We are so pleased with the work that was performed for our bathroom remodel. Kevin did an AWESOME job in everything he did. He is a perfectionist and wanted to be sure everything was exactly right. Matt was very responsive whenever we had questions and was also very helpful. We would definitely hire them again, hands down! Thank you for a great job!

    LUXURY BATH OF FLINT
I think the project went very well. He came when he said he was going to. The install took longer than expected, but he stayed here all day to finish the job. He cleaned out the spot where I had loose tile. He also had a large new wood board that he cut to reinforce that spot. It was in the corner where the bathtub and wall tiles met. He removed approximately 2 feet square of that corner on both walls. On rest of the tiles that were still solid, he prepared the wall for the plastic sheets to go on top of them. He removed the old faucet fixtures and shower head, which both were probably over 40 years old. I had new fixtures that I already bought at a home improvement store, and he was able to install all those new up to date fixtures. I even bought a new shower fan, which was slightly bigger than the one I had. My old one was just a fan, but the new one had a light on it as well. He was able to take the old fan out, and put the new one in. However, it was probably the hardest part of the job, because he had to get up into the attic, cut a bigger hole, and then get all the wiring and everything just right, even though I am sure it was frustrating for him, he was able to get it done, and it looks very nice now. I even had help bar, that was installed on the wall, and he was able to remove that, and reinstall it once the new sheets were installed on the wall. He also installed a new towel rack toward the back of the shower, and again it was something I bought previously. The towel bar is nice and straight, and he actually asked me how (which direction and spot) I wanted the help bar reinstalled. He asked me if I wanted a couple of new plastic shelves to hold soap and shampoo, etc. I agreed to that and I couldn't imagine having the shower without them. He put them right where I preferred them to be. Lastly, he put a very good water/mold resistant silicone seal around all the corners where the new sheets went, and I have not had a problem to this day. He cleaned up well after the job, and I have to say that I love my new shower! No regrets.

    July's Construction
From beginning to end this was a great experience. We had our kitchen gutted and completely remodeled. The whole process was seamless. We had a consultation and had some plans drawn up, with some great ideas that we had never even thought about. We went with all the recommendations which included moving the refrigerator, sink and stove and this opened up room for a pantry and removed a small wall which opened the kitchen up nicely. It is a very small kitchen yet we were able to make it seem bigger, and add a pantry (which I have always wanted). We enjoyed Skip, Tim and Tyler and the whole crew. We always knew what was going to happen from day to day, when they would be there and what would be taking place. The result is beautiful and it truly exceeds my expectations. I would recommend July's construction to anyone and will certainly use them in future projects.

    BACHMAN TILE & MARBLE
Sean Bachman did a fantastic job.  We had gutted a bathroom in a 1938 house we bought in 2013, and we decided to replace an old bathtub with a walk-in shower.  We bought a load of Mexican tiles and designed a pretty complicated layout for the room.  Sean is a superb craftsman.  The result is a first-class, absolutely gorgeous bathroom, a showpiece.  We love taking people to see it.  All the touches were wonderful -- how he laid the tile onto the built-in bench, how he beautifully put in a series of multi-colored 1x1 inch borders, how he mitered the corners, how smoothly and geometrically he laid in the decorative tiles.  The room is a work of art, thanks to Sean.  He is awesome.

    July's Construction
I couldn't have asked for any better service.  Tim showed up when he promised, finished ahead of schedule and did an excellent job. He sealed off his work area so it kept the rest of the house clean and he did a wonderful job cleaning up the work area when he was done.  He very was considerate of our home and our two cats.  HIs quote was accurate and he was extremely honest. He was very good at tweaking the design to save us money without sacrificing quality.   This was the third project that July's Construction completed for us and they are the only company I will use in the future.

This is a follow up to our initial review.  The work was completed just before Thanksgiving and we love the new kitchen.  Ryan and Matt were terrific; very professional, polite, personable and easy to get along with.  Job site was cleaned up every day!  Dave Poirier, the owner, stopped by every day to check on the progress and to answer any questions we had about what was being done.  Had a few snags along the way but everything turned out great.  The job did take a little longer than planned because the cabinet supplier had sent the wrong (or even forget a couple) cabinets and we had to wait for those to come in.

Dave estimated about six weeks for completion and without the snafu of the cabinets, which made the granite installation delayed, it would have been on point.  With the farm sink, granite surface, backsplash and the two tone cabinets and wood flooring, the kitchen turn out just beautiful.  The dining room was a total oldie.  We had the paneling removed, refinished and painted all surfaces and installed a chair rail,  installed radiate heat and wood floors.  Completely different room now.  In half bath, removed old tile, installed radiate heat and the wood-look ceramic tile to match the dining room and kitchen.

    Hemby's Carpentry & Home Maintenance
Mark did several small jobs for me in my bathroom; The most difficult one being removing a built into the tile ceramic cup and toothbrush holder. This was painstaking and delicate work as it had to be carefully chipped out so as not to harm the surrounding tiles. He then cleaned out the area and helped me decide on how to best arrange the small glass tiles I had bought to fill in the area in a harmonious way. I was; and am; very pleased with the results. He also replaced my my toilet; and rechaulked my tub and sink.He was very through and efficient. You may have to wait a bit for him to schedule your job because he's in demand; but he's worth the wait.

    Husband For A Day Inc
Team work! - Professionalism! - Genuine Concern! – Expertise! – Personal Pride!  Inexpensive!  These are the attributes that highlight the absolutely outstanding experience that I had with “Husband for a Day” when they remolded my bathroom shower and more.  The experience began after I downloaded the information for “Husband for a Day” from “Angie’s List” and contacted the family owned business. The receptionist asked what problems I was having with the shower and then asked specific questions about what I wanted done and what I expected for a final result.  I then received a call from Dale, the owner, who confirmed the date and time for the estimate. When Dale arrived to do the estimate he was very professional, engaging, and immediately made me feel comfortable about inspecting my shower—a place I was reluctant to ever let anyone see.  I also showed him a problem that I was having with a 30 year old toilet, which we agreed would be better to replace.  The inspection ended with him handing me a business card, exchanging emails, and an assurance that I would have a detailed estimate within three days. Two days later I received an email containing the most detailed estimate I have ever seen from any contractor.  He clearly listened to my concerns and went shopping to price the items to complete the job to my very particular specifications.  I was amazed.  Of the four estimates I commissioned, “Husband for a Day” was the least expensive and most detailed. But this was only the beginning.  Work on my shower began three days later at 9:00 AM sharp.  Chris showed up tools in hand, unpacked supplies, and eagerly began the three day job by demolishing the old tiles, old cement work, and old shower fixtures.  Chirs worked constantly, seriously, and meticulously.  By the end of his eight hour day, the work area was cleaned and secured in preparation for the next day’s work.  This professional work ethic actually went on for three more days. One day was added after Chris’ closer inspection behind the old dry wall indicated that there was not enough circulation in the bathroom to expel shower steam in a proper manner.  He recommended the installation of an overhead fan.  He even recommended several inexpensive and attractive models that included lighting. During installation of the fan Chris also noticed some faulty wiring, which had been contributing to shorts in two electrical outlets for years.  He repaired all.   He also repaired the elbow pipe under my bathroom sink.  So basically, I asked for a shower repair and got my entire bathroom remolded.  And get this the overall price was still lower than the closest estimate from other competitors!  So, why is this so important to me such that I have written this long positive review?  The name of this handyman business says it all—“Husband for a Day”.  Unfortunately I lost my own husband last year and he is no longer here to help with the “honeydos”.  My income is much lower these days, but “Husband for a Day” did NOT take advantage of me financially.  In fact, When Doug came by to inspect the work and accept payment, I was happy to write the check—a fair exchange for professional expertise—I had my own team of four employees.  They showed genuine concern for the plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic concerns I had with my bathroom.  They took personal pride in their work, and they approached everything from a team concept and really made me feel comfortable to have them working in my home for four days.  So, you ladies who need a husband for a day to take care of the “honeydos”—call “Husband for a Day”  You guys who want to watch the game instead of fixing that leaky sink, call “Husband for a Day”!  I think my own level of satisfaction is pretty clearly stated.  Thanks much for being there “Husband for a Day”  and thanks for making yourself available on Angie’s List.  You will certainly hear from me again!
