    Grosse Pointe Waterproofing LLC
Andrew and his wife (the "boss" as Andrew put it) were a pleasure to deal with. Andrew provided a product that was sensitive to cost but works well, at least so far. They were prompt, worked hard and cleaned up beautifully. My sense is that they are extremely honest and not looking to sell customers something they do no need. If you need basement waterproofing, call this company.

    Complete Service Restoration
Great! Ron and Dan did the wall paneling and ceiling tile removal and recommended air quality and haz mat companies to deal with the mold and asbestos issues and removal of the asbestos floor tile. They monitored all that. We hired the foundation contractor and the electrician, then CSR did the dry walling and floor painting. They did an excellent job, were very good to work with, kept us informed on timing and costs, helped us choose our options along the way. I would recommend them to anyone.

    WaterBGone Basement Waterproofing
When Joe came out to quote, i could tell right from the get go that he was a non nonsense guy and knows his trade. Very impressive! He didn't give me a sales pitch, he was a straight shooter and let me know what my options were. I did my due diligence and had four other quotes; he was quite competitive. I went with my gut and couldn't be happier with the results. Joe's crew was punctual and efficient. My basement is bone try thanks to Joe. Couldn't be happier with the results, money well spent.

We purchased a home in August and soon discovered that we had water problems in the finished basement. The home was covered by a home warranty company who told us we had to use their contractor if we wanted part of the cost covered. The home warranty company sent out Beck's Plumbing. The plumbers told us that we needed a new drainage system and sub pump installed in our basement. We scheduled the repair and it was completed. However, after the new sub pump and drainage pipe was placed, the basement still leaked. We contacted Beck's plumbing and they said "we stand by our work". They told us it was not a problem with the new pipe that was installed but that we needed to have our front porch replaced. Not believing this to be true, we hired two independent basement waterproofing specialists to come out and look at the work done by Beck's plumbing. Both of these specialists confirmed that the work done by Beck's plumbing was incorrect. I was shocked to find out that the pipe installed into our basement floor was installed upside down, no holes were drilled into the cement blocks, the sub pump was plugged into an electrical outlet that didn't even work and the sub pump connected into our existing sewer line instead of a separate sewer line. We contacted Beck's plumbing again to confront them about the poor work and they again stated that "we stand by our work. If you want to pay to fix it go ahead." Due to the gross negligence of this company, we were encouraged by other contractors to sue Beck's plumbing. When we tried to take legal action against them with the State Licensing Board we discovered that they are NOT licensed contractors. They also never pulled a permit to do the work on our home. Due to their negligence, we lost over $5,000 and now have no money to fix our basement which is still actively leaking. Please learn from our mistake and do not do business with this company of any person associated with it.

    HomeSpec BasementFix
Home Spec (HS) may be the very best company that I've ever had do a large construction project on any of the homes i've owned over 40 years. Every HS employee -- from main office to installers at the work sites -- understands and practices quality customer service. Being polite, businesslike , and responsive was practiced by all with whom I had contact. After interviewing 6 waterproofing companies, I found HS provided the best solution for my somewhat - difficult situation and they did the best in providing me with the answers I needed. Their price was competitive and better than most of the others. All of the employees, including the General Manager, were responsive to my questions and ensured that I got whatever I needed promptly. Just great service throughout . The work crew was a good bunch of guys....and they worked hard each of the days they were here: Except for < 30 mins of lunch, they were focused on doing the job and doing it right. Their clean up afterward was thorough and they put back everything detached/moved exactly as it was before they started. They're well organized and everyone gets done what they're assigned. So I'm very satisfied with HS and the quality of their work and employees. I would strongly urge anyone needing basement waterproofing to ask them for a review of their situation.

    Grosse Pointe Waterproofing LLC
This company quoted on the project, representative showed up on time, but would not quote using the method that I prefer. When asked, he commented that digging a trench down, filling foundation cracks, applying tar and back filling with gravel was "back breaking" work that he doesn't do.

    Foundation Systems of Michigan
They were very neat, organized, friendly, and professional. While they were doing the work we weren't able to be home and we completely trusted them to be there. They were very protective of our home and made sure no one entered the property.

    4 Ever Water Tite
I had several companies come to our house and help us figure out how to fix water leaking into our basement (nearly every time it rained). All 3 companies told me that we needed an interior drain system, with a variation on the type/cost. 4-Ever Water-Tite's bid was in the middle. What I liked best was how they were very familiar with my city (knew the inspector, mentioned other projects in the area, etc.). They also didn't try to get me to install stuff I didn't need, like a sump pump (another company stated we had to put one in but Bob told us it wasn't necessary for our city's drainage system).
We paid a deposit and they came to do the project less than a week later. The project took 1 and 1/2 days (due to city inspection). We had one snafu during the project (water line broke and water gushed into my basement - which wasn't their fault at all) and they handled it incredibly well with no damage or additional cost to us.
After they were done, we had a contractor come in several days later to replace the drywall that was taken out to install the drainage system. The contractor had no affiliation with 4-Every Water-Tite and he told us that they did an excellent job and "treated our house like it was their own."

    dbc Water Pros

This group of guys were the best. They showed up on time, they were polite. Each day they cleaned up, sweep the road and even took the garbage to the curb.

All wore team shirts, even the owner got his hands dirty, didn't just show up and look. What a great team.

    WaterBGone Basement Waterproofing
Joe Safie came out to my house twice to quote the job and was patient in answering all my questions. Mimi was consistent in following-up to see if and when I wanted to move forward with the service.
Didn't require any money up front and we agreed on a date about 3 weeks out so I could move my my stuff in the basement to another place. They said they would be about 9 am but showed up with full crew by 8:30.  The crew was very considerate of the house.  They placed full tarps from the front door to the basement and enclosed personal belongings in one corner of my basement. Joe promised to tuck point cracks in basement walls and wash the walls with bleach.  They completed all this by 3;30 pm and were done.  We haven't had a rain yet but I don't expect any water after seeing the process and the way it was performed.
Only snag was we found out 4 days after the service was performed that the power was overloaded in the basement. This shut off power to the basement freezer and we had to toss all the food that was in there and now possibly the freezer because of the smell.
