    Mid-Michigan Appliance Doctor, LLC
Excellent service and knowledge. The Appliance Doctor went above and beyond what was required. He helped me solve me a problem and made good suggestions that led to a correction. He installed a new oven, his rates are very reasonable and I am very grateful for his service and am happy to recommend him.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Was told after the service man got there that there were no replacement parts available for the 10 year old machine. Sears was told which machine I had and what was wrong before they got there. So why send a tech? They cannot fix it correct! The tech was there 10 minutes and said nothing can be done. Why send anybody under that reasoning? Easiest $100 billing they can get. That is never going to happen again. Very Poor customer service if they already know you are not going to be able to get parts.

    Lane's Appliance Repair
When the "fix" didn't hold, I saw a different Lane's. The new fan often started making noises less than two months after replacement. Their first response was that my 60-day warranty was expired when it wasn't. And then, as you might guess, it didn't make any noise when Andy came out to fix it. He told me to record it when it happens again and call them. I did that a couple of days later and nothing's happened in almost 3 weeks since.

Not well. Can't understand how these people received such a high rating. When we called to arrange for a service call, we explained that this was for a front load, Kenmore washer machine & it was pumping water but wouln not spin. I had already opened the inspection panel and saw the belt was intact so we were sure that was not the problem. When my wife let the service tech in he was very direct. She felt he acted almost rude and was very matter of fact. I arrived shortly after he had already started looking at our machine. I greated him saying that we appreciated him coming so soon & we selected their company based on the high Angie's List rating. He barly acknowledged I even said anything, let alone coming into my home like he had an attitude. He spent about 10 to 15 minutes looking at our washer & proceeded to tell us that they didn't work on front load washer machines. He could have said that to begin with & been on his way. He grunted the name of another company to try & out the door he went. Not so much as a thanks anyway, sorry we couldn't help or kiss my behind. My wife & I looked at each other and we were both so stuned, all we could say was, wow. Never calling them again nor will we recommend them. We all have a bad day once in a while however, acting like that, with a new perspective client, is no way to build your client base. This service tech really acted like he could have cared less.

    Town and Country Appliance Service
T & C did an excellent job in replacing the failing evaporator in my Sub-Zero refrigerator. The technician, Will, worked quickly and carefully to make the repair. He was very personable and polite. He was delayed briefly on another job before coming to my house but called me to let me know about the delay. There are not a lot of Sub-Zero technicians in my area and most of the authorized repair services are terribly expensive. Mine repair was not simple or cheap but the final cost was considerably lower than what the authorized shops charge for the same repair. Will is very experienced with Sub-Zero repair so I decided to give him a try. My refrigerator is operating properly again. I am very pleased with the results and will definitely go back to T&C if I have need in the future.

    Sears Appliance Repair
A man came and looked at my dryer. I told him what I thought was wrong and he went on to repair something else and then it still didn’t work because what I told him from the start was what the problem was. So I had to pay for that and I wasn’t happy with that. I had to pay for a misdiagnosis. I've never had any problems with Sears repair in the past and they have delivered other appliances to my home. In the past 6 years I bought a GE dish-washer and it didn't last 5 years. I didn't whether I can blame Sears or GE.

Brian was quick about returning my call. Was able to schedule me for the next day. Quickly determined the problem(s) and fixed within about 1/2 hour. Worked like new and did it for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to (and will) call him again.
    Thanks Brian!

    Lane's Appliance Repair
I had a new washer that was installed incorrectly by a big box store which resulted in the loss of a load of clothes. After hooking cold water to cold inlet and hot to hot problem was solved and I requested replacement of some of the clothes from the installer. Installer denied claim saying it was a product defect. Lane's Appliance came out the day after I called and verified that the washer was working correctly. It was awesome to have such quick, friendly and experienced service from Lane's. I would highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

We have a side-by-side freezer and one day our ice container melted and yet there were frozen ice cycles at the bottom of the freezer. I set the temperature as high as it would go, thinking that would take care of the problem. The next day, same ting. it was not cooling the top part of freezer. I looked at Angie's list for large appliance services, and found Dick's, with a good rating. I then called around 2 pm, was not able to come that same day, but promised to come the next dat at 10am. Which he did and immediately  diagnosed the problem - the fan which circulates the cold air up to the top of the side-by-side freezer, had stopped. He returned the next day, and replaced the fan,  and all was working well.

Everything works fine now.  Jeremy was polite, convivial, and unfailingly helpful.  He provided an explanation of the problem and repair.  He also glued a gasket ring to the door of our clothes dryer (using a new part I previously purchased) and helped us get the best deal on pricing.  (My "B" grade for "Price" is not so much an implied criticism as a lack of ability to know what the going rate for this type of repair is.
