I had problems with Ice build up on my roof in the winter. Dave chaffin and his son Ian came out to trouble shoot the problem for me. I had heard the sprayfoam was expensive, but the info dave provided me had lowered my expected cost significantly. I when with Wesley because I didn't feel like he was trying to work me over on the price but instead give me what I need to perform above my expectations. And that is what they did. We got the project done last Feburary and cleared the roof to watch for ice. No ice and now in this 90 + weather I don't even need to run my air conditioner my home is at least 20 degrees cooler. These guys are awesome I highly recommend wesley construction for spray foam.

At the onset of the project, I sat down with Don and went over the plans and my expectations. I am an automotive engineer with 30 years of experience and I was really impressed with Don and his amount of experience, building skills, and extensive knowledge of construction techniques. What really sold me was when Don offered to text me photos of the project along the way on my cell phone. We collaborated on issues when there were questions. It was almost like I was right there, even though I was 400 miles away. Don really built us a quality home, strong enough to handle the heaviest snow loads in the snow belt of the lower peninsula. He has a great business sense and the people skills to keep his crews in line. Most of all, Don seems to really care about the projects that he works on. He once went the extra mile to plow our heavily snowed driveway just so I could get into our new house to review some of his work. He finished our shell with many extra personal touches that we added along the way. He made the changes we wanted and didn't try to talk us out of them just because it would be easier. All this was done in a very timely manner. We would highly recommend Don for his innovation, quality, cost, character, and timeliness. This guy is a real winner! We plan to use him for more upcoming projects.

.Don was prompt on time and very knowable. He was personable and took time to explain in detail what needed to be done. He was so good we called for another estimate as we are prepared to go forward with the work. For Angies list to give him a C rating because of 2 non applicable responses is ridiculous.

The job went very well. Don (the owner of Precision Built) is very professional and knowledgeable, and communicates well. He provided quotes promptly, and he returns phonecalls and emails when there are questions, which is a big plus when you are trying to coordinate a job from 200 miles away(we live downstate). The job started on time, and despite some surprises(rotten roof boards) Don took care of the repair details and got everything done in a timely manner. The roof and chimney look great, and the price was fair. I will definitely call Don for our next cottage construction project.

I contacted Don at Precision Built Construction on a recommendation and it was the best call I have ever made.
Don came to my house the next day to look at my roof.  He introduced himself, gave me his business card, and we spoke about the issues I was having with the roof and what my expectations were for the completed project.  Then he did the first thing that impressed me.  He actually climbed up on the roof to look at it.  I had already had 3 other contractors come and give estimates and not one of them had gotten up on the roof to look at it.  After a thorough inspection he informed me that there were 2 layers of shingles on the house, not just one like the other contractors had stated.  I would have had a huge increase in the price of labor if I would have chosen one of the other contractors when they found the second layer of shingles.  That was the first savings he gave me.  The second savings I received from him actually may have cost a couple hundred dollars up front, but will be a huge savings in the long run.  Don built the house next door to mine and was very familiar with the high wind conditions on top of the hill that my house sits on. I had chosen 3 tab shingles because that was what was already there.  He asked if I had considered Dimensional shingles due to the high winds then he not only told me, but showed me using samples why Dimesnional shingles would be better on my house. This led me to change my mind and pay a bit more up front and not have to replace shingles torn off by the wind.
Two days later, Don hand delivered the quote for the roof and explained exactly how the work would be done.  He used laborers to tear off the old roof, but he alone would put the new shingles on because he wanted to make sure that they were all nailed on correctly.  He told me that he would begin the work on Friday morning if I accepted his offer, which I did.  His price was very competative and I liked his attitude.  I didn't feel that because he was doing buisness with a woman that he ever tried to take advantage of me of over charge for anything.  True to his word he showed up on Friday morning with his crew ready to work.  The roof was removed in sections exactly how Don said it would be and he alone put on the new shingles.  One day it was very cold and rainy and I expected Don to call and tell me he would not be there that day, or just not show up, but to my surprise he worked on the roof all day to get it completed on schedule.  There were a few added obsticles to the roofing job.  First it is an old farm house that has lightning rods on the roof.  One contractor absolutely refused to replace them if they got the job.  Don put all of the rods back exactly where they were originally placed and there have not been any leaking issues.  He also moved a bathroom vent pipe over for me which was not part of the roof job, but I asked if he would fix while he was up there.
The overall look of the roof is stunning and my yard was spotless when the job was complete.  I only found 1 old roofing nail in the yard after he left.  I paid 50% of the cost the day before the job began and the remainder when it was complete.  There were no surprises or added costs except for about $45 in board replacement that was not visible until the old roof was stripped and then I was only charged for the amount of the board that he used, not the entire board.
I was so impressed that I recommended him to my boss who needed his roof replaced.  He came into work after his roof was finished and could not say enough good things about his new roof and experience with Don.
I called Don back in late October to see if he would be available to roof another house I own in Bay City, a two hour commute each way from Gaylord, that required 28 square of shingles on a 10/12 pitch. I purchased all of the materials and had them roof top delivered.  Don unloaded all of the shingles and finished that Job by himself in just 4 days. There were 4 square of shingles left over from the job.  A shady contractor could have returned those shingles and pocketed the $451.  Don called me and asked if I wanted him to return the shingles since they were already in the back of his truck.  I told him that would be great and the sales person called me as soon as Don dropped off the shingles and credited the amount back to my card.
I now have him working on a roof, bathroom floor and wall repair, door replacement, and porch replacement on another rental I own.  He is the only contractor I will ever use from now on and I highly recommend him to anyone needing work completed.  Don is honest, very professional and takes extreme pride in his work. He has somewhere close to 30 years of building experience and is not a builder who just studied and took a test to get his license.  He is the real deal from begining to end.  Don't let the fact that this is a small business scare you away.  Don will complete your project quicker and more professionally than most big companies with a very competative bid.  He will be there everyday until the job is finished.  He will not start the job then disapprar for 2 weeks before he gets back to your job.

There was a storm that came through and blew off shingles of my house. My roof started leaking and I called a friend and they gave me Robb Guess's phone number. I called Robb and he came out the same day, gave me a quote and he started the next day. Robb worked from sun up to sun down.  My roof looks great and I havent had a leak since.

He is a good problem solver. If a problem came up, then he would sit down and figure out a solution. He is good at working with several people. He worked well with his crew and his subcontractors. He is very personable. His financial estimates were reasonable and close to what it cost. If the price was going to change, then he would let me know. He is really busy.
