DMTS ConstructionOur job took over two months to complete and while the deck is nice, a lot of things occurred that have now made me hesitant about hiring another construction company/handyman. There was trash left laying in my yard everyday after they were done working, from empty cans to pizza boxes and styrofoam cups. There were also lots and lots of cigarette butts thrown in my yard and driveway even though I had a firepit two steps away from the deck that was being built. There were handfuls of nails left laying scattered around in my yard and driveway as well. We let MTS use our shed to store their tools every night while they were waiting for their truck to be repaired and once everything was said and done they lost the key to our shed which also had our lawn mower key on it. They offered to replace our address numbers for us, but they screwed them on my brand new fiberglass pillar that was just put up and the worst part was that the number eight didn't even match. I never even said I wanted them on the pillar, I had wanted them to stay above the garage where they originally were. So now I have two sets of address numbers, and I'm guessing they didn't want to take down the messed up ones because there will be holes in the pillar that I just paid for even though I asked three different times for them to be taken down. We had to point out that some of the gutters were not cut to the length of the house and that they were hanging off and some parts didn't have a gutter guard over it like they were supposed to. As of right now we are not really satisfied because the box to turn the lights on that are on the deck was supposed to be moved so that we could turn them on without walking from one side of the deck to the other, but everything was just left unplugged. Sometimes they show up when they say they will and sometimes they don't. We were told our job would take a week and instead it took two months but he made a comment about us not answering the door anymore on a day that he showed up unannounced while I was giving my daughter a bath. It gets tiring having to wait around for a knock on the door for two months when all the construction work sounds like it could be them knocking on the door anyway. At the end of the day, the job got done and we have a deck to sit on and the wood we wanted replaced was taken care of. But we added so many things onto this project like lights for the deck and new pillars and things like that thinking it was going to turn out awesome when really all the tiny details like that just got thrown to the side at the end anyway. We also never discussed our roof, but after they found some wood that needed to be replaced up there, they cut a hole into my roof while I was not home to check for damage so that they could try and get money from our home insurance to replace it. Well the insurance company wasn't going to cover it so they fixed their mistake but now we really need to redo the roof ASAP. I am glad that they saw my job through until the end but once we pointed out some things we didn't like, they came back a few times to try and fix it but some things are still left unfixed. That is where the whole thing has ended and to be honest I just want to be done with it anyway.- Stephanie S.

FThe deck looks great - the 2 guys that actually put the work into replacing our deck were GREAT! However, the sales person and the owner made this experience HORRIBLE! We should have seen the red flags with the sales person and walked away, but we were anxious to have our deck replaced. The sales person lied to us about the pricing and adjusted our contract after sending it to us. Also, his communication was relatively non-existent - we shouldn't have to call the office to get a response! It didn't seem like this was news to the office manager as she told us that she's told him many times that once the customer is calling the office they are already not happy. As for the salesperson's uncle, the owner, he is a BULLY! He called us to collect what we assumed was our discount, but since his nephew adjusted our contract to mark it as "Cash" - he would not listen to us and threatened us with charging interest and more for paying with a check. He was extremely unprofessional and we will NEVER work with his company again, nor refer this company!

AWe were initially impressed by the owner's itemized, detailed bid submission. We went back and forth to refine a few things but went into the project feeling confident b/c the others weren't nearly as detailed or organized. Demo started in November 2017. HVAC, electrical, plumbing upgrades (and some structural issues) began in January. We originally estimated that the project would be done end of April. There were a few setbacks mainly due to materials/suppliers delays and a few structural surprises found during demo, so we finished almost the entire project in May. Just a few punch list items left, but nothing compared to other projects I've seen and experienced as a real estate agent and home renovator. All the inspector approvals happened early June, and we were moved in. Only the the replacement of a defective sink is left-- but that was the manufacturer's delay as they sent a replacement that was also uneven in casting so we had to order for a 3rd time. Dennis and his team were professional, did what they said they would do, and treated me with respect throughout the entire process. As always, I recommend creating a detailed list of everything you want to happen and actively participating in the project. Dennis' team didn't push back on the collaborative effort and the end result shows the entire process' success. I don't have photos right now, but will upload some later if possible.
