    Lake Pointe Construction
Very Professional and Quality work! We had 7 companies call back and got 4 estimates. Out of all the companies, the owner Dale and his crew Lake Pointe went above and beyond! Within the first few minutes of meeting Dale it was clear he had the experience and knowledge to give a fair and accurate estimate to the work we would need done, but also knew what was done wrong the first time by the original installers. Our work was done during some record cold temps and his guys still showed up and got the job done! I cant recommend their work enough. If you want professionals that know how to do a job well and affordably without cutting any corners, hire this company!

    JK Home Improvement
My experience was A+ from start to finish with JK Home Improvement. Andy did my quote and answered all my questions. I had four estimates and even though this was not the least expensive I decided to go with this company and I am so happy I did. I could not be happier with the quality of their work. I have had compliments from everyone that sees the house, including other professionals. The crew was fabulous, there were many of them and they all just knew what they were doing and they got it done quickly in spite of the very hot weather. They were so polite and efficient. At the end of the job they used a magnet to make sure there was not even a nail was left on the ground. What a pleasure it was doing business with this company. I highly recommend them.

    Easy Home Improvement
Gasper was friendly and promptly returned my phone calls. He walked me through what they would be doing, showed me pictures for reference, and also gave me their builders license number up front. The employees that came out were also nice and cleaned up when they were done. They did a great job rebuilding my chimney - it looks beautiful and I am very pleased with the end result!

    American Masonry
Words cannot express how frustrated and, to be quite honest, ****** I am at American Masonry and Lou. I could go on and on about THAT, but you don't care about that... you want to know the basic overview. Services requested: re-point/repair the chimney mortar using age-appropriate mortar (on 1925 house, uses different type of mortar than modern builds), replace top 4-5 levels of bricks, replace crown/cap, replace cap hardware, grind off nails/screws/etc in chimney base, seal chimney with protectant. They ended up using a "semi-appropriate" mortar, used either used or defective bricks on the top replacement (they're streaked/colored white now, making our chimney look like patchwork), didn't replace the rear cap cover/hardware, didn't grind off anything from the side of the chimney and I had to REMIND them to do the sealant. In addition, communicating or getting ANY communication from Lou and AM is nigh impossible. Always goes to voicemail, he's not text savvy (when he says he is), doesn't give ANY updates on the work that he's supposed to do or if they need to reschedule and if you have any complaints, he will stop answering the phone... period. If you have any questions or would like me to go ON about how terrible and unprofessional this company is, please feel free to message me directly and I will go on and on for hours on the topic. Do not recommend, stay away, spread the word... American Masonry is a malicious company that should be reported by everyone at every opportunity.

    Disenos Ornamental Iron
Very unprofessional from Diseos. I called to get an estimate to replace my balcony railing. I spoke with Ana. She asked me to send her an email with pictures and detailed measurements, which I did. I got a response from her confirming that she had received my email. I waited few days before emailing her again to see if she has an estimate for me or if she needs anything else. I did not hear back. I tried again few days later, but with no luck. I tried one last time about a week after, with the same result. If you have no interest in doing this job, then at least have the courtesy to say so; there is nothing wrong with saying sorry, but Im not interested in your job.

    Pisani Contracting
I called Gregg late in the season, after the pervious contractor that I hired had abandoned the work. Gregg came to my rescue, and was able to fit me in quickly. Their quality of work was amazing! They were able to rebuild my chimney where you couldnt tell it was rebuilt. The porch, back wall and the decorative brick all look great! Ive never seen anyone matches mortar color so perfectly! They were also punctual, clean and organized. I have to admit that I can be an extremely picky person; I know exactly what I want, so I might not be the easiest customer to work with, but everyone at Pisani Contracting was patient with me; they listened to what I wanted, and executed flawlessly! Thank you Gregg, Larry, DJ, Jeff and Christian. You made my house look beautiful again!

    Somerset Painting & Professional Improvements
Completed flooring looks great. Did a nice job, even around tight spots around the furnace and laundry sink. Matt worked hard and was polite and punctual. Recommended "heavy flake", which, just as he said, did help to cover up spots in the concrete floor that were in poor shape. In addition to epoxy flooring, also had a couple small painting jobs, all which turned out really nice.

This company came highly recommend and their quote was the best of three I received. I signed the contract (no down payment) on April 14th and was told they had a large job and would likely not be able to get me on the schedule until early July and would call once they had an opening. By the end of July, it hadn't occurred to me I never heard from them. A lot can happen in life over 3 1/2 months! Then one day the last week of July, I pulled into my driveway after work and found all of the siding had been stripped off my garage. I assumed it was DG although no one actually called to schedule the installation. It would have been nice to be notified as I was supposed to host a family BBQ that weekend - which I immediately cancelled due to the state of my yard. I called and emailed DG - they responded first thing the next morning and apologized, explaining they had written down the wrong phone number on my contract, left a message on the voicemail of the wrong phone number, and decided to proceed with the work even though they never confirmed it with me. I understand accidents happen, but I cannot believe any contractor would think it's okay to come onto someone's property and begin a major project without discussing it with the homeowner. They hadn't communicated with me for over a quarter year. They could have sent me a letter or dropped one in my mailbox once they realized they had the wrong phone number. But apparently that was too much to ask. A city permit was also never pulled for the work. Who had the time to comply with that? For my trouble, the owner told me he would waive the labor costs for replacing some rotted wood on the garage, but the cost of the lumber would be $300 more than the original estimate. Wow. Ummm... thanks? In the end, the work was done properly and the siding looked good. But I did have to spend 90 minutes with my shop vac cleaning up debris and nails around the perimeter of my garage. When another company roofed my garage (2 layer tear off) six months earlier, I didn't have to clean-up anything... so I know it is possible for a contractor to properly clean-up the work area. I also didn't appreciate the fact that the bulbs in the flood lights on my house had been removed and not replaced. Strongly recommend finding a more professional company to handle your project!

    Somerset Painting & Professional Improvements
I just want to say how fun it was working with Rick, Naomi and Courtney. Everyone was awesome! Our house looks so nice. A neighbor comment on how nice our house looks and that he never noticed the crew. The crew of James Matthews and James, were the right choice for our project and were so professional and attentive to my requests. They already knew what I wanted and worked great together. All our requests were happily fulfilled. All plants were covered and the yard was cleaned up every night when we came home. The detailed contract was well written. We also appreciated the review of paint colors on a picture of our house before we chose a color. This is an additional feature at Somerset that you don't find at a lot of painting companies. It really helps to see how the paint goes with the roof and brick work on your house. It's the only way to choose a house color! Thank you Naomi and Courtney for your hard work in this area. Thanks to everyone at Somerset - I will highly recommend Somerset Painting to anyone!!

    Easy Home Improvement
I couldn't be happier with my experience with Easy Home Improvement. I would highly recommend them to all my friends, neighbors, and fellow Angie's List-ers. Mickey came out to give me an estimate within a day or so of my original call. He answered all my questions and helped me understand what to expect. (This was a pleasant contrast from another company that simply dropped an estimate in my mailbox. I wasn't sure that company understood what I was wanting and I didn't know what exactly they were planning to do, so I wasn't comfortable moving forward with them even though their price was a bit lower.) Then Don and Mickey came back to perform the repairs. They showed me the work in progress at a couple of points, and I appreciated them keeping me informed along the way. All the work was completed in one day, and I was simply awed by the final product. It turned out beautifully, with the brick on my porch looking good as new. They aligned the new brick seamlessly with the original brick on the main house structure and matched the "bark face" texture perfectly in a complementary color. They removed and hauled away all the old brick and debris, and replaced the dirt and mulch in the surrounding flowerbeds.
