    Mid-Michigan Appliance Doctor, LLC
I went directly to Angie's list and put in a request for contact. Mark Glasstetter (owner) immediately called me within minutes to talk about my problem with the refrigerator. The fastest service I have ever gotten from a repair person. He assured me my refrigerator would be fine until the next morning. He was at my house early for an 8:00am appointment the next morning. He took him minutes to diagnose and he ordered the part then reassembled my refrigerator so I could use it until the parts came in. The parts were sent over night and the refrigerator working like nothing happened by Wednesday morning. I can't say enough he was clean, professional, honest about the repairs and his appearance reminded me of the repairmen of old with a crisp uniform and he was always early to his appointment time. 250.His prices were very reasonable and his house call price was below that of other places. I will most definitely use him again.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Their customer service was very professional. The proposed scheduled repair date was almost immediate. The problem came with the pricing. They required an $89 service fee that would not go toward the cost of the repair. Their only solution was to offer you their one year service plan for $200 that would cover the repair of all large appliances. I guess this would be okay if my expected repair exceed that amount but a thermocouple costs under $20. The rest would be labor. I had this same repair done by a different company 3 years ago and it cost a little over $100. Because of their service fee, going with Sears would far outweigh the cost of my particular repair. Perhaps with a more serious repair it would be worthwhile.

    Kearsley Appliance Repair Inc
As I stated in a previous review I posted, my initial experience with Kearsley Appliance was with the same refrigerator and a different issue. We were so impressed with the technician, Scott, that we again requested his services on this call. The repair was quick. It is refreshing having such a skilled, personable and professional service person. Scott is respectful, knowledgeable and explained every step and answered all our questions. We have received such great service that I felt I should share our experiences. It's all about customer service if you ask me. Kearsley Appliance delivered for us!

    Thomas Appliance Co
    Excellent !!
I called about my refrigerator not cooling. The freezer part was fine.
The fridge was an average of 52 degrees. Gary came in and found out in the exchanger (not right word) that moves the cold air from the freezer to refrigerator was clogged with ice. After heating it with a blow drier, he thought that would take care of it.
It actually got warmer. He came over the next day at NO CHARGE, spent over an hour here taking apart the fridge. He found another iced up area that he said was unusual. He was sure that was the problem and he was right !!!
Thing is, a year ago I had the same problem. I called a different repair company. He took one look at it and immediately said I needed a part (that exchanger) and charged me almost $400.
Thomas Appliance was honest and didn't "automatically" say it needed parts. Gary took his time to figure out the problem and fixed it. When the first trip didn't work, he came right back and found the problem.
    I HIGHLY recommend Thomas Appliance.

    Carl's Appliance
Technician was very professional, explained everything to me and showed me exactly what he was doing. The refrigerator had stopped cooling, but he had it up and running before he left. Two weeks later though, it stopped cooling again. I called and they sent the technician back out the next morning. He found a switch that needed to be replaced and it is back up and running again.

    Central Water Treatment Softener Service
I had called & visited many places to get parts & advice on rebuilding my own water softener. Tom was the ONLY one who was willing to share his knowledge with me. He even loaned me the special funnel needed to make my project easier. I probably could have bought what I needed cheaper elsewhere, but  Tom (the owner) had everything right there & he even told me how to properly do this project.  Highly recommend this company.

    Daniel's Appliance Repair
The man from Daniel's Appliance Repair is quite a character. He ascertained jobs and said I could do it rather than charge for it himself. In fact, he gave me some parts to help expedite it. Even though he replaced a thermostat or sensor on the dryer, he saw another problem with the way our exhaust was going up from the dryer. He said I needed to change the way it was set up. I had no problem with the price.

    Thomas Appliance Co
They came out to repair the water cooler on my refrigerator and they blew a line and could not make the repair. They came back with a new part and it was the same thing. I would not let him put the part on. They tried but did not try hard enough. I will not call them again. They never got my refrigerator fixed. He made three trips over here. The guy that came and did the work was a nice enough guy and did the best he could with what he had.

    Daniel's Appliance Repair
We called Daniel about a kitchen stove malfunction.  He called back very soon and we had a detailed conversation regarding the issue.  He said that he was going to do some checking regarding part availablity and also regarding the general history of the model involved.  He called us back a day later and said that the problem was most likely a control panel, that the stove was too old to find a replacement part, and that such a part may or may not solve the problem.  He suggested that we could either live with it or replace it, those being the most practical options.
We replaced the stove.  Daniel did not charge us anything for his research and advice.  He could well have made some income by coming to the house, but did not do that.  We were impressed with his knowledge and his generous advice and would use him anytime that we had an appliance problem in the future.
