    1-800 Water Damage
I called the company at 5 or 6 p.m. on a Friday and got an immediate answer with a promise that someone would call back within an hour to set something up. Half an hour later, Fred called back and made an appointment for the following Monday. I was very impressed by the responsiveness, especially for a non-emergency outside of traditional business hours.
Fred was right on time for the appointment and was friendly and professional. He took his time assessing a small mold infestation in a closet in the upstairs of our home. He checked for excess moisture in order to rule out a plumbing or roof leak. He then looked at some apparent growth on a wall in our basement, and diagnosed that as concrete efflorescence. He took his time inspecting both the closet and the basement, and then he gave me very detailed instructions for correcting both problems myself. He advised that his company could treat the mold, but that their $300 minimum charge would be overkill for our needs.
I really appreciated that Fred took the time (he was there for around an hour) and care to inspect everything carefully and to give his recommendations, especially since this was a free assessment that ended with him recommending against his own services. He seemed honest, professional, and knowledgeable, and if we ever need a major mitigation job done, I would call this company again.

    Clean Cut Abatement

I can't begin to express my satisfaction with this company.  When a major flood damaged my entire basement, it was necessary

to replace electricity, dry wall and carpeting. All went well until I tried to have my carpet put down, it was then I was advised that the tile was lined with asbestos.  I had no idea where to begin.  My daughter had a similar experience and researched companies for me.  When she found Mike, she called me and said this was the one.  She was absolutely righ

Mike arranged to come to the house at my convenience.  He examined the basement and explained what had to be done and the process.  He was professional, courteous and patient.  He answered all my questions and assured me that he could and would clean my worries away.  He was true to his every word, a man of integrity.

Once the job was completed not only did I receive a certificate of the clean-up; but that the air in the basement was clear of any asbestos was well. To my surprise and to the honor of this man, when I went to pay for the services Mike returned a portion of the payment indicating that the clean-up did not require the time he originally thought it would take, so  he returned a portion.

I don't know of many or any companies that have that kind of integrity.

I would highly recommend this company to all.

The company was very polite and let me know that they couldn't perform the type of work I needed. Since I needed an air quality company, they were nice enough to send me some suggestions for companies that would be able to provide the type of service I needed.

    DRY-DOC Environmental Remediation and Restoration
They also cleaned, dried, and disinfected the floor. However, when he had the exact same problem on January 3, Dave was less than responsive. We told him we would hire our own plumber this time and he said that he would handle the cleanup. We called several times over the weekend, and he kept putting us off. Our plumber said that the clog had not been cleaned properly the first time. This started on Friday and finally on Tuesday, Dave responded to my email saying that he wasn't able to make it because of the snow. The snow didn't even begin to fall until Sunday afternoon, and that would not have prevented him from calling us. I would advise others to look for another restoration company who would honor their word and stand behind their work.

Called to get an estimate.  Gentlemen asked a few questions about the house and gave an estimate of $895.  I wanted them to come out so we could discuss where the pipes would be.  They are too busy to come out.  YOu have to schedule the work and then they will tell you what they will do.  Bad karma here.  What if my job is more complicated and thus the price goes up?  I would have no recourse.

I purchased the higher priced package which includes mold and radon testing.  They also arranged to have the main sewer line checked via camera through a 3rd party ($100, not included in above $500) at the time of the inspection.  Inspector also notified me that the home contained vermiculite insulation which in many areas of the country has been found to contain asbestos.  Had the insulation tested and it came back positive ($120 through a 3rd party lab not included in the $500, inspector handled everything).  Had he not made that observation, I would never have known and might have developed serious health issues, or at a minimum spent thousands having the stuff removed.  Overall, I have had a great experience with the company and they have been very helpful in arranging for third party services (sewer line and insulation testing) and went so far as to pay the pluming company and add it to my bill when I didn't realize that they were expecting me to pay them in cash/check on the spot.  Will absolutely use them again if the seller is unwilling to correct the problems identified and I need an inspection on another home.  Overall, I spent about $700 which will likely save me thousands and keep my lungs healthy.  Highly recommend Mike.

The inspection went fine, and they answered all of our questions.  They gave me a company they recommended to assist me further since they couldn't perform that service.

Expensive  does not seem worth it Especially when you do not have a lot of money and are on disability and barely make it anyway.  All because my sewer backed up.
