Bradfield Home Improvement and Remodeling LLC
Bradfield Home Improvement was top notch. John and his subs all did exceptional work. John communicated in a timely fashion and was receptive to all my needs. His subs were readily available for phone calls. I never felt taken advantage of as a single, widowed woman. I actually felt John and his subs went the extra mile to insure my needs were met and that I understood everything. Of note....the economy is booming right now and subs are very busy. Be aware....the economy is booming and everyone is very busy. Exceptional quality work is worth waiting for.

    Edwards Drywall
Once they started, they came to do the job each day until the bulk of the job was done. The workers were nice, but they did a lousy job of matching the texture. I was able to get them back to re-do the area where the new texture met the existing texture. They didn't cover up all the equipment and consequently got drywall mud sprayed on much of it. Then they didn't remove what protective plastic they did use. They sprayed over the door opener ceiling outlet and it had to be replaced. They didn't clean up the floor very well and they didn't bother to clean up the equipment that they sprayed drywall mud on. They didn't re-install the ceiling light fixtures or the garage door opener light fixture, nor did they re-install the attic opening trim. They sprayed drywall mud on the walls and didn't bother to clean it off either. They over routed an excessive area of board around one of the light fixtures but didn't bother to repair that mistake. I called no less than 15 times leaving messages to get them out here and repair their mistake, but none of the calls were ever returned and they never came back to repair their mistake. I finally gave up on them and had to repair their mistake myself. The one part of the job that they did well was the insulation replacement

The entire project was completed in a very efficient and professional manner. The contractor and his crew members were all very friendly , easy to work with and talk to. They answered all of our questions, listened to our wishes, and made changes as needed. We would not hesitate to use this company again for future projects.

During the project, they thought they would have to cut a hole in a closet wall to do the plumbing. They figured out a way to do the work without making a hole in the wall. They were excellent at solving problems.

Outstanding, work performed on time and on budget.  Paul was there to resolve issues, kept us informed of progress and helped us determine final design details.  Crew was outstanding, good people to work with and have in our home.
Would recommend to anyone and would certainly use again.

They did a very good job.  He estimated the time for me and he was actually quicker than the time that he estimated. He was very prompt, came right away in the morning. Then it had to sit overnight before he could sand it. He came back the next day and finished off. He was very prompt and very good.

    Keeler Drywall
We wanted to update a 1938 house we purchased. The ceilings were a mix of composite tile and heavy textured stalactite style drywall that was many years old. Keeler Drywall let us know that the best course of action would be to completely rip out all of the existing ceilings and put up new. They quoted the entire job, but we opted to do the tear out ourselves and let them do the install. They did a great job of quoting, communicating when the work would be complete and also what to expect. The finished product looks fantastic and I would recommend them to use again.

Excellent work, no mess, painting is done perfectly. Call him if you want a really good job. He and his crew painted our living room and our high vaulted ceiling / dining room/ stairwell and 2nd floor landing. They take down all the wall hangings, move the furniture, and put is all back, cleaning up after themselves each day (we had five days for our project and he was here while we were gone in Europe). Excellent!!

    PRECISE DRYWALL
We contacted Precise Drywall because his Angie's List reviews were good.  There were only 2 reports but they were both good.  We got an estimate from them to tape and mud the drywall in our basement with textured ceiling for $900.  He said he would also prime the walls and ceiling for an additional $250.  He said we wouldn't need to paint the ceiling after he was done.  He said the job would take about 4 days.

It started out fine and we liked him..  First, he did the taping and mudding which went fine.  On the fourth or fifth day, he started texturing the ceiling and priming.  On the day he said he was going to be finished we paid him.  Things went downhill after we paid him.   He finished that day and said he needed to come back to finish some things including some splatters from his paint hose exploding.  We noticed that they didn't finish the inside door walls of the 2 closets.  I thought that they must have forgot so I called him to tell him.  He told me that in his 20 years of doing this he has never finished those walls but he agreed to do it.  I though that was strange but he did say he would do it.

On two separate occasions, he never showed up.  He finally came back for 10 minutes to mud/tape the closet and said he still needed to come back to finish.   We noticed that the ceiling needed a second coat of primer  because we could see roller marks and the splatters still had not been fixed.   We tried contacting him several times without a return call.  After 4 calls and a no show he called back and told us he was out of town for 2 weeks.  We told him about streaks on the ceiling and he said he originally agreed to apply one coat of primer.  He then said he would call us back to arrange a time to come back.  That was the last we heard from him and gave up.  We decided to fix the ceiling ourselves.

So, in summary, the walls and ceiling that he did mud and tape were fine.  The ceiling primer coat was streaky and since he said that we would not have to paint the ceiling, it should have a finished look.  Communication dropped off after he was paid.  The process went on for over a month and was never completed.

We appreciated the timely responses from John via email or phone. The workmanship was good and at the end of each day they always cleaned up. It was nice that they keep the mess to a minimum.
