  • It?s all under my warranty. I did have a small cost for it. The factory warranty was out, but I had an additional warranty. I think because they had to do that and a few other things, I think it was around $400. They are great. Any time you are talking BMW Mini, any of that, you are talking pricey. They are pricey, but you sort of know that when you buy the car. I have never had any problems.

They are very good about responsiveness. One of the guys that was a service rep is now in sales. When I bought my second Mini, I bought it from him. We became friends because I have been dealing with him for years. They are always really good. If they figure the job is going to take longer, they set you up with a loaner right away. Right at the appointment time, they will set you up. When they know the car has got to come in and have certain things, they will said, ?my next day I have and we will give you a loaner!? Then you just get a loaner and it?s free.

  • Between the two of us, we leased or bought probably half a dozen cars from them over the years. The price seemed like everybody else's. It didn't seem to be outrageous or hardly any different than anybody else's. It was luck that I happen to be in a location that was handy and they've always done really well with the cars. I took both cars there for a while. They have done good for us so there's no reason not to. Their responsiveness and punctuality are very good. I keep going back to them because of their overall care and concern. They just took very good care of their customers. I used to take my car always to the same service and I asked him for a referral who would be a good salesman to talk to, and we just kept going back to the same people.

  • Chris, the shop manager and Correy, the service technician were both friendly and professional.  Correy took me into their repair area four times to show/discuss the steps he was taking to repair my exhaust system while saving me money.  I appreciated his efforts very much.  I will definitely take my car back there, even for simple oil changes.

  • Both times I had to call them to see when the vehicle would be ready, but the work was top-notch and the price was superb. A good, trustworthy auto place is hard to find, and if I have to be a little pro-active, fine with me.

  • Had gone to Suburban Ford in Ferndale for the Works and coolant flush 2 weeks prior ($175 total).  Creaking when braking and trouble accelerating after I got car back (2008 Ford Escape Hybrid).  Took back to Suburban Ford one week later and told them I was now having issues with car.  They wanted to charge me another $100 just to look at it.  I refused.  Saw Brakes & More had good reviews so decided to give it a shot.  Very happy with service.  Guys seem honest, fixed problems, explained everything clearly to me.   I should have been told about brakes by Suburban Ford since that is included in the price of the Works, but I just won't do business there anymore and will now go to Brakes & More.  I felt price was reasonable.  Keith Bentley worked on my car.  Have already recommended them to neighbor.

  • Here's my story: I am 57 years old whom has recently been unemployed which forced me to voluntarily returned my 2012 Chevy Sonic to the credit union. I purchased a home 1-1/2 years ago which used up most of my money in my 401K. I withdrew my last
$4000 from my 401K to purchase a dependable vehicle until I could get back on my feet. I thought Florida would be a perfect place to purchase a vehicle. I was wrong, thus far I have had to charge over $1100 in repairs just to make this vehicle SAFE for me to drive.
I purchased a 2003 Pontiac Vibe GT from 49th St Auto Sales in Clearwater, FL on 7/27/2013. Unfortunately, I have become a victim a dealer in which it appears has broken many laws.
    False, Misleading or Deceptive
    Advertising: Subsection 320.27(9)(b)3, Florida Statutes
    Emissions tampering,
    Failure to follow the Florida
Motor Vehicle, Mobile Home and Recreational Vehicle Dealers' Handbook
    Handbook. 320.840, F.S,
    501-976(10) Page 91 Section 4
This vehicle was advertised to have 144606 miles and a replacement engine installed, which was advertised as a Toyota Celica GT-S motor.
The engine installed is a 2007 Pontiac Vibe Base Wagon, 4 cylinder, automatic transmission engine. (Vin# 5Y2SL67887608) This has been certified by 2 mechanics and my local GM dealership, whom said this should NOT HAVE been installed in this vehicle. The cost per GM to install the correct engine would be approx $8000.
As a result of the incorrect engine being installed it has created many other issues, such as, emissions tampering, disabling of PCV valve which is not able to be connected to this engine. My safety was at risk, the mechanic failed to attach the axle shaft to engine block nor braced in the center, causing it to pop out of transmission while myself and my daughter were traveling 70 mph on I-75 putting our lives in danger.
I purchased a vehicle I believed to be worth $6000, which is now worth $0. I did have vehicle inspected by a mechanic, Tony Baldomero, my son's ex- friend, the mechanic who installed the engine. (49th St Auto Sales employee) My son and I were told it had only 900 miles on it and it was a safe and reliable vehicle. (installed engine miles per FL VIN Check are 85,870 miles)
They also put a DOHC 16 valve cover on the engine in order to mislead the consumer and a mechanic.
I have been trying to resolve this with the owner, salesman and mechanic for over a week. Their offer has been bring it in and we'll make it right. When asked if they would put in writing what that meant, I am always hung up on. I have solid evidence of all
    these accusations.
I'm only asking reimbursement of $5950.56 which are the following expenses:
$91.99 Allegiant Airlines one-way airfare (Capital One credit card),
$18.00 Baggage Fee (JP Morgan Chase debit),
$4000 Cash Sale Price (JP Morgan Chase withdraw, 7/27/2013),
$43.84 automotive supplies from Advanced Auto (JP Morgan Chase debit, 8/1/2013),
$213.61 Premium unleaded gas (JP Morgan Chase debit 7/31/2013 to 8/05/2013),
$80.42 Lodging at Days Inn Mt Vernon, Ky (Citibank Visa, 8/3/2013),
$31.70 food (Cash and JP Morgan debit, 7/31/2013 to 8/5/2013),
$15.00 Title Fee State of Michigan (cash,
8/29/2013), $8.00 Reg. Transfer Fee State of Michigan (cash,
8/29/2013), $240.00 6% Sales Tax State of Michigan (cash, 8/29/2013),
$654.00 Brake & More Repairs (Citibank Visa 8/22/2013),
$554.00 Riverside Auto Care (unpaid no more funds available, detailed receipt provided).
I have documentation of all these expenses.
I have contacted the Florida Attorney General and sent information to all suggested Departments by a person from their office. Unfortunately, I don't have time to wait for this process to play out. I have plans to move to Florida on November 15th when the Senior Apartments Phase I are completed and I need a vehicle which will safely transport me there.
This dealer, mechanic and owner put my life at risk when they assured me this car was safe to drive!
    Please HELP if you can.

  • They are always polite and efficient.  They are quick.  The one problem we have had in the past is that they used a defective used part that ended up breaking while we were out of town and couldn't take it back to have them fix it.  But we have used them for the tire and brake services many times an they always have done a good job.

  • Did a great job! Very meticulous. This isn't just your run of the mill big box tire reseller aren't done in 15 minutes. No, not only does he inspect first to ensure an alignment would be warranted, but after he makes the initial adjustments, he gets in a drives your car around the shop to see if additional tweeking is necessary. He drove my truck twice before he was satisfied with it. He takes pride in his work, and you know when you leave that your car is probably aligned better than it was coming of the showroom floor. I left feeling good that my truck was serviced well, and that my money went to a hard working local guy.
The shop is no frills - you are not going to have donuts and coffee and watch TV while you wait - so bring something to occupy yourself.

  • I wasn't convinced of this when I thought about this and went back and ask them to explain. They told me they had put it on the rack and the alignment was fine. But to convince and satisfy me, they swapped my Left tire for the right and vice versa. Whoa, the car now pulled to the left and my doubts were gone. They saved me from the rear ball joints when all I wanted to know was why my car was pulling. No longer a doubting Thomas after the tire swap. Now a believer.

  • I took the car in because the breaks were squeaking and I needed other maintenance things done (oil change, tire rotaion, wiper blades etc) The mechanic called me quickly the next day and after looking at my breaks told me they were in good condition. I also asked about my air filter (it's on a 2007 Ford Focus) He took the time to call the dealer and do a little research and told me the filter does not need to be changed until approximately $150,000 miles. (can't remember if that's the exact mileage, but in that range) So I ended up just getting the usual maintenance stuff done. I was very pleased with his honesty, his willingness to look into things he wasn't sure about (the air filter) and the fact that he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. My breaks also stopped squeaking after I took it in. I would definitely take my car there again and would highly recommend this place.
