  • My dogs have been going to Katie for the last couple years.  They love her!!  She's great with them.  She is very customer service oriented and always willing to do what she can to fit you in.

  • Emmie looked very nicely groomed and was waiting patiently. She doesn't have a lot of dogs waiting. Does one at a time and therefore your pet does not have
to be left in a cage for hours on end. It only took an hour and a half. I was very pleased and will go back again.

  • After my cat caught a bat in my house I decided to get him a rabies shot
since he was past due on one. I had gone to Bay Pines before and
though they were always extremely expensive in comparison to the other
vets in the area, they had done a good job with my pets. I called ahead
and asked how much the vaccine would cost. They told me $32. I
explained that my cat was very aggressive and that I did not want an
exam done due to this fact and his contact with the bat. I simply
wanted the vaccine and nothing more. They assured me it would only cost
$32. When I arrived, I reiterated that I only wanted the vaccine, and
they again assured me it would only cost $32. When I got in the room
and the vet finally came in, I was given a lecture on the dangers of not
having my cat vaccinated for rabies and told horror stories of cats
being mandatorily put to sleep only because of their contact with risky
animals. I was a vet tech for years and then until now a professional
pet groomer and already knew all of this information. He preceded to go
back out and get me printed information, which again I did not want or
need. He then quickly gave my cat the vaccine, while I held him, and
left the room. To be clear, my cat was never examined nor touched by
any professional there. When I went to pay they told me I owed $64 for a
$32 exam and a $32 vaccine! When I explained that this was outrageous
because I not only had been told I would only be charged $32, but that
the vet had not "examined" my cat in the least, so why was I being
charged as such? After asking the vet, the receptionist told me it was
due to the time he had spent talking me. Though I argued that this was
ridiculous, because I had never asked for the information nor wanted it,
and again had been told twice I would not be charged an exam fee, they
refused to reduce my charge. I paid and have never been back there.

  • Every time I go to Maple River, I am greeted by a very friendly staff, I never wait long to be seen, and the vet is very kind and knowledgable. Dr. Colleen is an amazing vet and is very patient with my zoo of animals and their many problems. I have been to almost every vet in the area and can easily say they are the most affordable vet around, and also do the best work. If they don't know the answer they'll try and find it, consult other vets, and do research. I'll be a client for life.

  • The care there is first rate. He is really good. The staff are all cat people. The facility is spotless. They are stocked well. Their prices are in line with everyone else's. They are just super people.

  • The staff is friendly and courteous with us and our animals. When we come in they know the dogs names just by seeing them. This is a great consolation when you are leaving members of your family for someone else to take care of. The staff is also very conscientious of each animal's preferences and quirks. We have only used the nail clipping services of the grooming department. Our dogs are lower maintenance and do not require professional grooming. We have not been required to make an appointment and have been able to walk in to receive nail clipping services. The facility is very clean and well lit. They have outdoor facilities for the dogs to run, play and exercise. The animals are housed indoors with proper proper fencing to keep the dogs separated. Vaccination records for the animals are required to be kept up to date, which assures that your animal won't come home with illness (nor spread it to others if they are ill). Pricing is similar to, or less than the other services in the area. There is nothing but good things to say about LTBHS and I highly recommend them. The bonus of utilizing the services of LTBHS for Boarding and Grooming is the proceeds are put back into the Humane Society.

  • We were concerned on whether or not they could do this procedure on our cat, but they took care of him lickety-split. We even spoke with the Vet, Tim Howell, who later operated on him. Almost as soon as our cat got there, they took him back for his operation. It was done by that afternoon and later that day he bounced out of his carrier like nothing had every happened. We would use them again.

  • Great trainer especially the Puppy Class that is offered.   There is a variety of training options including training and boarding as one.  I highly recommend.
