The job went smoothly and as promised. Jan and Lori had to work around my schedule some days but they were very accommodating. They cleaned as they went so there was hardly any messes. Very pleased with their work and the end result. Would recommend them!

At first thought it was going to go well. He made it sound like he had more than just him working. It was just him. He was always later than when he said he would show up. Being late is a big pet peeve of mine. When questioned about it, he blew it off.Took him longer than he said it would. Tried charging more for something that he said actually worked out better for him. I would not hire him again. He also lost out on doing a big job for my mom.

Awful. I pay Angie's list to be able to obtain a reputable contractor. Instead, I have a mess that will take me a long time to fix. I have talked to you on numerous occasions and all I receive are reviews. I need you to tell me how I can fix this mess. They have $800. but I put a stop pay on the last due to the mess they left. I have already sent photos once, you should have them. Their add stating 35% discount for seniors is a joke. There was no discount. Workers were so high they were flying, they were dropped off and left. Did not leave until 10:30 at night.

We had water damage at our home. They did not handle the restoration but did the reconstruction. They were prompt with the estimate, but went weeks over the time to complete the project. The project manager was friendly and responsive, but did not have things completed to our liking on the first try. To their credit, they continued to work on our home until things were to our satisfaction. The work is now complete, and the overall team was of good quality.

I hired Mutt & Jeff Painting LLC to strip wallpaper and prime the walls for painting, which they agreed to do. They sent over a team of polite and hard-working young men, but they did not equip them with the tools or the know-how to do the job properly. Problems with Work Done by Mutt & Jeff Painting LLC: Did not remove things from wall to remove wallpaper behind them (wall plate, stair railing, etc) Did not trim wallpaper from bathroom vanity properly, so it showed as a rough edge Did not come equipped with proper tools for job, so I had to provide the following: wallpaper scoring tool, paint roller, garbage bags, rags, vinegar, DIF, stool, screwdrivers, edging guide, wastebaskets, patching plaster, Workers were not told how to remove wallpaper properly. They were told to use hot water only. This took them much more time than necessary and much more effort was required. The glue did not come off until I gave them DIF and vinegar. Painted primer over rough glue in half bath, leaving the surface pitted, and rough, with glue and paper under the primer. Got paint on my cupboards, the wood banister, wood stair railing, floors, bathroom vanity top and wooden cabinet. It took me hours to scrub it off, and that process removed some wood finish and lightened the color on my vanity top. Got paint on the ceiling, which I had not intended to paint. Got paint on the trim in the kitchen, which I had not intended to paint. Used my kitchen towel as a rag, getting paint on it. Moved the refrigerator without a rug under it, resulting in three blemishes in the linoleum. Did not wipe off surfaces after removing paper, resulting in glue and paper bits all over. Did not use adequate drop cloths resulting in paint on many surfaces Disclosed, after the job, that they had not removed wallpaper before No one supervised the work, even after I complained and asked Gilbert Gonzales to come over I do not blame the hard-working young men who did the work, I blame the management for sending an inexperienced crew to do a job without the proper tools and instructions and supervision needed. We asked the salesperson to come look at the job part-way through, but he only came to ask for a check, and also asked for additional payment because "it took so long." I tried to stop payment of the final payment when I found the damage, but Gilbert already cashed the check within minutes of leaving my house. When we called to complain after finding the paint and linoleum damage, they admitted they had never done wallpaper removal before. When we asked for repairs to the linoleum and hole in the drywall, they promised to come back out, but no one has called or returned. We have talked to the salesman, Gilbert, and the owner, James. I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I had an excellent experience with this company.  The workers were very professional and the work was completed in a very timely fashion and the quality was very good.  I am very pleased with this company and would be glad to recommend them to anybody needing a general contractor and would use them again in the future for sure!!!

They were really good. They did the work, and everything was good. The interaction was good, and I would go back to them. The countertops turned out really nice, and they are working out good, no problems at all.

It is going great. We have worked together for a few weeks now and I can really tell the difference. We still have a ways to go. Once we go through the house, she is going to help stage it as I will be putting it on the market. She has been a joy to work with.

Everything to like and nothing of which to complain.  TBI has done work for me over the past twenty years.  The list includes kitchen remodel, remodel two bathrooms, sunroom addition, covered deck, basement remodel after a flood (no power...no sump), replacement windows and a new roof.  It looks like I'm done with the house.  But, if I need anything else, TBI will get the business.  They do good work at a fair price and I can trust any one of their employees to be in my house at any time.  I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I could not have been more satisfied with the quality of the work and with the service provided by the contractor, Taylor Teachout, and all his subcontractors.  Everyone was not only highly skilled but pleasant to have around my home and accommodating of my schedule and the needs of my elderly mother.  Everyone was also flexible and resourceful when we inevitably hit an occasional bump in the road.  Taylor has an excellent eye for design and gave very helpful suggestions when I was unsure about choosing materials or colors.  He brought not only competence to the job but genuine enthusiasm, a desire to please and a good nature that made the whole experience pleasant when it could have been stressful.  I am looking forward to being able to do another substantial project with TBI and would recommend them without reservation.
