    ANIMAL ARK
When I came back, my dog was shaved and you could see her skin. She did have a ponytail at the top of her head. I was very disappointed and shocked since I told her I only wanted a trim. She needs to pay more attention to what her clients ask her to do.

    ANIMAL ARK
My dog is 11 and I went to her before that one even. I actually kind of follow this girl around. She has been to 2 or 3 places. She actually used to be Animal Ark, she had her own business. Then she went into business with someone else and that didn't work out so she opened it back up under her own name again, the Animal Ark.
I have a golden retriever with thick, thick hair. What I usually do is go get them completely shaved for the summer so last time I went in there she said she actually had to shave it 3 times to get it all off.
They are friendly. They are good with the dogs. I mean, I've been to places where I watch them and they are yanking and jerking on the dog's collar trying to get them to cooperate. They will do, like my dog had a couple of leg surgeries, so I asked them not to put him on the table so she would do it on the floor. I know that is a lot harder too. They are cooperative. They are pretty good at calling me back and stuff. I wish they opened a little earlier, that would be my only negative. They don't open until 10. I would rather drop them off even at 9, an hour earlier.

    ANNIE'S PROFESSIONAL DOG GRMNG
I stopped into this business to find out if they would be a good place to take my setter to be groomed before making an appointment.  I went in and asked if they typically trim dogs like mine before even making the appointment.  The gal that I spoke with seemed very nice and assured me that they had experience with setters.  I also explained to her that I didn't want my dog waiting for hours in a kennel to be groomed, that would be very stressful for my dog.  She assured me that if I brought her right when they opened that they would make her the first appointment of the day and have her done in just over an hour.  I felt very comfortable so I made the appointment.  She told me it would be about $40.
When I showed up on the morning of the appointment I dropped my dog off and spoke with a different woman, Annie.  We agreed that the dog just needed a trim on her legs, chest and tail.  I explained that I needed to have my dog done in an hour or so because I would then be going on to work.  She seemed caught off guard by this but said they would do it.  I explained to her that I would be waiting in my car in the parking lot and they could call me when she was done.  I also explained that this was only the second time she had been to a groomer, so I was unsure of how she might react.  They said it might be longer than an hour if she's a problem.  I told them that's fine.
Approximately an hour or so later I received a call from Annie asking how they wanted me to cut the tail on my dog.  She seemed very annoyed and told me they would be done in about 5 minutes and it would be $50.  When I walked in the door, Annie was clearly annoyed and told me "don't let her see you!".  As the other woman finished up with my dog, Annie came out and said, it's going to be $50.  I asked, "how did she do"?  She replied that she didn't do well.  She then went on to tell me that she needs time to chill and if we didn't have to push her around so much it would have been much easier on the dog, but if you're in a hurry, you're in a hurry.  We did what we could.  My dog came running out and immediately jumped on the door to leave.  My beautiful setter looked terrible - she had all of her hair cut off short - except for her tail, which you couldn't tell had been touched.  And it was a terrible cutting job - like they hacked at her beautiful hair.  All she needed was a trim!  She also had a nail that had been cut too short and was bleeding.  I just wanted to get her out of that environment as quickly as possible, she was clearly stressed out from the experience, so I paid the money and we left the business.
I made a point to stop in before making the appointment to make sure that they had experience with my type of dog.  She is a very high energy bird dog and no length of time at the groomer was going to "chill her out" as Annie suggested.  I didn't appreciate the inference that I didn't have the best interest of my dog in the forefront.  They clearly had zero experience with dogs like her.  I would have appreciated them making a phone call or walking 50 feet out to my car to tell me that they were having trouble with her and let me make the call on whether or not to go through with the grooming.  Instead, they man-handled her and gave her a terrible experience to remember.

    Groomingdales By Sarah
They are very good with the dogs.  They are very good a styling the cut too.  We have no worries leaving our pet there.  The price is rather high compared to what we used to pay in another city.

    CAIRN-DALE FARM PET RESORT
They told us the hours we could drop her off and extra charges if they kept her longer.  We brought our own food and they kept an eye on how she was eating.  We got a report when we picked her up that described how she acted and behaved.  The dogs are all kept separate until they can evaluate who gets along with who.  When we picked her up she seemed very well adjusted and not mopey or neglected.
