    Flame Furnace Heating and Cooling
    I hired Flame to do a tune up on my furnace which included changing my humidifier filter. After a week or so, I realized that there was water on my floor and all over the furnace. The 2nd person came to my home, realized it was the wrong filter and ordered a new one. 3 weeks later after continuously calling to check on it, they finally called. The 3rd person came to my home with 2 filters, and claimed I asked for 2. After he started messing with the humidifier, the motor stopped working. He then gave me a quote for over $300 to repair it, and could not explain the price breakdown. He took out the filter and accused me of having an old one in there, when it was the filter the first person put in, then wanted me to pay for it. When I refused, I asked him to leave and have Flame call me. Flame never called me back. What I got was a bill in the mail for the filter. The humidifier currently doesn't work after 3 of them touched it and now they want me to pay for the filter which no one knows if it will leak in my humidifier. In the bill I received, there were comments from the last person that said I forced him to leave my house. That was a complete lie, I kindly asked him to leave, which is my right as a homeowner. He packed up and made conversation with me, and then left. He said, I should tell flame about my unsatisfactory experience with the company as he walked out the door.

    My Central AC Unit stopped working on (of course) one of the hottest days of the year. I worked with Jim at Performance Engineering who initially offered suggestions for a quick fix: i.e, checking the circuit breaker and wiring. After determining that these were not the cause of the system not working, he quickly diagnosed the problem as a burned out rotary cap and hard start kit. Replacement was quick and easy and he checked the freon level, noting that it was a little low. The AC Unit now works better than ever. I will definitely look to Performance Engineering if any future heating, cooling or electrical issues arise.

    Flame Furnace Heating and Cooling
    I've used flame several times for fall and spring tune-ups and loved them. Furnace broke a couple months ago though and I went with them to replace it. They came out quickly which I appreciated but installed it incorrectly. Overall, it took over 2.5 months for them to complete the job. They were nearly impossible to get a hold of and I was wondering if this would ever get resolved. They eventually came out multiple times to fix and complete but they consistently showed up with the wrong equipment or fixed things in a way that broke something else. What���s worse, billing kept calling to get the invoice paid. After I told them of the situation they apologized and said that they would not call again until job was complete, but that message never really got around. It was like rubbing salt in an open wound. Terrible experience overall. They've been great before but have just completely dropped the ball on this.

    Tony was excellent. He responded promptly to a Saturday call. When he realized parts would be needed and he had to wait until Monday to call a supplier, he called us bright and early on Monday so we weren't waiting all day to know what our options were. We decided to replace our furnace and he came out within a few hours. We believe the pricing was very fair. We would happily refer him to family or friends.

    They were very good. We have a 1920's home. They were great. They showed up when they should have. The job went well. He did what he agreed to do with my husband. They had to set it up a certain way. I remember them being phenomenal. They were good.

    The repair service was good, however it took 2 visits. It was very hot and the call required servicing my unit in the attic. They scheduled a Friday afternoon appointment but could not repair (needed parts) until after the weekend. A more thorough investigation would have found the problem sooner, did not need parts after all, and it would not have required 2nd visit and waiting the weekend for return.
