AAmerican Standard RoofingI had three estimates, and they were just a couple hundred above the lowest one, but American Standard Roofing had a better customer review. The estimate was explained very well, and we had many choices, and we picked the 3D look. The James crew showed up on time, a great job, and outstanding cleanup. AParamount Building Inc.Another company was in charge of the maintenance of the roof in the past. They fixed a leak but leak came back few weeks later and said it would cost $500 for a proper fix. Then I called Paramount Building, someone came, explained the issue, fixed it. I paid $100 and so far we don't have any leak anymore. We will hire again.- Yves L.

AWe were very pleased with the work of Motor City Builders. From the first call Matt was very informative and upfront. He was timely with giving an estimate and gave honest information about the timing of the project and possible hold ups of materials due to COVID. Fortunately, that did not prove to be an issue. The workers showed up on time each day and worked diligently throughout the day. Siding is a high priced project and Matt's price was well within our set budget. We recently had a roof done and upon them starting the siding they found some issues with the roof that weren't done quite right. We appreciate them being upfront and more importantly skilled to fix it and complete the siding with quality workmanship. Again, Matt was honest about what was needed and although there was additional cost to us it was a crisis averted. We have already happily given referrals to those who have asked.

FI hired Mr. Roof to redo my 50 square roof based on the lowest total price. I was impressed by the speed at which they completed the job and how well they cleaned everything up. The crew was also very friendly and accommodating. A few weeks after the job was completed, we had a big rain storm. During the storm, we noticed our upstairs ceiling start to get wet and eventually start to drip. WE had never had a roof leak prior to having our roof replaced. The next day, Mr. Roof sent out a repair guy to check it out. He said it was the flashing around the chimney and redid it. After the next rain the problem was better but not fixed. They sent out the repair guy again. This time he said it was our chimney cap and charged us a lot of money for a custom stainless steel one. Next rain came, same problem. Repair guy came back a third time and said it was some bad bricks on the chimney. We hired a contractor to fix those and the issue seemed to go away for awhile. A different repair guy came back last week who caulked the chimney and said it would stops leaking until we had the entire thing replaced. They would also refer us to a contractor who could do that. Well… It rained again yesterday and the leak is worse than ever. They also never provided us with a repair contractor. Remember, our chimney never had a leak until they replaced the roof. I don’t think that’s a coincidence. I’d say they are now leaving us high and dry, but we are actually low and wet… I really wanted to recommend these guys based on the initial experience, but I now know that their service after the sale is abysmal. Don’t be sucked in by their prices. You get what you pay for.

FThey quoted me a price which was great. They were slow to get started. Couldn't tell me an exact date/time they'd be here, but did say in the next day or two...however it took 4 days before they actually showed up to do the work. Not a huge deal but not a confidence builder, either. They took only 5 hours to "complete" the job and I handing over the check, and they left. They did a very good job of clean up and were all very nice in person. I went up to do a look over (admittedly, I should have done that while they were here, but I was working and was pressed for time), and found a small spot they missed on the downward corner of where the peaked roof meets the flat roof, and there is an opening. It's large enough for me to fit 2 fingers into and it's obvious water can/will get into it. Because of this, I do not consider the job to be complete...there's a hole in the roofing that water can easily get into. I promptly contacted Joe who didn't believe me, until i sent him pics. He said he would definitely get it fixed because he saw it was definitely an issue but that a few days would be fine. He was surprised his guys missed it. That was on 11/27, they day they were paid and left. It's now 12/28 and he's told me at least 5 times that they'll be here in the next couple of days to complete it and never do. On 12/23, he basically told me to leave him alone. He did the job for cheap and they're really busy and they'll get to it, when they get to it. It will literally take maybe 20 minutes to finish and it's been almost a full month with nothing but empty promises. They never actually completed the job and now appear to have no intentions of doing so. I'm very unsatisfied with their attitude and lack of concern for a job they didn't do properly/complete.

ASureGuard Roofing did an excellent job replacing the hail damaged skylight in my master bath. I sat at my kitchen table for hours surfing the web and watching Ryan replace the skylight on my steep roof.
