Culp Electric will not give you the sense that they listen to your goals for your project. My sense is that they work better for industrial scale projects than residential. They know what you want and are willing to tell you why you're wrong. At the end of the day, you don't really need to understand why. My experience will reliably report for work if called by your general contractor, but it will be an effort for your contractor. Don't expect them to respond with more than a text or returned phone call if you ask them to come in and do small work like installing a new plug. This will be done entirely at Culp's convenience. We provided a work list (renovation requirements and an odd jobs list) in March 2018 our renovation was done in May 2018. Our last item on the odd jobs list (a floor plug) wasn't installed until September 2018. This is 6 months total with the last 3 months waiting for just the plug. Our door bell still isn't working satisfactorily. The bill, however, showed up 3 weeks after part of the job was completed and over the next 5 weeks after the bill arrived they have contacted us no less than 7 times for payment. The due date for the invoice was listed as 4 months before the invoice was sent. We will pay the full bill in 6 six months - the same time it took to do the job. Incidentally, the bill was not itemized by cost and it did not list hours worked and he wanted the check made out to Steve Culp - not the company. Not sure what that means for tax purposes. Since our experience with Culp Electric we've done some of our own investigation. It seems that Steve has a reputation among general contractors for not reliably showing up and for gouging clients that have a higher income. Our bill is shown in the attached photo graphs. We worked with Steve in the past because of his association with with Best Way Builders. Steve is Best Way's preferred electrician. It won't happen again. We understand that we didn't ask for an estimate. In the past, we didn't need one.

Part of the repairs were taken care of with our homeowners insurance, then we wanted some updates to items not affected by the water. We are thrilled with how our kitchen looks. Matt and his workers were fantastic. They were dedicated to doing a top notch job. They always let us know what time they were coming and were always on time. They worked hard the entire time they were here. Each person was very friendly and helpful and willing to answer questions and give advice.

This was a very large job and it went extremely well. All of my ideas were incorporated when at all feasible. There was mutual respect and courtesy. The atmosphere was professional but, friendly. This was important to me when having contractors in my home for several weeks. The finished project went well beyond my expectations. It really has to be seen to be believed, because it looks that beautiful.

    Berlin Electric
Came to do the work three weeks later than originally scheduled. Worked morning tracing wires, pulled off wall boards and ceiling and then just quit and left stating it was more work than he expected and he had a client who paid $10,000 weekly that he needed to work for.

Gregg was very responsive in communicating with me. Other companies I contacted took much longer to respond, if at all. Gregg came out for a free estimate and his quote was very competitive. He was personable and did the job right, and at fair price.

    DM Burr Heating & Cooling
I recently obtained the services of DM Burr to install four exterior lights. The two electricians Mark and Mike more than exceeded my expectations. They were polite, courteous, knowledgable and professional. The lights look amazing! I will definitely use DM Burr again, and highly recommend to others!

This is a follow up to our initial review.  The work was completed just before Thanksgiving and we love the new kitchen.  Ryan and Matt were terrific; very professional, polite, personable and easy to get along with.  Job site was cleaned up every day!  Dave Poirier, the owner, stopped by every day to check on the progress and to answer any questions we had about what was being done.  Had a few snags along the way but everything turned out great.  The job did take a little longer than planned because the cabinet supplier had sent the wrong (or even forget a couple) cabinets and we had to wait for those to come in.

Dave estimated about six weeks for completion and without the snafu of the cabinets, which made the granite installation delayed, it would have been on point.  With the farm sink, granite surface, backsplash and the two tone cabinets and wood flooring, the kitchen turn out just beautiful.  The dining room was a total oldie.  We had the paneling removed, refinished and painted all surfaces and installed a chair rail,  installed radiate heat and wood floors.  Completely different room now.  In half bath, removed old tile, installed radiate heat and the wood-look ceramic tile to match the dining room and kitchen.

    Quality One Electric
The owner Joe Fleckenstein and his son arrived on time and immediately went to work. They disconnected the power to the house and removed the old, frayed wiring to the meter and service panel. They installed a new PVC weatherhead and conduit to a new meter box along with new wiring from the service drop. They installed a new 100 amp service panel and reattached existing wiring to new circuit breakers. The job from start to finish took only 5 hours! Both Joe and his son were 100% professional at all times and Joe answered all my questions and offered helpful advice when asked. I can highly recommend Joe and his company to anybody looking for a reputable electrician.

    Husband For A Day Inc
The details begin with the call for information which lead to making an appointment.  Everything was explained to me; pricing and expectations. The evening prior to the appointment, I was called to go over my list of handyman to dos.
The crew (2), Matt and Wade, arrived on time and quickly went over the list and went about the work, delegating amongst themselves, the course of  the work detail. Matt had to go to Lowe's to pick up things that I had not in order to complete the kitchen light project.  He was very exact, asking questions as he went along to make sure the placing of the fixtures was correct.
Wade went about his work quietly, pleasantly, effectiently, and neatly.  He did the plumbing work, hung the picture, bathroom fixtures and assisted with the kitchen lighting.
When Matt attempted to reprogram the remote for my bedroom fan, he found that the fan was installed improperly. Citing how it should have been installed improperly. Matt gave me a stern warning of the  danger and that the fan could EASLY FALL, potentially, causing physical harm!!!!!  Thanks Matt!!!!!!!!!!
I will make another appointment for Matt and Wade to return and properly install the fan and to look at my leaking roof.
