    Motor City Builders
Motor City helped us transform a lake front cottage into a family home. 900 Sqft of addition were added to the existing home. ~75% of the existing structure was demolished and rebuilt. The job required a lot of ingenuity and creativity. Dave and his crew helped us from the design phase through the building process making necessary adjustments through the life of the project. Communication was always open and honest and we are very happy with the quality of work.

We absolutely love the way our home has turned out. We were able to truly make our home our own through the different color and style choices available. I have attached several before and after pictures to show the new windows, door, and siding we chose.

It was fine, though alarm calls were sometimes slow (5-10 mins after alarm went off). When we were selling the house a couple years later, the company called me three times asking who the new owners were and would we give them their contact info, which we would not share. A couple weeks after the house was sold we received a letter demanding $150 settlement for the equipment we paid for and sold with the house. The company also sent someone to that house and harassed them!! In response to their settlement letter we sent copies of our paid contract and purchases receipts, to which they responded with a nasty, unprofessional note demanding $750. We were completely shocked. We had a pristine customer record, paid in full on every purchase upon receipt, never late on monthly monitoring fees. This company is shady, and we strongly discourage others from purchasing their security products or monitoring contract.

    MID-LAKES GARAGE DOORS
Our house had been banked owned when we purchased it, so there were not any remotes for the garage door and it had been rigged to work because the wiring was going bad. Once it was determined we needed a new motor/unit, he came in and worked with our home warranty company to get a replacement. Great service and excellent follow-up; will definitely use again!

    All Weather Seal Co Inc
From the day Mac came to our house to explain options and clarify the process and price, we were sold and convinced that using All-Weather Seal was the best option to meet our needs.  Even after the initial order we requested a few minor changes and he was very accommodating.  In fact, as we placed the order over Labor Day Weekend, he even came to my work place to pick up the check we made and finish all details for the order.  After we finished the order when we finalized changes, Mac came back to my office to sign the contract again with requested changes.  He always accommodated our needs and our work and after-work schedules of my wife and me.  Just about the time we were going to call All-Weather Seal about the installation of the windows, sure enough Mac called again and let me know I would  be hearing from the installers about setting up a date/day/time to do the work.  One of the staff came to do one final measurement of all the windows and within a few days the installers came to our home on a Saturday to remove our old windows and install the new ones.  They were on time and prompt in their arrival.  They were respectful of our home and took care to make sure everything was done properly with the installation throughout the day.  As they worked they cleaned up what was not needed any more, then left the area in front of our home spotless as if they had never been there and the new windows had always been in place.  We were totally impressed with the entire process, the price and the work ethic, honesty and workmanship of all involved.  While we did not have a budget to do ALL the windows at this time for our entire house, we would contact All-Weather Seal in a minute if and when we are interested or able to install other windows or doors in our home.

    S&B RENOVATIONS AND REMODELING LLC
This was a very large job and it went extremely well. All of my ideas were incorporated when at all feasible. There was mutual respect and courtesy. The atmosphere was professional but, friendly. This was important to me when having contractors in my home for several weeks. The finished project went well beyond my expectations. It really has to be seen to be believed, because it looks that beautiful.

    A A Aluminum Specialties
Patrick, the service representative, was courteous, professional and extremely knowledgeable about his line of work. In addition, I was quite impressed by his demeanor and work ethic, as he went the extra mile in completing a couple of minor repairs. The price was excellent, as a couple of other local companies quoted me a price that was double what AA Aluminum charged. Since AA Aluminum is a small business (which I always try to support) I had to wait a little while to have the services performed, but it was well worth the wait.

    Motor City Builders
Dave & team built me a two car detached garage on new concrete, complete except no insulation and no electricity per my preference, plus he replaced about a thousand square feet of old concrete driveway. The project was slow getting started because of Fall rain and wind, but once underway it went quickly and well. I like the quality of the actual construction. Dave is easy to work with and seems to know his stuff. His initial quote, without the driveway work, was higher than another contractor, but I chose him because of his reviews here and something negative I heard about the other guy. The construction work by itself would have gotten an "A". The "C" overall grade is because the various trucks, particularly the heavy readymix truck and the roofing materials hoist truck, drove across and parked on the soft lawn to access the construction location, instead of accessing it from the driveway. This resulted in about a thousand square feet of deeply rutted mud where nice flat lawn had been. Dave didn't mention that that was the plan, and I didn't realize I needed to ask. His assumption per our after-the-fact discussion was that I would have known I'd have to have that area filled, graded and re-sodded at my own expense next Spring. I wasn't happy with that aspect of the outcome when he said he was done. After he initially proposed that we would split the cost of having it fixed, Dave agreed to bring in fill dirt and smooth out the area at his cost. Getting it actually level after the new dirt settles, and seeding or sodding it, and all the work to eventually get it to a good smooth lawn again will be my problem. I understand that after the lawn damage was done and the work to fix it wasn't in Dave's quote, there wasn't anything good for him to do about it. It was too late in the Fall to fix it beyond what he offered to do, and did at his expense. I just wish that I'd known up front that he planned that access for the trucks. I might have changed my mind about whether having the garage built was a good idea. It was an unfortunate problem, because other than the lawn issue everything about the job, from estimate interactions to build quality to construction cleanup, went very well.

    21st Century Windows
I am very happy with the work 21st Century Window has done at my home. I found this company on Angie's List. They installed windows and doors.  They also put on a new roof.  The are doing wonderful work and are currently still working on my home.  I will be using them in the future for siding repair, painting,  and drainage issues that involves concrete work.

The process has been so easy and excellent.  They move like the wind.  They do quality wok and clean up well.  You hardly notice they are there.  The price is excellent and very competitive.  Everything has been great.
