APG ContractingPg contracting listened to all my descriptions and issues I had seen with the old roof and trim. We sat down and went over all the different levels of pricing and packaging. Most importantly, they went over every point and material in great detail. Everything was explained and communicated in a way that made us feel comfortable with our selection. On installation day, the weather turned and could not be finished. The roofers took the time to secure and protect the exposed open surface. Not with tarps. But by having the foresight to not expose an uncovered roof to the elements and possible damage. The next day they returned to finish their work. It was good to see that they had a plan for such unexpected circumstances. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the experience, professionalism, and craftsmanship I received. And at a price point that was not over board high or cutting corners low.- Russ B.

ATuff Shed Inc - DetroitInstallation went as scheduled after foundation and city inspection was done. The work crew of two were very professional and cleaned up afterward, nothing left behind, nothing damaged. Venetia Williams, sales and design consultant, guided us through the process of selecting a shed, adding windows, flower boxes, a door with an appropriate design, and matching colors. AAmerican OutbuildingsI met with Devin in late January 2020 to discuss the construction of a new shed in our back yard. The meeting with Devin went very well and he did a great job listening to my needs and provided a good proposal at a fair price. With COVID-19 and a delay in a major patio project I also had in the works (which needed to be done first - completed late June), Devin came back in early July and built a 6ft - 10ft lean to shed. He and his partner were very efficient, personable and did a great job building the shed to the specs he had drawn up in January. I have been using the shed for nearly 2 months and everything is great and I am happy with the extra storage space. After 2 major downpours, it is completely water tight and the quality of materials and finished product are excellent. I would definitely use Devin's company again.- Anthony F.

ANick and his associates did a fantastic job. We had some water damage caused by a poorly installed roofing / shingles. The damage took years to become evident. They corrected the water damage, and roofing issue. From removing the old rotting boards, to painting the replacements. Nick gave us an estimate on the repairs that he could see. The contract was a per hour + supplies bases, because of possible unknowns after the demo of the old. There was some additional work that needed to be done, but after completion, the estimate was pretty much on the money. I emailed Ion Construction through Angie's list on a Sunday, and on Thursday the project was completed. Based on this project that Ion Construction took on, I would recommend them highly. When another project comes along, I will defiantly contact Nick for an estimate. Thanks Nick!

FWe hired Tom and United Construction to come in and finish our 8-10 week renovation that was started a year ago. We let him know our previous contractor, Michigan Home Renovations and Construction, was not able to finish the job in a reasonable timeframe and the quality of their work was poor. We did not want a repeat experience and stressed quality, attention to detail, communication and scheduling. Now, sometimes you get a sign, and I got one and would have not hired him if we weren’t so desperate. In scheduling our initial meeting, he preferred early morning which was perfect for us. Someone over slept and missed the meeting, and it wasn’t me. That spoke volumes and really told us what was to come. We would never be a priority to him. Now we also know Tom misrepresented himself and took advantage of our situation. In his pitch he said he did most of the work on his jobs and would be onsite every day to ensure quality (actual: he was onsite one day to work, and another day to pick up a check and that was it). In his pitch he said he stressed his attention to detail (actual: as you can see, if I can attach photos, there was no attention to detail, our window trim is uneven/unfinished and in most spots not even touching the wall, among other missed details). In his pitch he said he’d ensure he’d be done by Christmas (actual: a month after Christmas, project not near completion). In his pitch he said they’d be working every day until completion (actual: workers called in sick multiple days which happens, but he also gave them a week off). In his pitch he said his cabinet rep would be one of the first people on site to evaluate the situation (actual: I believe to this day the cabinet rep has never stepped foot in our house). When I scheduled a meeting to discuss my frustrations, he cancelled at the last minute due to a bad back (which he didn’t get at our house) and was never heard from or seen again. I emailed, called, texted and received no response. I’d imagine that if you’re ever fortunate enough to be a priority for your contractor and not filler and take a back seat to every other job they have, your experience would be wonderful. That was not our case with Tom, who I believe flat out intentionally mislead us. Our bar is low, we only expect that you keep your word and do what you say you’re going to do. I will file a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General’s office, and file a suit if we’re not refunded what we’re owed. I will keep my word.

AMarc was great. He responded to my call promptly and was out within a day to give a quote for work we needed done. He did a great job redoing our fireplace, adding a counter to our dry bar and adding a door to our storage room. He cleaned up and removed all remnants from the job. I’d highly recommend him!

AExcellent service!! Chris made contact with my wife, set up a time to complete the repairs and met with my wife. He had to replace the dishwasher, so they went to a local retailer to buy a new one, which he installed quickly and efficiently. He easily corrected the problems with our ceiling fan and dishwasher, and adjusted a window balancer in the master bedroom. Terrific value and experience--will recommend and definitely use again!!

AThe company’s communications were timely and appropriate. My repairman was knowledgeable, thoughtful and good at explaining the issues involved. He offered me options to consider and registered my choices. It took a bit longer than anticipated due to a prior repair that had stripped some threads on a pipe needed for a leakless installations. Great service, easy to work with and I am comfortable knowing the repair was done “right.”

AI had a lot of anxiety in remodeling my bathroom due to past experiences with pros. The minute I met Tom the owner of Slam Hammer Construction I felt comfortable with him. I did get other estimates, but decided Tom was the one for me. Boy am I glad I did! The construction crew is professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly. Such polite young men! Work was started sooner than expected and finished on time. They worked very hard and made sure they cleaned up every day before they left. They all guided me to make the right decisions. Everything they said they were going to do got done. I have no issues at all. My finished bathroom is just beautiful! I know I can call them if I need help with anything else. I truly feel like I have a “construction family” now! Don’t hesitate to give Tom and his crew a chance. They are rated A one in my book!

AHe is excellent. He stuck to the timeline and price when he remodeled our kitchen three years ago. They gave great options which made the planning easy for me. They roof was done just two months ago and they were just as professional with this as well. We like them so much we are currently having him work on remodeling for a building for me. I met him through a church group and he does a lot of work for our church as well. He is an honest guy and we would highly recommend him to anyone.
