Leak Pro Roofing & Skylight Co
Tom was great! Very responsive, straightforward and met every expectation. We were moving into a new house but couldnt finalize the sale without one skylight repaired. Many companies didnt respond, and the ones that did had 4-6 weeks waiting. Tom came out and did the repair the following week. He also works with a drywall guy that helped fixed the damage drywall around the skylight. Perfect and helped us greatly be able to get our new home!

At the time my husband and I hired Designs in Glass, we planned to sell our house once the renovations were complete. Over the years, we had grown so frustrated and unhappy with everything that was wrong with the house - it was outdated, had been neglected, there were electrical issues that were never properly repaired. Our house didn't feel like home. It was an uncomfortable, unattractive money pit. After years of dealing with marginally competent contractors/repair persons, we met with Howard at Designs in Glass. From our first meeting, Howard listened to what we wanted and he understood our vision and goals. He offered fantastic ideas based on his experience and expertise but was not ever pushy. Throughout the renovations, Howard was our exclusive point of contact. He was always accessible and responsive. He came to our house frequently, making certain all of the work was performed in excellence. He has a fantastic eye for detail and for the big picture. He left no aspect of our renovations unattended. Howard ushered us through the renovation process so that it was not at all stressful, and was actually enjoyable. Howard and his company are professional, experienced and absolutely reliable. Designs in Glass delivered everything we wanted beyond our expectations - including (but not limited to) our flooring, staircase, beautifully constructed built-in cabinetry in our family room, kitchen hardware and granite kitchen and bathroom countertops. Finally, our home is beautiful and feels like home. The work was completed nearly two years ago - so I've lived with it for some time. Everything has held up impeccably and I love the renovations today as much as I did when they were brand new. My husband and I have decided not to move and we actually entertain again. The renovations were well worth every dollar spent. Our upstairs bathrooms need to be renovated (the house was built in the 1970s). As soon as we're ready to proceed, we're calling Howard at Designs in Glass. No question.

    Perfection Home Remodeling
Joe, Tracy, Mike and the rest of the team at Perfection Home Remodeling was fantastic to work with from beginning to end. From the very first day we met Joe for an estimate we were impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Tracy was a God-send the entire process. She consistently communicated with us and worked so hard to get us scheduled early! She even handled my multiple changes and requests on the work to be done and was polite and considerate the whole time. Mike and his team did outstanding work. They were clean, professional, kind, on-time and very knowledgeable about all of the repairs and remodeling. I was overly impressed and felt as though the team at Perfection was a part of my family. I will miss talking to Tracy everyday! We will definitely use them again in the future and highly recommend them for your home.

It is not done yet; we are undergoing a major kitchen remodel, including removing all old cabinets, moving plumbing, electrical and gas and changing some walls. We were told the project would be completed in about four weeks and after 3 weeks, most of the work is done and on schedule to be completed as promised. They provide contacts to help with all aspects of the job and we found the prices of their contacts to be very competitive. Kitchen Master was not the cheapest option, but they also don't to do cheap work. They have been very professional and for they work they are doing in the time frame they are doing it, they are worth the investment.

    Rader Electric Co Inc
Rader came out and fixed the problem immediately. It was a light bulb issue. One of the two Halogen lights was not properly installed and caused the light switch to fail. It was fixed immediately. In addition, they took the time to reinstall the fixture, which was pretty loose. While I felt a little silly, it would have taken me hours to figure out the problem (it had already taken several hours of my life). They are pros and did the job in less than an hour - the minimal charge.

Designs in Glass with Howard & Bob did quality great work from start to finish. They get a A on quality, staying on schedule , pricing, flexibilty on addressing our choices. The master bathroom has a modern glass front, granite cabinet top, attractive time. Howard offered great ideas and options from quality providers we picked out. They kept the carpet and areas clean. They were flexible in adjusting to access due to local street repair. We recommend them highly and will look at them for future projects.

    Greenleaf Home Services LLC
Greanleaf did a great job. They scheduled the work promptly, arrived on time, and were professional, clean and neat through out. Greenleaf also diagnosed a problem I was having with bathroom exhaust fans rather than simply installing new fans, which I requested, but which would not have solved my problem. I will definitely be using Greenleaf's services again in the future.

    Remodeling Specialties/Fred Sons
The project went very well. Fred's crew is professional and highly skilled. The job was large. It involved taking out a small walk-in closet and completely gutting a small 3/4 master bath. We then built a gorgeous new master bath with walk-in shower, suspended double sink vanity, marble counters, high-end plumbing fixtures and features (recirculating hot water pump), recessed lighting, and fine detail ceramic tile work. The existing floor joists had some previous rot that needed to be repaired as well. We took the opportunity, while the floors and walls were open, to add closed-cell spray-in insulation throughout the home. A new pocket door completed the bath. Fred's crew was on time every morning and left at an appropriate time in the afternoon. They worked with my family schedule (dogs, cats, family party, travel, etc). They used a lock box on my front door and I felt confident that I could leave them to their work. My house has been safe in their hands.

Howard was present on site every day. If he couldn't be there he phoned. If I called because of any question or concern, I received an almost immediate response. Howard was very open to hearing what I wanted and was able to provide very good alternatives for me to consider.

Family Heating Cooling & Electrical Inc
They presented a plan and it looked good. They seemed to understand what I needed and provided a proposal. Estimated $5100 to $5200 and asked for 1/3 of the payment. I provided a check and they sent a description of the project that was very scrambled and difficult to read. I read and signed over the check. They said it would be a 5 days job. I did not understand why this was going to be a 5 days job just for adding the lighting and changing some fixtures. This came as a surprise to me, but I trusted Angie's List. They came over and at most worked 4 to 5 hours a day with 2 people. Main issue here is that they put several holes, and basically carved out drywall in several spots on the wall and in the ceiling. I asked why or if this was necessary (even called the company to clarify) they said "yes" and that "they do it all the time". I then asked them if they would repairing the holes and damage and they said "no" that the repair of the holes is not on them. I count that there are about 15 holes in my wall, the ceiling has about 10 holes. Today I had someone come out to repair the holes in my wall and ceiling and the man said that he was shocked to see so many holes in the wall and ceiling from the project. The repair is going to cost $1500 to $2000 at a minimum. In addition to all of this, I notified the company that I was concerned about all the holes in the walls and ceiling, that every night bugs were crawling in to my home. It?s a very serious issues because I have a small child who lives in my residence. In addition the day the person came out for the estimate or issue at the home, I described an issue with the recessed lighting in the bathroom and laundry room. They seemed to understand. They said okay and they could fix this or at least my understanding of it. When the company came over, they did not touch it at all. I said this was part of the discussion and needed fixed. They replied that no one put it on the paperwork or proposal. They said what is said and talked about is different than what is on the paperwork or proposal in the business world. They went over the areas and charged me $15 to $20 just to me what needed to be repaired and they were not going to touch this. I need fast resolution or will be suing this company and Angie's List both.
