Remediation after sewer back-up ran into mold. Testing revealed toxic mold. Clean-up re-estimated to include all 3 levels of home. Final testing found no growths in house, whatsoever. (This was private pay, no insurance on rental property. We are the owners.) House in O.P., Mt. We live in Erie, PA.

    Stocks Home Inspection
Darrul was responsive to our calls and was able to move around his schedule to accommodate our needs. He was timely and professional. He was very thorough and spent almost 3 hours to inspect our 3-bedroom, 1-bath home. As he was doing the inspection, he pointed out all of the home's issues while taking photos of each inspection point. He gave us great advice on how we can make improvements to our new home. After the inspection, he sent us a PDF with a full summary of the inspection and included photos. Stock's prices are a little higher than other options in the area, but you get what you pay for! Buying a home is a big investment, so don't cheap out on the inspection.

Greg and his crew were extremely professional, thorough, and timely in providing mold removal in our upstairs closet. We will most definitely utilize their service again in the future if the need arises.

    Milestone Inspections LLC
The other reviewers didn't lie - David is absolutely awesome!  For one, we were in a bit of a time crunch with our seller, so David agreed to come in on his day off (Sunday) to do our inspection.  He was so incredibly thorough with his inspection and took the time to explain all of the home's issues (sometimes even multiple times when I didn't quite understand) and answered all of our questions about the house and how to go about making repairs.  The whole inspection took about 3 hours and the next day we had our full report.  He has a sample of how he writes his reports on his website and the one we received was just as detailed as that one.  I will be recommending him to everyone I know!

    Mold No More, LLC
The call went very good. Adam was very upfront with me about my issue. I may or may not have mold in my house. He told me that he only removes the mold and uses 3rd party companies to test the mold. This is good because it eliminates that conflict of interest of a company saying you have mold and charging you an arm and a leg. He emailed me a list of mold testing companies in the area.
Very honest and very professional. He took the time to talk to me on the phone about my issue even though he knew I was just quoting. If I do find mold I'd definitely go with him.

    Mold No More, LLC
Mold No More came out to my newly-purchased home to take a look at some mold that our home inspector noted in his inspection report. They were a bit difficult to reach by phone to make the initial appointment but did a great job of returning my call. My experience upon the actual mold evaluation was great - the technician was very professional (wore booties inside the house to protect the floors) and extremely knowledgeable. The technician thoroughly explained the process for mold remediation and was honest about our options and the wide range of pricing for these options.  Mold remediation is a potentially time-consuming  and expensive process overall, but I feel confident about recommending Mold No More for fairly-priced, thorough, professional work. I'd definitely trust that they'll do the job right.

    POINT ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC.
First, Point Environmental's prices are far below their competitors. The quote Jerry gave me was less than half of the next lowest quote. If price is a big consideration, you should take a strong look at Point Environmental. However, if safety concerns trump price considerations, you should be aware that the safety measures that were employed at my home seemed rudimentary to me. The workers did not use protective gear. Plastic sheeting was used at the bottom of my basement steps, but the air ducts in the basement were not sealed off or even covered. The workers used floor scrapers to remove the tiles, which surprised me somewhat since that seemed to make the tiles more friable. The job was finished in a day, which I liked. The quality of the work was pretty good overall, but not totally complete - there are still small bits of tile stuck to the floor in places. I am willing to overlook this in light of the low price, but some people may not be. There were a few things I did not like - for example, the workers apparently put tools or tile on top of my brand new freezer. I suppose I could have moved it out of the basement, but I did not expect this to be an issue. The workers also damaged the wood siding around a support column in the basement. I am removing the siding, so this is less of an issue than it could have been. Also, the carpet on the steps leading out of the basement is destroyed. Again, I intend to replace it, but I would be upset if I had not already planned to remove it. At the end of the job, the workers used some sort of floor sealant, which was simply poured on the floor and pooled in several spots. I wish I had been informed ahead of time, as the sealant gave off a fairly strong odor and I have a small baby in the house. I had to mop up some of the pools of sealant with rags because they were quite deep, and it took about 72 hours to dry completely. I found Jerry to be honest and pleasant to deal with. We finessed the scheduling of the job to work for both of us. And again, the price for the work was very good - I could not find anything close in the area, and I did my research. Despite the issues I had, I would use Point Environmental again in the future, but I do feel that prospective customers should be aware of how the work is carried out.
