  • Service agent was very professional and knowledgeable. Completed work in a timely manner while sharing tips to improve furnace longevity. Price was 1/2 of competition and responded in 3 days vs 2wks for competitors. Only negative was 30min late for appt.

  • Ballard was able to send someone out the same day to snake our clogged sink drain.  They were pleasant and professional.  However, the person they sent out was a subcontractor (which they didn't tell us) and as a result rather than their normal service fee of around $50 they charged us over $200 for 15 minutes work to snake the drain.  When I complained they did lower the fee a bit but I still feel that people should be warned - be very sure to ask if they are sending a subcontractor and, if so, what the price will be as it will not be their usual hourly rate.

  • It went very well. Doug was professional, courteous and prompt to respond to my call. Whoever wrote the previous review that gave him an F was totally mistaken. It is hard for me to believe that this other customer wrote something so completely opposite of our experience. His family has had this business for years and other websites agree with my report - 4 STARS is good enough for me!

  • They were great about getting someone out that day which I appreciated. But what they quoted me price wise was three times that when he finished. But not a lot we could do at that point. However when I was experiencing the same problem I had originally reported the very next day I called right back. They couldn't get anyone out that day but said they could come the next morning. They claimed they waived the service fee but still wanted over $200 more. We gave them $100 and I called their customer service the next day. The woman was very nice and told me she would get back with me after talking to the tech. That was over a month ago and I've not heard from her. But I also haven't received another bill. So maybe we are square. I think almost $500 and two trips to unclog a drain line is more than enough. But maybe I have just been very fortunate to not need a plumber much so don't know what's realistic to expect. Bottom line: They were nice but pricey in my opinion. Would I use them again or recommend them. Probably not based on this experience. By the way...I only got service with them the first time because they had serviced the home before under the prior owners. Otherwise they weren't accepting new clients at the time I called.

UPDATE: I was finally contacted on April 2nd regarding my service from MacGregor. The woman was very polite but asked me why I thought I should have had a follow up call. I told her I was expecting one because that was what I was told when I had contacted customer service in the first place. She explained that there was a credit issued to my bill and there was no further balance due for the service. This was the first I learned of this. Even though it took a month to resolve the billing issue I do think MacGregor was concerned with making me happy in the end. So, in all fairness to them I have upgraded their ratings. As a former business owner I understand that sometimes things don't go right with a client and that accommodations need to be made. I appreciate MacGregor's efforts to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. Will I contact them again next time? I'm crossing my fingers there won't be a next time!

  • No other heating contractor seemed to be able to solve the problem with my hot water heating system. They would give me estimates for thousands of dollars to add things the system never needed in the first place, or actually do work that made things worse. Mark came in and saw immediately that the system was simply very low on water. Additionally, he found that the carbon monoxide problem was caused by a sticky damper in the vent. He also helped discover that part of the problem was the government energy controls built into our |thermostats. While the system isn't yet perfect, things are so much better! I will have Mark back to fix one more small issue. He did what he said he could do, when he said he would do it with professionalism and good humor. He is a winner.

This water heater  was "running too rich" and needed cleaning, Haley's quoted me $135 to come out and clean it.
Keep in mind it was operating fine. After he was there for a while, he
called me and said he needed another part (they charge for the time
spent driving, too, of course) then he called back and said "you need a
new hot water heater." It was working fine before he got there, now I
had to buy a new heater and his bill was $231 for NOTHING.  I told them before hiring them, I can get a new hot water heater for under $400, so I don't want to put a lot of money into this.  I wound up owing them $231, almost a$100 over their bid, and my water heater was no longer functional, so I had to then buy a new one.

  • It was a very positive experience! Chad is extremely reliable. He explained each plumbing issue with us very clearly. When we scheduled the next visit, he was punctual and professional. I recommend Chad at Pure Plumbing because he is an honest guy and very reasonable too. He makes every effort to save the customer money. I am very happy I stumbled upon Chad at Pure Plumbing.

  • We have had wonderful experiences with them. They give you a window of when they are going to be there and if they are running late they will let you know. The actual service guy gives you a call as he is inbound to you and gives you an idea of about how much longer it is going to be. They are very neat. They come in looking good. They take really good care of cleaning up after themselves. They are reasonably priced. They are good people. We have used them for years and years.

  • I have been using them since 1975. He (the serviceman) came out and he fixed the dripping without any problems what so ever. They also ordered a part to repair the drainage problem and will come back out to fix that problem as soon as the part gets in. I will continue to use them.
