It was great. I couldn't have been happier. They cleaned up everything and there was no dust or anything left. The satellite dish was mounted properly and I'm so happy with my TV.

We are very happy with that. It was about $200, but they gave me a $200 rebate. However, it seems like it didn?t cost me anything and I got the DirecTV Protection Plan. They checked if everything was set up properly and they worked with me. It was a great experience. The quality seems great since we haven?t had any issues at all. Their responsiveness was wonderful for just the installation part. I haven?t had to deal with them for anything else.

They are not true to their word.  They do not follow through with what they say they will.  I purchased a two year contract and the first year I was paying $53 a month.  Now it is $90 a month after the first year.  I called and complained and they dropped it down to $80 per month and that is only for basic cable TV.   They said that if I dropped the Big 10 Network they would drop $5.00 off the cost.  I don't feel like that is right.  They also said they should have been charging me $10 for the Big 10 Network, but were giving me a $5.00 credit for the first year.  They also came out to fix my cable when I first signed up.  Everything was wrong and nothing worked.  I went through two months of watching TV that was pixellated and locking up.  They put a new dish on the house and installed two new hoppers.  They apologized, but then charged me $172 for fixing the problem.  I didn't pay that since it was their equipment and their fault.  They never installed it right in the first place.  I want other people to know before signing up with this company.

This is a shorten version of a long story. A DirecTV representative offered me a 3-month package deal for being a loyal customer. I was told that I would pay a one-time fee of $4.99.  I was also promised that if I cancelled the deal at the end of 3 months "NFL Ticket" would keep running to the end of the season.  Of course that sound too good to be true but when I repeated the $4.99 price back to the representative I got no correction from her. I called and talked to a DirecTV representative because none of the package deal that I was promised has been turned on (in days let alone the 24 hours that I was promised).  The representative led me to believe that the package I was told about could not have been possible so I told her that I had been lied to and to cancel everything and put me back on my original package plan.  I also said that I do not want to pay one cent for programing that I never got to see. I was advised to call back in September to switch my plan so that wouldnot received a doubled billing for switching back so quickly before the completion of the billing cycle.  The representative said the billing would stay at the reduced price that I was able to view on my computer because I didn?t (and would not) receive any new programing.  A letter from DirecTV arrived the following day.  In it a 12-month service agreement/$300.00 cancellation fee was stated that was never mentioned over the phone during the original "promotion" offer. DirecTV activated the programming on August 1st (instead of July 13th or 14th).  Having picked up my DirecTV bill, I see a charge of $116.14 instead of the promised reduced price. I call DirecTV and asked: First - why am I seeing a partial charge for HBO & etc. from 7/13 to 7/29 when the phone conversation and in the letter sent from DirecTV it was stated to be FREE?   I told the representative that free means free and being charged one dime for those channels is false advertisement but he would not remove the charge. Second - why am I seeing a partial charge for Ultimate programing from 7/13 to 7/29 when it was not turned on until August 1st (that was the very thing that I told a different representative back on 7/17/13 that I didn?t want)?  Once again no change to the bill. After raising my voice, promising to alert the BBB, and that I had called to cancel within 3 business days; the representative countered with reading back only parts of previously recorded conversions to try to convince me that I never did what I said.  Finally the representative made a ?one-time offer? of removing $20.00 from the bill.  I continued to complain and he raised the one-time offer to $30.00.  The representative told me to go to the website and make an email complaint when I asked to talk to his superior. At this point, I wanted to dropped DirecTV (like come get your equipment right now please) so I called to cancel. When I repeated my complaint to yet another representative and said that I would be contacting the Attorney General?s office (what do you know) he said that he could remove those charges (that the other representative refused to) if I cared to remain a DirecTV customer.  I told the representative that I had cancelled the ?loyalty package? within three business days and that I did not re-ask to have the package turned on. The representative said that he would cancel the charge for the package, and that my final bill would be $250.00. The representative said the three business day cancellation (which he indicated was the reasoning behind removing other charges associated with the promotional package) did not apply to the cancellation fee that was also part of the promotional package (but that I was never told about at the initial phone conversation to sell the package).  The day after canceling I get a call from DirecTV and it is a representative giving me the ?loyal customer? pitch all over again.  I stopped her to say that I have cancelled DirecTV.

I had them install Dish Network in my home.  It didn’t work in my motor home.  They gave me all types of excuses and sent several people out to fix it (in which they said they couldn’t do).  So I had no access to my satellite.  They finally sent me to an authorize dealer for Dish Network, which was Camping World and they were unable to correct the problem and give me access to satellite.  I knew there was nothing wrong with my system because in worked with DIRECTV.  It cost me $800 to get the satellite fixed with another company (DIRECTV).  The manager of Dish Network said that they would terminate the early cancellation for no charge; they just needed the equipment back.  Later, they sent me to a collection agency.  I talked to Debbie at the collection agency and she said Dish Network pulled back the collection…saying I didn’t owe anything.  Now 2 years later Dish Network has sent me back to a new collection agency for the same exact service they pulled back 2 years ago.  After $800 odd dollars later, I’m getting calls from collection agencies and the possibility of ruining my credit.  I tired of these letters that were supposed to be handled years ago.  I have great credit and this is going to hurt my credit score because of a company’s mistake and lack of integrity.

checking. THIS IS CRIMINAL!!   They might be cheaper in charges than Direct or Cable but if you have ANY problem with your billing don't expect any fast resolution. I have spent enough time on the phone with them to actually do my 2011 taxes. Today I was on the phone with them from 11:10 to 11:46 only to be told I won't get my money back until at least December 30-Jan 4th.  THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST IN THE INDUSTRY!  IF YOU HAVE AN OPTION, DO NOT GET DISH NETWORK.

Right from the beginning they lied to us.  The technician said if we needed any additional help he would be happy to help.  He said we could take the equipment out of our home and take it in our mobile home.  I wasn't able to get it hooked up.  When we got down to Fla, we saw Dish helping others out.  We called and asked if they can help us get it set up.  They said they didn't know what the problem was, but they could set up the dish on a pole outside of the camper and run a cord through the window.  Of course thay won't work, we won't be in one place all the time.  Eventually we decided to cancel the membership.  I have several records of them telling me there is no cancelation fee's. However now after we returned all the equipment, they are charging us $178.00 on cancellation fee's.  They have taken me to two collection agencies.  They asked for me to return the equipment to an authorized dealer.  That cost me a fortune in travel cost. I eventually got the money refunded, however it took quite a bit of hassel.  I had to have my bank refund the money.  The manager of the authorized dealer refused to refund my money eventhough they have a satisfaction guarantee.   Overall they have treated me terribley, they have lied about our contract and have given me the run around on several occasions.  I would not reccomend dish network to anyone.  Use Direct TV.
