ABluebird CFWHe was amazing. He gave all of the information. He even let me video his explanation so I could show my husband without mixing it up. He was very easy going. He did wear a mask. He was not at all afraid to tell us we could handle it ourselves. He explained what we needed to do and didn't charge.- Jackie M.

Aklenow&sons plumbing&sewer serviceI thought it would be a huge job. He had it fixed in 15 minutes, charged me $75 for the call. He saw another leak in the faucet, ordered a part and had that fixed in 5 business days for another $100, part included.- Jack F.

DEverDry Waterproofing of Grand Rapids/SaginawThe good news is the basement is dry. The bad news is the mess and cleanup that they left. We were told to that they would be out to install new cedar base boards and cleanup the the dust and dirty walls. They damaged walls during the installation process. They stated thsat they would be out on Sepytember 30, 2020 and they called to move the appointment to October 13, 2020. On the day of the apointment they called to canel the appointment and offered $700 to pay for the repairs and cleanup. The total bill to cleanup was more than $6,000. I would not recommend this company because they renig on their promices and do not complete the work.- Lori E.

AFoundation Systems of MichiganThey came out to give us an estimate. They were very professional, but we decided not to get the job done at this time.- Jeff A.

AAdvanced Basement SolutionsI contacted Advanced Basement Solutions, requesting an assessment on a basement. (We're projected to close on the house in a few weeks.) Our desired end-state was to simply reduce water/moisture so as to make the basement suitable for storage. Estimate was provided by Chris W. I couldn't have asked for a better / more honest assessment. From my (uninformed) perspective, the basement was in need of significant renovation----french drains, thicker concrete floor, etc. Chris informed us that such a massive effort wasn't necessary------a good paint-job followed by installation of a good de-humidifier would meet our needs. BOTTOM LINE: Here is another straight-A report endorsing their professional, straight-shooting service.- STEVEN H.

AAtlantic Coast Waterproofing IncContacted this company on June 15th with a chronic leak in the basement. the owner (Gary) came out to give a free estimate, arrived promptly, did a thorough examination of the problem, identified the issues, and presented us with a very well organized explanation of our specific basement problem. In these moments of the appointment, we were impressed with his knowledge and comprehension of not just the issues, but gave us choices on the remedies. He presented samples of the materials he uses to perform the work, and explained exactly how things would be done. We also felt that he gave us a reasonable estimate and we chose the least expensive option to remedy the issues. Once we decided to move ahead with this company, Gary organized the work and scheduled us for prompt service. His team Phil, Cody, and Casey arrived at the appointed date to prep the work areas. This was a pleasant experience because they showed interest and care in how I wanted my belongings to be handled. They included me on how organization and trouble-shooting so that they could do a good quality job in the expected time window of three days. Indeed, this is what happened. Not only did this team of men handle this work, and all of their duties, with utmost care and kindness, they were also quite personable and enjoyable to have on this basement job. They were all very neat, respectful, clean, courteous, and mindful of our daily activities. In earnest, this was a fine quality experience from the start, and it left us with feeling like a valued family...not just a customer. The work? It is excellent! We were invited to inspect the process along the way and the team would explain what was being done as they worked. On day two there was a slight snafu with the original set up of the pipelines when the house was built, and it threatened to delay job completion by a day. That didn't happen though, because the team was able to address the pipe issue satisfactorily without additional deconstruction needed. The cement work was neatly done and back filled; mold that had begun to accumulate was eradicated, and the work areas were nicely cleaned up. Additionally, the extra day was not necessary. The work was completed in predicted time and is a fine quality level of work. I highly recommend Gary and his team. I found them to be honest, trustworthy, personable, friendly, helpful, resourceful, experienced, and knowledgeable. Full 5+ stars on this business.- Kelly B.

FState ContractorsMy wife and I used State Contractors for basement waterproofing. The product failed, as we still had large amounts of water coming into our basement when it rained. In negotiating with the owner about what to do, we agreed to a partial refund of what we paid them (guaranteed in writing by the owner), but the company never followed through. I then filed a complaint with the BBB, and the company also did not respond to them. Feel free to check the BBB website for proof of this. Others have posted positive reviews for this company, so obviously this company has done well for some folks, but beware: If something goes wrong, this company does not honor their commitments, even when they put them in writing, and will simply ignore you until you give up trying.- Matthew P.

AThe most important thing I can say about Atlantic Coast Waterproofing is meet with all other foundation experts first, then call Gary. Why? INSPECTION 1. He pointed out that my basement floor overlaid the footer at different heights based on where you are in basement. --No other specialist pointed this out, this detail is very important 2. He was able to point out previous homeowners put in "home made" system --No other specialist pointed this out, this detail is very important 3. He was able to answer my questions about exterior of house that might need attention to maximize keeping basement as dry as possible, while working in parallel with interior system 4. Professional, respectful, straight forward PROPOSAL 1. Informative 2. Best warranty in the industry. 3. Cost came in similar to other proposals that would not have been effective solution for my situation INSTALLATION - BASICS 01. Anytime Gary ran into a home specific challenge he was able to overcome and offer different solutions to correct 03. Any silly question I had was happily answered 04. Walked me through progress daily 05. Was able to adapt to inspector asking for a different proposed sump pump solution, this was no problem 06. Was able to re-assure me that removal of old shower was best interest when he found sub-par installation and mold! 07. The work was super clean in basement 08. Trench was a good 14 inches wide, dug to bottom of footer, with 4 inch pipe installed 09. Gary made sure to test each weep hole very carefully and re-drilled any hole with questionable drainage or mortar clogs 09. Final gravel, pipe and cement installation was executed flawlessly 10. Permit inspector raved about the good job Gary and his team had done and he passed inspection with flying colors INSTALLATION - ABOVE AND BEYOND 01. There was questionable broken shower drain pipe, he just fixed it, no problem 02. While preparing area around sump pump Gary went the extra mile to investigate what could be another bad "home made" plumbing solution. Turns out the previous owner did not connect sump pump outlet to main sewer line, leaving a visible gap, and essentially allowing sewer gases to escape! Gary then switched gears, put on his plumber hat, and had multiple solutions to correct problem. There was a nominal cost associated with it, but I was MORE THAN HAPPY to pay for properly fixing a very bad plumbing situation. 03. Gary's crew are also there to get it done right. When his crew arrived one member pointed out that cleanout to main sewer line was not up to code. This was not pressing concern, but once other plumbing problems were uncovered, they brought this up to code at cost of some new PVC pipe. Very nice. 04. Gary's final cleanup surprised me, in a good way. After seeing first hand the unavoidable mess this type of work can cause, Gary humbly said they do their best with final clean up. Well, when we did final inspection, the basement and exterior never looked better. Nice.

ATroy and his team were so wonderful throughout this entire process! Troy came out over a year ago to quote - he spent nearly 4 hours on my property making sure that he understood exactly what was going on with each of my buildings. He took several pictures and gave a very estimate. I had several other companies come out to provide quotes & they just simply weren't as thorough or kind. Troy continued to follow up and once we were able to budget for the project, he came out and made sure nothing had changed. Throughout the job he took TONS of pictures so I didn't have to go under the building to check it out. They were professional & very respectful of our business operations. I will have them back this summer to finish up some additional projects! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

AMet with 360 Rep John R. (14 Aug 20). Received a quote for installing (4) 42"fortified helical piers to raise foundation of my attached garbage. Mr. was professional, knowledgeable, and he arrived on schedule. He performed an exterior inspection of my home and interior inspection of my garage to see if other repairs were necessary. He determined no other concerns aligned to my existing issues. The quote seemed reasonable for the amount of work involved; however, I was skeptical due to the hugh investment. It was somewhat comforting to learn there was a warranty and an engineering report was optional. I was a little concerned John forgot to inform me about the $250 permit fee that was required in addition to the engineering fee ($500); however, he said he would waive/cover this as it was due to his error. I reached out to three other contractors for quotes. One company which had previously performed waterproofing services in my basement had provided a quote for $25-30k. However, the company provided zero references for doing foundation supports. The second company "Percision Foundation Systems" convinced me to tear out finished paneling in my basement looking for a presumed horizontal crack. Fortunately, no such crack(s) existed anywhere; however, I now have to pay additional monies to have drywall installed. The third never responded. In all fairness, 360 SOL was my only option available to get the work done prior to winter. I was very nervous about moving forward; however, I am definitely impressed with my decision to have the work completed by this company!!! The work was completed 28 Oct (covid). The entire process went better than anticipated. The crew arrived on time and completely on schedule. Very professional and polite teammates. Clean up went well. Only two concerns: the $250 permit fee surfaced as a surprise in which the owner quickly reconciled, and the dirt left onsite could've been compressed more. Overall, I highly recommend Foundations Solutions 360!!

FHaving previously contracted HomeSpec once before, I recommended them to my mother-in-law to repair a leaking rod hole. Instead, the sales person tried to sell her a $17,000 interior drainage package that would have caused major damage to her finished basement. Ultimately she hired a different contractor who repaired the rod hole and an exterior masonry problem for $250, their minimum charge.

AExcellent. Alan was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. He did a complete check of the area and found no issues. ASteve and his team did a fantastic job and really stood by their work. They had to coordinate with the property manager (work performed on our Michigan rental property, we live in Georgia) and tenant for access to the property. The team was on site for a couple of days. They did an amazing job installing the drain pipe in the basement to pull the water into the sump pump and the auto on/off dehumidifier they installed in the crawlspace they connected it to the drain pipe so it would not require any maintenance by the tenants. The dehumidifier goes on/off by itself and drains just fine. The basement is now "bone dry" according to the tenant. We researched several different companies, and decided to go with Steve after we talked with him, reading reviews, talking with references and we watched his company videos on the waterproofing process. We really felt like he was honest and was not trying to bankrupt us to complete this job. It still costs us $5,000, but we felt like he would stand by his work and he has. We called him to go back out to the house after the job was completed to check on the dehumidifier (it was our fault), we had the electrical outlet installed in the crawlspace AFTER he completed the job, and couldn't figure out how to turn ON the unit. He went back out to check on it to make sure it was working and we are thrilled with the results. Would use him again and refer him without hesitation!!

CThe deck and wheelchair ramp are very well built, sturdy and attractive. Once construction was started it went up fast. I have no complaints about the time the whole process took as we were in the middle of the pandemic and I knew a lot of places weren’t open. There is a piece of siding that they had cut and left hanging that they won’t finish even after talking with Pete and the office. I was told that a service call would be set up but it’s been over a month. One of the two gates that went on the deck broke before being put up (one gate is at the top of the steps and one at the top of the wheelchair ramp) They didn’t tell us it had been broken, they took the broken gate back by our garage and set it near the recycling bin. I saw one of the guys take the wood down the driveway but thought it was a wood pallet. Lenny questioned us after putting up the one gate if we were sure we had wanted two gates even though I had discussed this with him in person and with Pete by text and phone. We paid for the two gates with cash but Lenny never offered to give back half the cash. They did bring a new gate a few days later. I feel that they lied by not telling us it broke and I may not have known if they had taken the evidence with them. I found out a week or so later when it was time to put the recycle bin out to the curb.
