Instead he just showed up and began unloading his truck to start work. His proposal simply stated "Bury 1 downspout" and the price. Since we liked him and the price was right, we decided to forego waiting for the remaining people we expected estimates from (we had previously received one estimate and where waiting for one from another company) and just have him go ahead with the work.
However, when he started work we did not know what kind of tubing he was using (PVC, corrugated solid, or corrugated perforated), which was bothersome because it was important to us that there be no drainage near the driveway. We had to ask, and this is something he should have reviewed with us first, to be sure we were satisfied with the materials he was using.
When we inspected the work after he finished (it did not take them long), he had curved the drain tubing so it lay right next to our
driveway instead of running straight out from the downspout. This meant he had to move the small pipe in the ground that holds the cane bolt for our double gate from its original position, resulting in the double gate no longer closing in a straight line, but instead made an unattractive angle when closed. We told him all he had needed to do was bury the drain tubing so it ran straight out from the downspout instead of bending it toward the driveway, and the pipe that holds the cane bolt could still be placed in its original position and all would be good. We told him he needed to rebury the drain tubing so it didn't impact the gate.
When my husband and I stood there before he began to dig up and rebury the tubing, so that we could make sure we were all on the same page on this, Ben looked at me and said, "What are you going to do, stand there and videotape me?" And then he repeated it. We were so shocked we didn't even know what to say. We have had numerous workmen out to the house to do work, from huge projects that took months to complete to small jobs that took only a few minutes, plus many repairmen who worked on appliances in our home. I have never had anyone object to us watching them do work we were paying them to do. If Ben meant this as a joke, it didn't come off that way to either me or my husband. We also didn't like the assumption that he would show up and do the work without giving us a chance to review written specifics. These two reasons are why we gave Prestige an F for Professionalism. Prestige will not be doing additional work on our home.

It was very expensive and some of the quality wasn't good. The stairs weren't straight. The drainage isn't set up well, sand comes out from under the steps. They put up a couple of retaining wall that weren't done right. I called him about the issues and he said that he would come right out and I haven't heard from them since. They were nice when they came out, they were nice on the phone, but they haven't followed up. With the price, the quality should have been better. I would not use them again.

They did a really good. They were prompt, professional and good all the way around. I was having problems with a sub-pump line and they fixed it. It seemed fairly reasonable on price and they did good quality work.

The removal of the tree and pruning of the trees went well. Work was performed quickly and cleanup thorough. And, even though my husband was disappointed in how much of the trees were pruned off, we were given a thorough explanation as to why and we were then satisfied.
The problem that occurred was related to the completion of the job that we were given an estimate for - the grinding of the stump. Despite several calls to let them know that the section of fence that needed to be removed for the stump grinding was complete . . . they never returned to do the stump grinding.
We were only charged for the work that was done - payment for the stump grinding was to be paid when that portion of the estimate was complete. So, there was no issue of being charged for work not done - just being left hanging on the necessary stump grinding that would allow us to replace the fence. After several months of waiting, it became clear they were not going to return to finish the job that we were given an estimate for.
If you only need pruning of trees or removal of trees, I would definitely recommend this company. If you are anticipating that after tree removal that the stump will be removed also, our experience would say 'don't count on it'.

My main dislike was that they called us the day they wanted to come out. They were supposed to contact us earlier with the day they were going to come out. They did what we wanted and they got it all done within one day, which was nice. I would recommend them.
