Designs in Glass is a first class operation. Starting with our initial visit with Howard, we felt at ease with them handling our project. Since it was a smaller project, we felt at times like there were some delays while work was being done on other projects. This did not matter that much though as the end result was excellent. They are not the cheapest option out there, but they are definitely worth it.

    Marsh Contracting
Marsh contracting came in and took our 50+ year old bathroom and made it into a great, functional space. I wish I could explain the awfulness of the "before" situation they were facing. Tile and plaster 3 inches thick; square, heavy bathtub that need to be removed; galvanized steel pipes with years of corrosion blocking water flow. They had great suggestions for improvements and helped us stay within our budget while still taking care of the things that needed to be done. They were prompt and worked quickly; the only hiccup was on our side with a delivery issue, and they were able to work around it and keep the project rolling. Bob and his team were upfront with us on everything, and I felt that I had a clear idea of how the project was moving along, next steps, and the timeline for completion. Communication was never an issue, whether via email, phone, or text. And my super picky Father in Law has even complemented the great tile work!

    Icon Restoration & Construction LLC
We had major fire damage and unfortunately not great insurance coverage. Icon helped us to work with what we had in order to defray heavy out-of-pocket costs. They were professional, courteous, and respectful the whole way through. Their level of expertise and knowledge on repairs, restorations, and all the products and materials, and their quality levels, are unsurpassed. I'm not one that usually fully relies on others judgments even professionals that I hire, but this is a company whose expertise and skills were highly valued. They involved me in all the decision-making and informed and educated me of all my family's choices and options. Because of the magnitude of the damage and repair and restoration required, there were times I felt in over my head, and it was that these times, I felt completely comfortable deferring to their best judgment and expertise. I fully trusted them and never felt like they were not acting in me and my family's best interest. We were assigned a project manager that was specifically dedicated to our home and he is truly what made our experience so great. For all the reasons aforementioned. Additionally, he took great charge and I was always available when needed. A true professional. With the level of damage from the fire, it took quite a while to complete the work, so we came to know Icon very well. Through the entire length of time, they only continued to prove more and more trustworthy, reliable and performed well all the way through. We very highly recommend. A+ all the way through.

This is for restoration. We had water leaking into our bathroom from our kitchen. They are going to be painting and repairing our kitchen, walls and ceiling and completely remodeling the bathroom. It is interior painting. They are going to be doing some repairs too. Drywall where the wall dry rotted out. They worked with the insurance company that I have. They came right on time.

    Discount Home Services
He did not actually do the work for me but he was willing to come out and look at the job. It was covered under insurance and that is where the problem kinda lied. His quote was way off from what the insurance company was willing to pay. We did not end up going with them because we could not get the two of them to agree. It was for restoration of the bathroom. It needed to be taken out and refitted. He actually came out. These providers, Angie's LIst or not, they do not return your phone calls. It is super frustrating, you can not get anyone anymore. He actually took my phone call, came out and did the estimate and everything. He did a good job. He followed up on his side. He was at least willing to come and estimate the job and gave me a professional estimate. It all went very well. Unfortunately, I could not use him.

    Cumming's Plumbing Inc.
Brad was our plumber and he was excellent. Very quick response and was honest about the work needed to be done. Brad looked at some old plumbing and gave an estimate at what could and could and could not be done within our price range. i was very satisfied with there service.

The tile work was excellent, Arthur and his assistant did a wonderful job and clearly take pride in their craft. They were fast but did not let quality suffer.   We are very happy with the bathroom and really appreciate that Arthur came out on a Saturday to wrap things up.  The estimate was provided in a timely fashion and is in an excellent format that is itemized so you can see exactly where your money is going. As you make changes, the estimate does debits and credit line items so it's very easy to understand - loved that. The office staff is super friendly and responsive and made our communications seamless. The price was fair and they communicated the cost up front and with every change so there were no surprises.
There were some hiccups with scheduling, some miscommunications and small issues with the window and returning supplies but all of those are things we expected and totally understandable (I think we are reasonable people :)).
The only gripe we ultimately had is that the end of the project, it seemed like they were rushing to "close" the job because they were behind schedule. They had installed a shower rod that stuck out so far that it literally touched the cabinet above the toilet, and a vanity light that had LED bulbs in it and made it look like a morgue in there.  Admittedly, we absolutely chose these items ourselves, but when we asked them if they could switch them out after we did the "punch list" (which is essentially a wrap up of the job) my husband was told that was like asking them to "come shovel our snow."  Now I understand they cannot come out and switch things at our beck and call just because they remodeled our bath, but come on.  We are not professionals, we are novices and had to make a lot of decisions about things we had never even dabbled in before  and it was overwhelming- so if we ask you to switch a couple of fixtures on an 11K job, we don't think that should be equated to us asking you to "shovel our snow."  In the least, the shower curtain that touched the cabinetry and draped on anyone using the facilities would've been nice.  Anyway, my husband ended up having to do those things and will have to do some other small things like fixing the caulk that is peeling up and scraping off grout that dried unto the top of a couple tiles. Again, we feel this was due to rushing at the end of the job.
In a nutshell, the team is very nice and the work was quality - the shower is absolutely stunning and we couldn't be happier.  They were always on time and were overall willing to listen and work with us on our choices. Arthur was very knowledgable and made good suggestions. We would consider them again, but with a little bit of wariness based to the above.

    JDA Contracting LLC
John was able to recover vintage tiles and surrounded mirror in bathroom so that it looks really fresh and recovery of vintage materials is really impressive. He also did a fine job removing stuck on wallpaper and his team did a great job plastering the bathroom. All fixtures were replaced including identifying new plumbing fixtures. Tub was re-glazed very well. Bathroom was a tough project and John was great. He communicated with us well and always followed up on questions.

The work was well done.  The ceiling joists and duct work were difficult to paint, due to the numerous corners and obstructions.  There were a few spots where the paint ran, but overall a good job.  The pricing was fair and reasonable.  The work was done on schedule and in the estimated time.  Overall I was quite happy with the results.
