ABryan's Handyman & Home Improvement ServiceWe hired Bryan's Handyman & Home Improvement Services to remodel our condo to put it up for sale. The condo had not been modernized in 15 years. As a bonus we were able to use Bryan's wife, Christine, a realtor with Berkshire, Hathaway Fox & Roth of Robbinsville NJ. Chris was very instrumental with the remodeling decisions and her beautiful design enabled us to make a very nice profit on our sale. You might say, we were able to do one stop shopping which enabled us to sell our condo very quickly. Bryan's team was excellent. They were punctual - arriving at the time quoted and worked diligently, Their craftsmanship was excellent and they cleaned up when their job was finished for the day. We were very impressed with Bryan's services and would definitely use them again and feel confident in recommending his company.- Ron H.

AMTS ConstructionMatt and his team did a great job helping me fix up my father’s house for sale. They went above and beyond for us. In 20 degree weather they climbed on top of a gazebo to put glass work back on top and made sure the rest of the glass was redone so it would stay up. They were quick and efficient.- Deborah B.

FContacted primary handyman to install laminate flooring on two staircases in my home. We set up a date for him to come out to give me a quote. He ended up calling me the day of the quote having to cancel. He stated that an emergency came up at one of his jobsites and he wasn’t able to leave. We rescheduled and he was able to come out a week later. He told me he would get back with me with a quote in a few days. I had to contact him a week and a half later for the quote. He said he still needed more time to put it together but should have it to me in a couple days. Primary handyman did send me a quote and I excepted. He said he could start the second week in December. I agreed to the quote he gave me which was a reasonable price. He then sent me a contract for me to sign and to pay a 50% deposit. After I signed the contract and paid my 50% deposit he said he would be contacting me right before the start date. When he contacted me (December 2nd) he said he was behind on work with three different jobs due to COVID-19. As a nurse I understood the impact COVID-19 was having and businesses so I agreed to reschedule. I had already bought all my flooring and supplies. Primary handyman told me he had nothing scheduled in January and would be able to complete the job then. He said the only thing he had going on was a vacation in the beginning of January and that he had nothing else lined up. He assured me there would be no problems getting the job done. So we agreed on January 25. On January 21st I messaged him to see if everything was still a go since I had not heard from him. He responded back “Hello, yes we are. I will giving you a call this evening to go over a few things.” Primary handyman did call me in the evening and told me that he will not be able to do the job. He said that he had asked somebody else to do it because he was so backed up and work . (Never notified me that another person was doing the job he said he’d be doing). He said this person just called him 30 minutes ago and backed out. Not only did he say that he had to cancel but that he wouldn’t be able to do my staircases because he is so overwhelmed with work and would have to refund my money. I asked him what happened to him not having anything lined up for the month of January? He stuttered and said well I didn’t but then I did. Sounds like something better came along and he didn’t want my business. My estimate was in November and he has wasted months of my time. Now I’m back at ground Zero trying to find somebody to put in my flooring. I suppose all the signs were there along and I should have followed my gut that he was not reliable.

FRemove and reinstall toiletThe new toilet they brought in was leaking I was told that I broke it I paid $255 to install a broken toilet plus $100 for a toilet that was broken and the guy had the audacity to tell me it was my fault take a long walk on a short bridge but he wasn’t so polite this man is ruining your reputation I will think twice before I call Angie’s list again I’ll tell you that

DI needed a bathroom remodel for a small bathroom. I believe Doug took on more than he could handle. He said 4 days which took 6 days. He even told me on the last day he rushed to get out of here because he was tired. Well here's what happened. He uses a lot of caulk to cover up mistakes. The caulk around the standup shower on one side is already cracking. He only put 1 coat of paint on. So you see all the brush strokes and the spots where paint comes through. I mentioned something. And no response!!! He didn't even paint the shelf's in the closet. Here's the really bad part. The TILE FLOOR!!! Omg... It is so uneven. A couple corners are sticking up. Tiles are wavy due to not being even. First week grout was cracking and was coming out in pieces. Doug is very good about responding. I text him about the problem and he came to fix it. He took a grinder to the grout and refilled it. That made it worse. Grout line's are much larger then others. Corners he tried putting grout higher to fill in. Grout is on titles in areas that I cant get off. Grout is 2 different colors in spots. Being floor so wavy he put caulk between tile and floor board to hide it on those pieces. It's a total disaster!! So I text him about it. Didn't hear from him. 3 days later text him again nothing. End of week I text him that he's left me no choice but to go to CIVIL COURT!! Boy 2 minutes later he called. I thought I was being nice by offering to buy the tile again and give him $200. Or he can pay 1/2 for someone else to do it. He said he'd get back to me. Haven't heard a word!! I'm a very easy person to get along with. Him and I got along. So I don't understand why he has an attitude. Other than he can't do it??? So CIVIL COURT I go. First time I've used Angies list. And this is a top rated Comp. I don't know????

ATop Notch did a great job repairing a mess the previous owners left for us! We had lots of missing pieces of hard to find cultured stone that never affixed to the house properly. Mike resourced, repaired and re-did it all for us. He worked quickly and efficiently. He arrived on time everyday and the job site was cleaner when he left then when he arrived. Very professional and very great to work with!
