    American Standard Roofing
My wife and I highly recommend American Standard Roofing. They were very professional, had excellent workmanship, and a fair and honest price. The workers showed up on time, and except for a 15 minute break, never stopped working. The workers cleaned the area up before leaving. The roof and gutter work were done as the salesman promised, there were no problems. The supervisor made sure we were happy with the work. We had a very positive experience, and would highly recommend this company.

    Victors Roofing
Victor's Roofing is top notch. A++

We initially hired a friend of a friend who took our deposit and disappeared for 2 months (thankfully we got our money back).  A friend at work HIGHLY recommended Victor's Roofing (VR) based on the outstanding job they did on his roof.

I called VR on Monday and received a free estimate at my home that Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m.  Sean was right on time and, after inspecting the roof, provided us with 3 very fair pricing options.  Materials were delivered Saturday morning.  And by the following Monday, we had a new roof!  And it looks great!  So do the gutters.  One week from initial phone call to job complete!

The entire process was smooth.  Communication was outstanding. Vlad kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, even calling to provide an update while the crew was on site.

The crew showed up promptly at 8:00 a.m. and was finished, cleaned-up and gone by 3:00 p.m. that afternoon.  You literally could not tell they were ever there.  Very impressive!

While the crew was on site, they identified several rotten boards and a couple broken planks.  These were all replaced/repaired.  Yes, this was an additional cost, but we understood this was a possibility going in.  Yet, we honestly couldn't help but question if all of the repair work was actually necessary.  Those questions were answered when Sean called to follow-up and, unprompted, asked if we'd like photos of the damage that was repaired.  He emailed us several photos and put our minds at ease.  It was in pretty rough shape and it was money well spent!

Overall, we couldn't be happier with the entire process.

    Victors Roofing
Get a quote from Victors - you will not be disappointed.  If you have never shopped for a new roof, plan on spending some time meeting with the vendors and educating yourself.   It is a very time consuming process and truthfully was a little stressful. They all do things a little differently and recommend different products/brands.   It will take some time to sort through all of the information.   We met with 3 companies.   One contractor was almost $2k higher, the other contractor was appx $200 cheaper (and lesser weight shingle).

Victors quote stood out - they had the best presentation, product and price.  The sales rep, Mike Rinta, was very easy to work with, he was aware that we had already met with other vendors and was super considerate of our time since we recently learned more than we ever wanted to know about having a roof replaced.  He was easy to reach when we had questions.  While he was up on the roof he took photographs on his iPad that he showed to us during our discussion.  Our roof was actually in worse condition than what we originally thought.  We had missing shingles, loose shingles, the area near the chimney was not stable (I had a prior roof leak there approximately 10-15 years ago).

He quoted 3 different shingle types:  220lb, 230lb, and 250lb shingle.  After selecting Victors Roofing I emailed our shingle type (we went with 230lb) and color choices to him.  He promptly called and set up a follow up appointment.  We have an unusual situation, the original home owners added a garage after the house was built and the bricks are a completely different color than the house.  Mike brought  full size samples to us and actually climbed back onto the roof so we could view them from the street, he also moved them to the front of our house and garage to see how it would look against  the brick.  That really changed our perspective on our original selections.  We were toggling between 2 different shingles when Mike suggested another shingle to us, and it was PERFECT.  We love the color.  I would not change a thing.  With his assistance we selected Atlas Pinnacle Pristine Shingle, color Pristine Weathered Shadow.  There were no  high-pressure sales tactics and not once did I feel like he was trying to up-sell.  We signed the paperwork!

The next step with working with Sean who scheduled the shingle delivery and installation.  He was very professional and easy to work with.  The delivery and installation happened pretty quickly after that.  He was my point of contact with questions and he always answered his phone.

The work crew arrived as scheduled, on the dot!  Vladimir and his team were very fast and professional; everything went as it was explained to us.  Seriously, the yard was spotless when they left, I walked around looking for nails and debris and only found 2 nails to date.  I have dogs and kids so that was a concern.  They did a great job!  The next day the gutter team arrived, I was not home at the time but was told it went very quickly and professionally and the gutters look great!

Victors Roofing has great follow-up.  Sean came by and spoke to us, went up on the roof and inspected all of the work that was done.  Mike also made a follow-up call to us to see if we were satisfied with the installation.

I would like to get siding some day and will definitely contact them without hesitation to get a quote when I am ready.

    Choice Home Improvement
Our house was in obvious need of new shingles. It was "waving" at us when we looked from afar and the gutters, even though they were cleaned and relatively free of debris, overflowed in spots creating waterfalls before the water could reach the downspouts. The hard winter we had this past year also left many shingles in our and our neighbors' yards.
We received a quote which was fair and a very honest evaluation from the owner, Paul, of what was anticipated over and above the original quote in regards to boards requiring replacement. As I mentioned, our roof was in obvious bad shape and they explained before we even made a down payment on the quoted price that determining exactly how many boards required being replaced was not possible until they began the tear off. The end price, though more than quoted because of the large number of boards that required replacement which we were shown during the tear off, was not a surprise.
The roofing crew was awesome. They answered all my inquiries, were polite, quick, and very clean. Within a half day they tore off shingles, replaced many boards, re-shingled my roof, and cleaned up fantastically. Most of them smoked and there was only a couple of butts located. I mentioned to one of the crew about my concern about butts and he said they are very aware of that and dispose of them elsewhere - definitely not in the yard. The afterward discovery of nails and such was so minimal. I'd say maybe we found 20 strays. Not bad when they removed an entire roof containing probably thousands! We even took a metal nail roller in the street where the dumpster was and didn't find one.
The gutters were installed a day later and the crew was just as polite, clean, and swift as the roofers. I had a badly placed old gutter, mentioned to them about it, and they worked it so that the new ones are placed perfectly.

    All Type Builders LLC
We hired All Type builders to
    - tear off the existing roof  on both the house and detached garage
    - install new shingles
    - repair the soffit fascia board
    - install new gutters, downspouts and gutter guards
Their price was very competitive and Dennis was extremely professional.    The work was delayed initially due to an extended period of heavy rain and some delays on the city's side in issuing the permits.   But when the work started the roof was completed in one day and the gutters the next.   The crew was professional, friendly and courteous.
I would rate them with all 'A's except for one issue.   About 4 days after the roof was completed, we got some heavy rain.   That exposed a leak around the exhaust vent for the bathroom.   We notified them of the issue outside of normal business hours (we left a message) and they responded almost immediately (within 20 minutes).   They had a crew out to the house again first thing the next morning to re-install the exhaust vent cover, fix the leak and repair the damage to the bathroom ceiling drywall and the vent fan.   They were profusely apologetic and extremely professional in responding to and fixing the issue.
I understand that sometimes things don't go to plan. The true measure of a company is how they respond when things go sideways.   In this case, I couldn't ask for a better response.   Except for that, the work was professionally done and of high quality.   We would definitely hire them again.

    Kearns Brothers Inc
After finding some roof issues on the house we had just puchased a couple months earlier we called Kearns Brothers to come out and evaluate the situation.Michael Baker a Kearns Brothers sales rep. called and said he would be out the next day to do a complete roof inspection. After Michael did the inspection he went back and worked up a quote for us.The next night at 7:00 pm after I got home from work Michael came out and went over everything that he found.Michael had even taken a video for us to see everything that he found while up on the roof and in the attic. After Michael explained everything to us and all of our options we decided to have Kearns Brothers do a roof tearoff and new roof installation, Before doing the roof the crew removed a fireplace stack going thru the roof that we did not want. They later sent a painter to patch the drywall and repaint the ceiling. After he was done you could not tell there was a hole there before. On the morning of the roof replacement several workers showed up and they had the old roof ripped off in 2 hours.Three hours later Michael was sending me photos of the new roof to my work e-mail.The workers did a good job of cleaning up after they were done. This is when the last worker leaving our backyard left the gate open. Not knowing this my girlfriend let our dog out in the backyard. After about 20 minutes she went to let the dog in and found out the dog had wondered out of our yard and was nowhere to be found.Long story short the dog got into some chicken bones down the street and got one lodged in the back of her throat. After she came home we had to rush her to the vet.Michael called after learning of this and stated that Kearns Brothers would pick up the vet bill witch was 368.00.I think that speaks very highly of Kearns Brothers. While Michael was doing the inspection in the attic he recommended we blow in some more insulation to bring it up to R-49 value. The crew that came out to do the insulation was very good and cleaned up after they were done. After we had the roof and upper trim done we decided to have the trim around the windows and doors done also. Dave and the crew that did the trim, soffit and siding were also very good. After removing the old aluminum trim around the front picture window there were some wood issues and they brought out some new wood and replaced it all before putting the new trim on.The crew that did the gutters and gutter guards also did a good job,We are very happy with everything that Kearns Brothers did to our house and garage.Throughout the whole time of doing all of this work Michael Baker was in touch with us to make sure everything was going well and on schedule.Michael would also visit our house on the days that the workers were there doing work to see if they needed anything or if they were having any issues,If you needed to get ahold of Michael you just had to call Kearns Brothers and if he was not in the office they paged him and he would call you back shortly there after. We our going to have some mortar work done in the spring and I will call Kearns Brothers to do that also.
