Home Security System reviews in Flint

Terrible awful brutal experiences. Installer incorrectly installed causing numerous false alarms and inability for panel to updated correctly. After 6 months the panel no longer responds to communication from Vivint app. Unable to remotely disarm or arm system. Numerous calls to Vivint have led to more frustration, Vivint no longer has service technician working in my area. They told they are looking to hire and train someone. Meanwhile my system is not functioning properly!

    Citizens Statewide Security Inc
It was fine, though alarm calls were sometimes slow (5-10 mins after alarm went off). When we were selling the house a couple years later, the company called me three times asking who the new owners were and would we give them their contact info, which we would not share. A couple weeks after the house was sold we received a letter demanding $150 settlement for the equipment we paid for and sold with the house. The company also sent someone to that house and harassed them!! In response to their settlement letter we sent copies of our paid contract and purchases receipts, to which they responded with a nasty, unprofessional note demanding $750. We were completely shocked. We had a pristine customer record, paid in full on every purchase upon receipt, never late on monthly monitoring fees. This company is shady, and we strongly discourage others from purchasing their security products or monitoring contract.

All American Lock & Key Inc
Ron, arrived the same morning we called.  He recommended we replace the chambers rather than all the hardware and stated we had quality locks already. This saved us probably $100. We would definitely use him again.

They provided me with the equipment in a timely manner. The only problem is that you have to pay for the service right away. I have not had the chance to installation the system myself since I purchased the equipment but they want be to pay a monthly monitoring fee when they are not monitoring anything for me yet.

    AccuDry Inc
The Accu-Dry folks were great. They came very quickly. They laid out our various options, from just water removal to the full treatment including the dehumidifiers, mold prevention, etc. We were not going to be able to afford to pay out of pocket, but the technician suggested we check with our insurance to see if we had a rider on our policy. Turns out we did and hadn't even realized it! So we were able to get the full package and get the basement properly treated. All the employees were friendly and professional. We were very pleased with their service. We would recommend them to anyone.

    SimpliSafe Home Security
I purchased a self install security from them. I considered the come-ons from other companies initially. Their freebies sounded good until you actually looked at what you were getting plus you were locked into a 2-year service contract. The actual equipment they were offering "free" would not have been sufficient for our home and we would have had to purchase a lot of add-ons. While I had not heard of SimpliSafe before the reviews of SimpliSafe were good and I liked their online web site. No contracts. No nonsense. Money back guarantee if you were not satisfied. I could buy exactly what I needed. I did order an additional alarm and 2 more door monitors for the garage door access and also the storage barn after doing the original installation. Wireless installation was as simple and easy as promised. We have the monthly monitoring service for $14.99. When the alarm has been accidentally set off they are in immediate telephone contact with us. My wife likes the system, too. It makes her feel more secure at night. All in all we are very pleased with the system. SimpliSafe delivered exactly what it promised.

SERVPRO of Fenton / SERVPRO of Northwest Genesee C
They did an amazing job, I think it would take days and they came in and they were very compassionate like when you're trying to throw stuff away, but they were great group of guys. When I first called them because I didn't realize that they couldn't take the water out, I thought that they did everything. And he said as soon as you get the sump pump fixed he said give us another call. The next morning, they even called me, they keep calling me and checking back with me. It wasn't even that I had to back down and they had big fans and the engine humidifier and they would check, I think the fan runs 3 days. Everything that they said that's going to happen, they said we're gonna do this and we're gonna do this, it was a real comfort to me that they would call me to see how things are going rather than me having to get in touch with them. The damage was not structural, it was the washer, dryer, treadmill and furnace.

Their services went fine. They were prompt. I felt that they knew what they were doing. They did a good job and they were in out fast. My overall experience with them went very well. Their price was reasonable.

All American Lock & Key Inc
I was locked out of my car and was told by the business that I was at that they had used All American Lock and Key. I called a few other companies to see how much it would cost and when they told me about All American, the man that answered quoted me a price that was less than the others. He was there in less than 15 minutes, had to make a chip key, which I did not realize newer cars have and they have to be programmed. He was very professional, very nice and polite. He made me a key and I was on the road in 20 minutes after he got there. Very good company....I learned that he was the owner and had been in busness for 20+ years...can't remember exactly. Highly satisfied.

    Atlantic Coast Waterproofing Inc
Water leaks into our garage which is a cement block construction. We are on a hill that ends at the Flint River. There is a golf course that acts as flood control at the bottom of our street but we are 3/4 of the way up the hill. This spring was very wet and I had to squeegee water out of the garage 8 times. I called to see what a basement waterproofing system might do given that the garage is slightly below grade. Water also comes into the house, also cement block construction.  The representative from Atlantic Coast was the original owner who has retired but helps with estimates when they are busy. He was very knowledgeable and proud of the business and their reputation. He spent much of the two hours he was in our home impressing us with his business success. When it got to our job, he recommended putting in two sump pumps (one for the garage and one for the house) and installing a multi level drainage system. I had two issues. First was the cost. His initial estimate was $8,000 plus which he lowered to $6200 by (he said) giving up his commission and giving us a discount because they had another job in our area coming up in two weeks.  The second problem  was the "hard sell" approach. He wanted me to sign an agreement that day in order to secure the price he was quoting. He added a hand written note stating it was contingent upon my husband's approval because he did not want to have to return another day just to get a signature. Since it was not binding, I signed it.  I called the next day to tell him that we were not going to move forward and that I had discovered that water came into the house under the door and not through the foundation as previously thought. He called back to lower  the price by $1400 since the second pump would not be needed but that price was only good for 24 hours. I declined.
