    Applegate Home Comfort
Every person we spoke to was professional and offered multiple options to meet our budget and provide the best overall solution for our home. All of their technicians were very knowledgeable. Installation was completed over two days as promised. They explained how to use each component and thoroughly cleaned up the area when the install was done. I would highly recommend Applegate.

They were great. They did great work. They did it all for that price. It was a great deal. The one worker was very professional. He explained everything he was doing to the furnace. The area was left as clean as what it was when he got there.

Since installing the furnace, our gas bill rarely tops 100 dollars per month throughout the winter. The installation was excellent. I've been told by friends and family that the duct work is first-class, professional work. I'm not surprised. Larry was very thorough in the installation process. He made sure we had the right furnace and the right number of ducts and vents. The heat travels throughout the house efficiently and the furnace rarely needs to run. It's also very quiet. Most importantly, we are much, much warmer. We were a little skeptical buying the very unfamiliar Maytag brand furnace and wondered about the quality. We knew they built dishwashers, but furnaces? Larry assured us it was a high quality furnace and the 12 year warranty sealed the deal for us. He also said a good installation would ensure the furnace would last a long time without problems. He was right. The furnace has been problem free since 2013. Servicing it is simple and takes Larry 20 to 30 minutes each fall. I also like the fact that the installer is always servicing the very furnace he installed. We have the two-stage furnace, and I recommend the slightly extra cost. It's very efficient and very quiet. We were new to the area when we bought our house and the furnace was one of the first purchases we made for our home. We considered other bigger companies, but they charged more and we were as convinced of the quality of work. Choosing Larry, a local, independent business owner, after reading his excellent Angie's List reviews was the absolutely the right choice. We've had an excellent experience working with him and love our Maytag furnace.

Great job done by Larry. Came to do initial check to see what we needed. Went over several options and helped us choose the right system for the size of our home. No upselling no pressure. After we decided he had the whole thing installed in no time and was prompt and even stayed late to finish at time promised.

Total Comfort Heating & Air Inc
After identifying the problem, the mechanic told me that I would need to either have the heat exchanger replaced with another - that would develop the same problem - or replace the furnace altogether (it was about 9 years old when it stopped working).  He said that I might want to contact a Bryant dealer, since he believed there was some sort of cost reduction Bryant would provide against a new furnace for this problem.
I contacted a Bryant dealer, and when their serviceman come out, he confirmed what the Total Comfort guy said.  To replace the Bryant furnace with another, the cost was quoted as $5500, with a reduction of $500 for the exchanger problem.
The Total Comfort folks gave me a quote of $2400 to replace the furnace with a comparable Rheem, so I went with them.
They came out on a Monday morning to replace the furnace.  It turned out that the way the Bryant had been installed made it far more difficult to take it apart, install the new furnace, and reconnect everything.  It took them two days instead of the partial day originally anticipated, yet they charged me nothing additional for the extra time required.
They were prompt in scheduling, punctual in arriving, and professional throughout.   I highly recommend!!!

    A-OK MECHANICAL
They came out very quickly on a Friday to review the work to be done, said they would get me an estimate early the next week. The estimate was a little late, but that was fine. They scheduled the work for the following Friday between 9am and 11am. I took the morning off work to be there and they never showed. I called them several times that morning, finally got a call back from them after 10am saying they had someone that could not work that day so they were not going to make it. He scheduled it for 8am on Monday. On Monday they were not their by 8am, I called them at 9am and they said they were still rounding up parts and would be there soon. They showed up at 10:20am. They completed the work by noon.
I should not have had to take two entire mornings off work for this, when they were only there for 90 minutes. The work they did was far less than what I paid for. The person who gave me the estimate said they would be building custom duct work, so the price would be higher than expected. That was not the case, they ended up re-working it and using 99% off the shelf parts.
The plumbing portion was done well, as was the duct work, just not done as it was described to me.
It's tough to find people to do small jobs, and maybe that's why this turned out so poor.

Immediately upon entering my home he went on and on and on about how he was the absolute best service provider.  He hooked something to my system and told me what was wrong with it.  This was not necessary because I already knew what was going on.  After he did this I asked him for prices on a new system, which he was well aware of was my intent.  When I did so he said that normally his pricing to come take a look at a system was $90, and that because I was an Angie's List member he would give me a discount and charged me $76.50.

We argued about the fact that I didn't need him to check my system, that I informed him of this and I already knew what was wrong with it.  That I had only contacted him to get pricing on a new system.  The argument went on a while and eventually I asked him to leave.  He agreed and asked if I would want any of his brochures for new systems.  I declined, and as he left he gave me my money back.

They did an excellent job.  They put a drop cloth down to prevent messes, cleaned up very well, and  did other things that customers like to see.  Additionally they were very polite and answered all of my questions.

    I highly recommend them.

Hager Fox Heating & Air Conditioning Co
They had a hard time getting our furnace repaired. It took them going out. I think it was more about design process. I think there was something like installing and disposing, they put out to change things. The manufacturer had one of those things and said that they needed to do something different what they be normally doing. I think their price is right in line. They were always nice people and courteous.

The first time i used them, two people came and i was pleased with their work. This time one person came and he talked a lot. He came to service the AC but he over charged us. I checked the fee for one pound on the internet but he charged us for 3 pounds and yet he did one pound. I will not use them again.
