    Motor City Builders
Motor City helped us transform a lake front cottage into a family home. 900 Sqft of addition were added to the existing home. ~75% of the existing structure was demolished and rebuilt. The job required a lot of ingenuity and creativity. Dave and his crew helped us from the design phase through the building process making necessary adjustments through the life of the project. Communication was always open and honest and we are very happy with the quality of work.

    Element Roofing LLC
We decided to work with Element Roofing because they are a local chamber member like we are. We have hired crews in the past, but felt that going with a quality, skilled and licensed company might help step up our game and it did. We work with Matt Hilton and he is VERY responsive and always puts our customers needs first. This is an example of the amazing project managers that Element Roofing hires and why we will continue to share work with them.

    Werth Roofing
As this company had replaced my roof a few years ago and I was VERY satisfied, I called them again for new gutters. I am an older woman and cannot get them cleaned out very well. Mr. Werth came out personally, gave me an estimate and had new gutters, downspouts and leaf guards installed within just a few days. They look great and no more climbing ladders to clean out leaves. I am so happy and glad I called him again for great service!

    Timbercrest Roofing and Siding
Everything went very smooth. Korbyn walked me through the process of dealing with insurance, their roofers were very hard working and did a great job cleaning up. Their shingles and material quality are superior and they changed my attic ventilation to a ridge vent at my request and no extra cost to me. I'd recommend them anytime

    All Weather Seal Co Inc
We absolutely love the way our home has turned out. We were able to truly make our home our own through the different color and style choices available. I have attached several before and after pictures to show the new windows, door, and siding we chose.

    Affordable Exteriors, LLC
Affordable Exteriors did an excellent job. I hired Affordable Exteriors on April 13, 2017. They started the job on April 14th, and worked throughout the holiday weekend. They were courteous and respectful. The job was completed timely. There was no debris as they cleaned the area during and after the job was completed. The price was very reasonable. I was extremely pleased with the work performed and I highly recommend Affordable Exteriors.

    Andy's Roofing
There was a short delay due to tech. problems with a previous job but once Andy's Roofing started the job, they completed the reconstruction and roofing, plus door installation, in less than four days.  They even trimmed tree overhang that might interfere with the roof.

    R & B Contractors
He removed a soffit and replaced with one that is not square. He tried to pass off a popcorn ceiling off as knockdown and when he moved some electrical switches and plugs one switch had to be on for two others to work. Also broke a glass top stove when he placed his knee on it. Major no no. Cost 900 to replace and fortunately I owed him money or that would never have been replaced. Owner tries hard but just doesn't have correct skill set for this work. I would not let this person back in my house for any jobs.

    A A Aluminum Specialties
Patrick, the service representative, was courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable about his line of work. In addition, I was quite impressed by his demeanor and work ethic, as he went the extra mile in completing a couple of minor repairs. The price was excellent, as a couple of other local companies quoted me a price that was double what AA Aluminum charged. Since AA Aluminum is a small business (which I always try to support) I had to wait a little while to have the services performed, but it was well worth the wait.

    Motor City Builders
Dave & team built me a two car detached garage on new concrete, complete except no insulation and no electricity per my preference, plus he replaced about a thousand square feet of old concrete driveway. The project was slow getting started because of Fall rain and wind, but once underway it went quickly and well. I like the quality of the actual construction. Dave is easy to work with and seems to know his stuff. His initial quote, without the driveway work, was higher than another contractor, but I chose him because of his reviews here and something negative I heard about the other guy. The construction work by itself would have gotten an "A". The "C" overall grade is because the various trucks, particularly the heavy readymix truck and the roofing materials hoist truck, drove across and parked on the soft lawn to access the construction location, instead of accessing it from the driveway. This resulted in about a thousand square feet of deeply rutted mud where nice flat lawn had been. Dave didn't mention that that was the plan, and I didn't realize I needed to ask. His assumption per our after-the-fact discussion was that I would have known I'd have to have that area filled, graded and re-sodded at my own expense next Spring. I wasn't happy with that aspect of the outcome when he said he was done. After he initially proposed that we would split the cost of having it fixed, Dave agreed to bring in fill dirt and smooth out the area at his cost. Getting it actually level after the new dirt settles, and seeding or sodding it, and all the work to eventually get it to a good smooth lawn again will be my problem. I understand that after the lawn damage was done and the work to fix it wasn't in Dave's quote, there wasn't anything good for him to do about it. It was too late in the Fall to fix it beyond what he offered to do, and did at his expense. I just wish that I'd known up front that he planned that access for the trucks. I might have changed my mind about whether having the garage built was a good idea. It was an unfortunate problem, because other than the lawn issue everything about the job, from estimate interactions to build quality to construction cleanup, went very well.
