    Discount Drain Cleaning
Work was done in reasonable time. The tech cleaned the drain and made sure is was clear be he left. Price was very fair. Better than the quote given over the phone. Was given a warranty for the work also. If needed will call them again.

    Superior Sewer & Drain Cleaning
Today is June 6, 2017. I just tried calling to hire this company and the voicemail says that they are no longer in business and not accepting any jobs. Just wanted others to know this so that they don't waste time calling them.

We called on a Sunday (holiday weekend) and were told it would not cost extra for a Sunday service call, and they would arrive within one hour.  They arrived and finished the job before the hour was up.  The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and left no mess.  He even gave us a senior discount off the regular fee price.

Root-A-Way Drain Cleaning Of Genesee County LLC
When we get a lot of rain, like we did, my basement floor drain tends to flood. Thankfully not with sewage but rain water from tile system. I called the Rootaway number and got the answering service. I was told the call would be dispatched at 8:30am (not a 24 HR. Operation) but did not hear back from anyone by 11am. Called number again and guy apologized and gave me two other numbers to call. First number was disconnected but second number (main business number?) worked fine. They again apologized for the inconvenience and sent someone over right away. Chris L. showed up promptly, and although had some equipment Issues, he was able to snake the drain and clear away roots. Took about an hour and a half which he explained was not the norm but due to the equipment issue. I had no issues with the time frame. I was just happy my problem was resolved and the water drained out before causing any major damage. Chris did such a great job that I had him come back and do the laundry drain! All in all, good experience.

    DEPENDABLE SEWER SERVICE
Absolutely the BEST service anyone could ask for!!!  We called mid-morning on a Sunday with no expectations of service until Monday, but were so pleasantly surprised that someone showed up within 2 hours of our call.  VERY friendly, knowledgeable and had the best attitude anyone could ask for on a Sunday afternoon dealing with a clogged sewer line.  He ran the line twice, about 80 feet, changing to a bigger one on the second run, and being new owners of this older home were so relieved to be told that no other major issues came up.  We will likely need to have this service done again for maintenance, and will definitely be calling these guys again!!

    American Sewer Cleaners
The kitchen drain had been gurgling for a few days, which is somewhat common, but on this particular day it stopped while I was doing dishes, and the drain actually backed up into the rinse sink. YUCK! At first I thought about just getting some drain cleaner but figured I'd check out the basement, just in case something worse was happening. Well, when I got to the downstairs bathroom the toilet was absolutely full of SEWER YUCKITY STUFF! to the point of slightly overflowing onto the concrete floor. I knew instantly that I needed to call American Sewer Cleaners, the company we have used for well over 1.5 decades.
Charles arrived about 10 minutes before the dispatcher said he would get here, and got right to work. While he is not real talkative he is friendly, courteous and professional. He was efficient with his time and thorough in his work, doing a very good job. He didn't even allow the roots he got from the sewer to get onto the floor by the access hole!
There is a reason we have used American Sewer Cleaners exclusively for so long - because they are quick, courteous, professional, and priced fairly. Their men always go farther than the obvious clogs, all the way to the main sewer at the street. We will continue using this company for as long as I own this house.

    American Sewer Cleaners
I was doing dishes in the kitchen sink again when I noticed that the drain seemed to be gurgling a little bit louder than before. So, after checking the basement toilet for backflow - of which there was none - I called American Sewer Cleaners again to come check it out. Charles arrived almost to the minute of when the dispatcher said he would be here. After checking out the drains and how they drained, he advised that there doesn't seem to be any problem at this point. Again, while not real talkative he was courteous and professional.
After taking his time to check things out to his satisfaction, and explaining the situation to me to my satisfaction, he left without charging. I appreciate his ability to quickly assess the situation and make a solid judgment call on what if anything needs to be done.
I will only use American Sewer Cleaners as long as I own this house.

    Plumbing Professors
Do NOT hire these charlatans. They give exorbitant price quotes and recommend unnecessary work. As another reviewer posted, this is for the Flint, MI area, but if this is how the company operates in general, it's best to steer clear. Ive had problems every few years with roots in the sewer line and have had various plumbing companies clear the lines. The last time was 3 years ago by this contractor, and they recommended a sleeve or lining of some kind to prevent further issues.  I don't recall the amount they quoted at that time, but it was less than 1-2 grand. We decided to pursue this possibility due to some remodeling we are doing now, and instead of doing my usual due diligence in getting several estimates, I called the same company. The technician arrived, and I (stupidly) told him we'd be "good to go" on whatever would be necessary to prevent further issues. The technician himself seemed like a decent young man, who, from his demeanor, seemed to be under pressure from his boss to push unnecessary and expensive service and use scare tactics. The technician did a camera inspection and then told me we were in "imminent danger" of having a "huge problem".  The former quote and fix was no longer feasible, and some "tiles had collapsed" and since you "can't trust the city to take care of this kind of thing right",  what he recommended was a line replacement from the collapse to the road (not even the whole line) and excavation costing nearly 10 GRAND because if it "went bad", it would cost over 15 grand. I said NO WAY, and he proceeded to tell me he'd "talk to his boss", then he said he could lower the price about a grand.  Still nope. The price then continued to decrease incrementally by several thousand dollars until the final quote of between 3-4 thousand for the basic "necessities" to prevent total disaster, and he could start tomorrow. That right there is a huge red flag saying rip off.  I did authorize water jetting to clean out the line and current roots as well as pay for the dispatch fee and camera inspection (total of $809.00).  The original quote for this was $600.00 for 2 hours of work, but would require an additional $200.00 for any more time which he "just may need because of how bad it was".  In the interim, I called my township and a friend who is a builder and asked for his recommendation on a plumbing/excavating company.  I spoke to the person who was referred to me, and he said the above was 100% bulls*#, and he said worse case scenario, with the age and distance of my house to the road, even if we had the whole thing replaced it would be no more than 2 grand.  Plumbing Professors came out today to perform the water jetting and I told the tech he was NOT authorized to go one penny over the $600.00 and that I had talked to the township, etc. ...hallelujah!!...fairies must have come and repaired the dismal state of my sewer, because he said the line looked good, cleaned up fine and he guaranteed no backups due to roots for 2 years. He also changed his tune and said he saw no reason to spend thousands on a liner and things should be good for a couple years and to call them back because they were "familiar" with our house and they'd fix us up. Yeah, when H*** freezes over. This was 2 days after he was ready to start tearing up my yard and replace lines, etc because it was "really bad".

Needed emergency plumbing service at 8pm on a Sunday night.  They didn't have anyone available, but "Holly" kindly gave us the name of a competitor that she "knew would have someone who can help". They did.

Stated they had 24/7 and emergency service. Called at 8pm on a Sunday for water back up in basement from sewer. They stated they were "done for the night" and the office wouldn't be open until the am.
